Diddy Trial Day 13: Victim 4 Mia Claims Rapper Threatened to Kill Her, Recalls Suffering 'Night Terrors'

On the 13th day of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial, his former assistant, testifying under the pseudonym Mia, spoke about years of alleged threats, abuse, and fear.
Prosecutor Madison Smyser began by questioning Mia about her trip to South Africa with singer Cassie Ventura in October 2015. Mia said that during the trip, Cassie discovered that Diddy was allegedly cheating on her.
The jury was shown WhatsApp messages from that time between Mia and Diddy's chief of staff, Kristina Khorram. In the messages, Mia told Khorram that Diddy was slurring his words and had threatened to take job and kill her.
When asked how the threats made her feel, Mia said she was 'desperate to make it right, terrified and sad.' She also revealed she was suffering from anxiety and "night terrors" because of her time working for Diddy.
Another WhatsApp exchange between Diddy and Mia from October 31, 2015, was shown in court. In it, Diddy appeared to pressure Mia, writing, 'If you don't call me now f*ck it all… Let's go to war.'*
Mia explained that Diddy was upset about a TV comedy show she wrote, which had been bought by ABC but never aired. She believed he was threatening to expose past s*xual assaults but twist the story to blame her.
Mia told the jury that not following Diddy's orders could mean losing her job or facing emotional or physical abuse. 'I was scared of him,' she said.
She also described an earlier incident from 2010 on a yacht in St. Barts. Diddy allegedly asked her to count money in a safe, and when she did, he became angry and chased her out of the room. 'I just wanted to leave the country,' Mia recalled.
Mia also testified about being suspended in 2011 for buying the wrong workout gear and said she was denied pay during the suspension. She continued working for Combs until 2017, explaining, 'I tried to run away before and it didn't work.'
She added that Diddy had the power to ruin her career if she left. She said, "He would have destroyed my reputation.'

The Cyber Crime Police of West Zone arrested a 42-year-old man from Thoothukudi for cyber stalking and blackmailing women by creating fake social media handles after collecting their personal photos and other details. Police sources said a 42-year-old woman recently approached the Cyber Crime Police alleging that she was being harassed and blackmailed by one Saravana Vikram after getting acquainted with her on social media. She alleged that he forced her to talk to him over WhatsApp call and share her personal pictures and videos. He also shared pornographic content to her. As he continuously sexually harassed, she blocked his calls and social media handles. Hence, she lodged a complaint with the police. He had also threatened to kill her daughters. After analysing call records and social media page details, police traced the suspect 42 of Thoothukudi and arrested him near his house. Police also seized his mobile phone. Police said he had at least nine social media accounts in fictitious names and had stalked several women. He had also threatened them in similar manner, said police.

Retired Lt Colonel and another man duped of 60 lakh in investment and banking scams
New Delhi: Two men, including a retired Lieutenant Colonel, were duped of Rs 60 lakh in two separate cases. Police arrested three suspects, and in one of the cases, the accused were found to be in contact with Chinese nationals. In the first case, a retired Lieutenant Colonel was duped of Rs 45 lakh under the pretext of an investment opportunity. Police arrested two men with alleged links to Chinese nationals. The accused were identified as Rahim Khan (24) and Indra Kumar Sahani (36). "Sahani was arrested in Ahmedabad, and based on his information, the other accused was apprehended," police added. The complainant informed the police that he was introduced to an online digital gold trading website by someone on WhatsApp. "Initially, the money was deposited into various bank accounts provided by the fraudsters. It was then converted into US dollars at a fixed rate of Rs 80 per dollar. The equivalent amount was shown credited to his account on the alleged trading website and used for trading," police said. The complainant continued trading, and his purported profits grew to Rs 1 crore. 43-year-old loses Rs 70 lakh in online trading scam
Hyderabad: A 43-year-old private employee from Alwal lost over 70 lakh to cyber fraudsters in a fake online stock trading scam. According to police officials, the victim was lured through WhatsApp by individuals claiming to represent Zerodha, a legitimate trading platform. The fraudsters, identifying themselves as Hanan Delvi and Ishita Paul, convinced the victim to install what they claimed was a 'Zerodha' trading app through a web link. Between April 30 and May 26, the victim transferred 72.55 lakh to various bank accounts provided by the fraudsters. To gain his trust, the fraudsters initially returned 1.73 lakh as 'profits' on May 14. When he later requested to withdraw 15 lakh, they claimed his account accumulated profits of 2.19 crore and demanded 43.93 lakh as a 'tax payment' for the release of funds. Alarmed by the demand for a huge tax, the victim visited the legitimate Zerodha office in Begumpet and realised that both the app and his trading account were fake. He immediately reported the incident to cyber crime authorities through the 1930 helpline and lodged a complaint with Cyberabad cyber crime sleuths. Based on his complaint, a case was registered at Cyberabad Cyber Crime PS under sections 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 319(2) (cheating by personation), 336(3) (forgery for purpose of cheating), 338 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc.), 340(2) (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), r/w 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS, and section 66-D of the IT Act on Friday.
