‘I am sure it is one of the best feelings you'll ever have' – Luke Littler excited ahead of World Cup debut
The 18-year-old will team up in Frankfurt with Luke Humphries, who beat Littler in the Premier League final at the O2 Arena last month.
Ireland will be represented by Limerick's William O'Connor and Keane Barry from County Meath and have been drawn in a group with China and Gibraltar.
Humphries guided England to a record-breaking fifth World Cup success with Michael Smith last year and a sixth crown is being plotted at Eissporthalle ahead of the tournament starting on Thursday.
'I've not spoke to anyone about putting the shirt on for your country, but I am sure it is one of the best feelings you'll ever have. I'm sure me and Luke are ready for it,' Littler reflected.

'Obviously Luke won it last year with Michael Smith, I'm sure he'll want to go back-to-back. For myself, I want to win it on debut just as much as Luke wants to retain it.'
If Littler is to enjoy a maiden World Cup of Darts triumph, he will have to improve his recent form in Germany.
The start of a hex can be charted back to September when Littler collapsed from a position of strength to lose to Peter Wright in the German Darts Championship final.
Boos occurred on that occasion and Littler struggled on Night Nine of the Premier League in Berlin at the start of April before three weeks later he fell short of German Grand Prix success in Munich.
Littler added: 'The only bad one last year was Hildesheim against Peter Wright. I think I was 5-2 up, lost 8-5 and obviously as soon as you're beating the home favourite, as everyone likes to call it, that is when they don't start to like you.
'I wouldn't say it's upset me but I would say I was obviously a bit angry. I wouldn't say (during) Premier League. The biggest one is Germany, but I did what Gerwyn Price always does, go on Instagram, have a bit of a moan and take it down half an hour later.'
World Cup delight with England – with the holders set to start their campaign in the second round on Saturday – will help Littler forget about his past tricky experiences in Germany and may change his mind on whether darts should be entered into the Olympics.
'Yeah, there was a lot of talk last year on the Olympics and for myself, I don't have a clue,' Littler admitted.
'Would it be good? Would it be bad? I'm not really an Olympics person, so I won't sit there and watch it.
'I don't know if it would be good or bad for darts. I am not sure if it would fit in as much.'

Competition for Evan Ferguson as Brighton sign €35 million teenager
BRIGHTON HAVE agreed to sign Greece U21 forward Charalampos Kostoulas from Olympiakos in a deal worth a reported £29.8 million (€35 million). The 18-year-old will sign a five-year contract on 1 July, subject to international clearance. Tottenham hire Brentford's Frank as new manager
Updated at 21.07 TOTTENHAM HIRED Brentford's Thomas Frank as their new manager on Thursday as the Dane replaced the sacked Ange Postecoglou. Frank has agreed to a three-year contract with Tottenham and becomes the north London club's fourth permanent boss since June 2021. 'We are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Frank as our new head coach on a contract that runs until 2028,' a Tottenham statement said. 'In Thomas, we are appointing one of the most progressive and innovative head coaches within the game. 'He has a proven track record in player and squad development, and we look forward to him leading the team as we prepare for the season ahead.' Tottenham set their sights on Frank after chairman Daniel Levy axed Postecoglou last week, just 16 days after he won the Europa League final against Manchester United to end the club's 17-year trophy drought. Frank is the 14th permanent manager of Levy's 24-year tenure. Levy made an official approach to Brentford earlier this week, with the deal concluded after Tottenham agreed to allow the Dane to hire his Bees assistant coach Justin Cochrane. Advertisement Frank's Brentford contract was set to run until 2027, with a reported release clause of about £10 million (€11.7 million). The 51-year-old led Brentford back to the top flight in 2021 after an absence of 74 years and has established the west London club in the Premier League. While Postecoglou was criticised for an overly attacking game plan for much of his two-season reign, Frank has been credited with a tactically flexible approach and a deft man-management style. Frank will also bring head-of-performance Chris Haslam and first-team analyst Joe Newton with him from Brentford, while another assistant coach, Andreas Georgson, arrives from Manchester United. Georgson spent a year at Brentford as a set-piece coach, while Tottenham's technical director, Johan Lange, worked with Frank at Lyngby in Denmark. Brentford director of football Phil Giles saluted Frank's role in his club's remarkable rise. 'From the moment he replaced Dean Smith, he understood what we were trying to build, and his wisdom, coaching ability, and emotional intelligence have helped transform the club,' Giles said. 'But it's not just what you see on the pitch. He forged a special connection with our fans, helped develop and improve players, and was instrumental in implementing the culture that has seen Brentford go from strength to strength.' Frank began his coaching career in the youth set-up of the Danish national team before a three-year stint at Brondby. He initially joined Brentford as an assistant coach before stepping in to replace Dean Smith seven years ago. After losing out in the 2020 Championship play-off final, Brentford bounced back to win promotion through the play-offs a year later. Since then, the Bees have finished 13th, ninth, 16th and 10th despite consistently selling some of their best players. Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna is the bookmakers' favourite to replace Frank at Brentford.
