The Israeli enemy continued on Tuesday violating the Lebanese sovereignty, launching drone attacks that left more martyrs.
The latest Zionist drone attack on a vehicle in Hanniyyeh town, Tyre District. The Lebanese ministry of public health reported one martyr in the attack.
The Islamic Group in Lebanon (Al-Jama'a Al-Islamiyya) announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of one of its senior leaders, university professor Dr. Hussein Izzat Atwi, who was killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting his vehicle.

Defense Minister Backs UNIFIL, Condemns Attacks
Minister of National Defense Michel Menassa visited the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) headquarters in Naqoura, where he met with Force Commander General Aroldo Lázaro. The meeting, attended by officers from both UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces, addressed recurring tensions between peacekeepers and local residents in southern Lebanon. In an English-language address, Minister Menassa praised UNIFIL's steadfast presence since its 1978 deployment following extensive Israeli aggression that claimed 2,000 lives and caused widespread displacement and destruction. He underscored that UNIFIL has become part of the fabric of southern Lebanese society, sharing in both its trials and celebrations. Menassa urged the international community to renew UNIFIL's mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1701 without amendments, calling it 'crucial for maintaining the stability and peace your mission has fostered over the years.' He emphasized the Lebanese state's unwavering commitment to full implementation of the resolution and pledged close coordination between the Lebanese Armed Forces and UNIFIL in securing the south, enabling the return of displaced communities, and promoting reconstruction. Highlighting the cost of peacekeeping, Menassa recalled casualties during major conflicts including in 1982, 1993, 1996, 2006, and the recent devastating war that ravaged southern Lebanon, parts of Beirut and the Bekaa. 'Through these immense challenges, you have remained steadfast … driven by moral integrity and humanitarian commitment,' he noted. The minister strongly condemned all aggression against UNIFIL personnel, stating that such acts 'serve only the enemy by obstructing the shared mission we all seek to uphold.' He also paid tribute to outgoing Commander Lázaro as his term approaches its end, commending his leadership in one of the world's most volatile theatres. 'On behalf of the South, of its people, and of Lebanon—thank you,' concluded Minister Menassa, expressing deep gratitude for UNIFIL's enduring solidarity with the Lebanese people.

Lebanese Army inspects building in Dahieh

On Wednesday, Army forces bulldozed the site of a building they had searched Tuesday at the request of the committee in the densely populated Sainte-Therese street in Hadath in Beirut's southern suburbs. The building had been targeted by an Israeli strike during the 14-month Israel-Hezbollah war. On Friday, Israel warned that it would keep up its strikes on Hezbollah targets across Lebanon, after it struck four locations in Dahieh on the eve of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. The Lebanese army condemned the airstrikes, warning that such attacks are weakening the role of Lebanon's armed forces that might eventually suspend cooperation with the committee monitoring the truce that ended the Israel-Hezbollah war. It said it had tried to convince Israel not to carry out the strikes and to instead let Lebanese officials go in to search the area under the mechanism laid out in the ceasefire agreement, but that the Israeli army refused, so Lebanese soldiers moved away from the locations after they were sent.

Oman to host US-Iran nuclear talks on Sunday

Meanwhile, there have been warnings that ships could be targeted in regional waters over the tensions. Al-Busaidi made the announcement on the social platform X. "I am pleased to confirm the 6th round of Iran US talks will be held in Muscat this Sunday the 15th," he wrote. Iran for days had been saying there would be talks, but Oman, which is serving as the mediator, had not confirmed them until now. There was no immediate comment from the U.S. Reaching a deal is one of the several diplomatic priorities being juggled by U.S. President Donald Trump and his trusted friend and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff. An accord could see the U.S. lift some of its crushing economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for it drastically limiting or ending its enrichment of uranium. But a failure to get a deal could see tensions further spike in a Middle East on edge over the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip. Iran's economy, long ailing, could enter a free fall that could worsen the simmering unrest at home. Israel or the U.S. might carry out long-threatened airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. And Tehran may decide to fully end its cooperation with the United Nations' nuclear watchdog and rush toward a bomb. Iran and the U.S. have held previous talks in Muscat and Rome.
