French football star Kylian Mbappé has made new accusations against Paris Saint-Germain following a dispute over outstanding wages with his former club.
The striker said he was sidelined by PSG and the Parisian public prosecutor's office launched an investigation into bullying, it said on Thursday.

With regard to the allegations, French media refers to a practice known as "lofting." This involves clubs separating players who don't want to extend their contracts from the rest of the team.
In summer of 2023, PSG travelled to Asia without Mbappé amid a transfer dispute. He was also absent from the Ligue 1 opening game and only returned to team training in mid-August.
At that time, Mbappé had already told the club he didn't want to extend his contract, which was to expire in 2024. PSG, however, were reluctant to let him leave on a free transfer.
In the end, that was exactly what happened as Mbappé joined Real Madrid last summer for free.

Following the transfer, Mbappé and PSG got into a dispute over outstanding wages.
The player was demanding €55 million ($64.41 million) related to outstanding monthly salaries for April, May and June of 2024, the last third of a bonus payment for his last contract extension and an "ethical bonus."
PSG refused to comply to the French league's request to pay Mbappé the sum and the league's appeals committee ruled in favour of Mbappé last October.

Liverpool, Manchester United-Linked Attacker Set for PSG Stay Amid Juventus Transfer Rumors

The future of Gonçalo Ramos at PSG remains uncertain amid transfer rumors linking him to a move away from the French capital. During this FIFA Club World Cup, the Portugal international has not performed well. Ramos tallied 18 goals and six assists across 41 appearances this past 2024-25 season, but this production might not be enough to keep him in Paris. Advertisement According to a previous report from journalist Graeme Bailey, Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Ramos. PSG are reportedly open to selling him, and the 24-year-old has already held discussions with clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia. Liverpool are also said to be considering a move, per Anfield Index. While the 24-year-old isn't at the top of their wishlist, the report claims he's being evaluated as part of the club's data-driven, 'Moneyball'-style recruitment strategy. Will Liverpool, Manchester United-linked attacker stay at PSG?On Thursday, Foot Mercato's Josué Cassé reported that Ramos appears set to stay at PSG, as he feels comfortable in Paris and has no intention of leaving the capital. The club's management isn't considering a departure either, with the striker under contract until June 2028. Recently, Ramos spoke to the media and addressed his future amid the rumors circulating with the transfer window officially opening on July 1. Advertisement 'My situation? I'm very happy here!' Ramos said. 'Everyone talks, but to me, it means nothing! We're all working together, but we want to win even more trophies!' La Gazzetta dello Sport previously revealed speculation about Ramos, suggesting the former Benfica striker could become one of the top names on the market this summer. Moreover, Juventus reportedly believe he may look for a new club due to limited opportunities at PSG.
