Israeli aggression continued with reports of additional airstrikes in the al-Sabra neighborhood, as well as drone attacks targeting civilians waiting for food assistance near the entrance to the al-Bureij refugee camp. Many were critically injured as live fire was directed at desperate residents in central Gaza, with casualties flooding into al-Awda Hospital.
So far, four martyrs have been confirmed, along with approximately 90 others seeking medical care following the assaults on aid seekers along the Salah al-Din Road.
The situation in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp worsened as two more individuals were killed and others injured from airstrikes near the Fayad roundabout.

Further attacks involved Israeli drone-launched bombs targeting displaced Palestinians along a nearby street, resulting in three additional martyrs being recovered from the rubble.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli aircraft bombed a tent housing displaced civilians in the al-Mawasi area, while military vehicles fired upon residents in the Batn al-Samin area, contributing to the growing number of injuries.
UN Warnings: The Risk of Famine in Gaza is Worsening
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) announced that the risk of famine in the Gaza Strip remains extremely high, given the ongoing restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid.
The WFP noted that since May 19, it has been able to bring only limited quantities of life-saving aid into Gaza. Only 700 trucks have entered since aid resumed, compared to the 600 to 700 trucks that entered daily before the recent escalation.
The WFP emphasized that preventing famine requires regular support for the people of Gaza by meeting their basic food needs. It emphasized that the entry of aid requires providing safe routes for convoys, expediting permit approvals, and opening crossings.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that the ongoing hostilities and worsening hunger are pushing more than two million people in Gaza toward despair.

Israeli Incursion in Rural Damascus Leaves One Martyred, Seven Detained

In a pre-dawn military incursion near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a young Syrian man on Thursday in the town of Beit Jinn, west of Damascus, amid a wider sweep through border villages near Mount Hermon. According to Syria TV, the Zionist troops also detained seven young men during a series of raids in the town. The martyr, identified as Mohammad Ahmad Hamadeh, was reportedly shot at close range. His uncle, Ali Qassem Hamadeh, was among those arrested. No further details about the detainees were provided. #Syria: at dawn around 100 Israeli soldiers carried out an unprecedented raid in Beit Jin (SW. #Damascus) – an area hit by a drone strike last week. It triggered skirmishes. Witnesses reported the sounds of Israeli tanks, armored vehicles, and aircraft accompanying the operation. Syria TV described the raid as a large-scale military deployment involving approximately 100 personnel and at least 10 tanks and armored vehicles. The invading forces reportedly surrounded Beit Jinn, using loudspeakers to call out the names of individuals targeted for arrest. Tensions escalated between residents and soldiers before Mohammad Hamadeh was fatally shot. The latest operation is part of a broader pattern of Israeli violations along the border with the occupied Golan Heights. These include surveillance and drone activity, as well as direct ground incursions into Syrian territory—often resulting in the detention of civilians, including farmers and shepherds working near the separation lines.

Defense Minister Backs UNIFIL, Condemns Attacks

Minister of National Defense Michel Menassa visited the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) headquarters in Naqoura, where he met with Force Commander General Aroldo Lázaro. The meeting, attended by officers from both UNIFIL and the Lebanese Armed Forces, addressed recurring tensions between peacekeepers and local residents in southern Lebanon. In an English-language address, Minister Menassa praised UNIFIL's steadfast presence since its 1978 deployment following extensive Israeli aggression that claimed 2,000 lives and caused widespread displacement and destruction. He underscored that UNIFIL has become part of the fabric of southern Lebanese society, sharing in both its trials and celebrations. Menassa urged the international community to renew UNIFIL's mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1701 without amendments, calling it 'crucial for maintaining the stability and peace your mission has fostered over the years.' He emphasized the Lebanese state's unwavering commitment to full implementation of the resolution and pledged close coordination between the Lebanese Armed Forces and UNIFIL in securing the south, enabling the return of displaced communities, and promoting reconstruction. Highlighting the cost of peacekeeping, Menassa recalled casualties during major conflicts including in 1982, 1993, 1996, 2006, and the recent devastating war that ravaged southern Lebanon, parts of Beirut and the Bekaa. 'Through these immense challenges, you have remained steadfast … driven by moral integrity and humanitarian commitment,' he noted. The minister strongly condemned all aggression against UNIFIL personnel, stating that such acts 'serve only the enemy by obstructing the shared mission we all seek to uphold.' He also paid tribute to outgoing Commander Lázaro as his term approaches its end, commending his leadership in one of the world's most volatile theatres. 'On behalf of the South, of its people, and of Lebanon—thank you,' concluded Minister Menassa, expressing deep gratitude for UNIFIL's enduring solidarity with the Lebanese people.

Lebanese Army inspects building in Dahieh

by Naharnet Newsdesk 12 June 2025, 14:35 The Lebanese Army headed Thursday to Beirut's southern suburbs to inspect a building at the request of the five-member committee supervising the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, media reports said. On Wednesday, Army forces bulldozed the site of a building they had searched Tuesday at the request of the committee in the densely populated Sainte-Therese street in Hadath in Beirut's southern suburbs. The building had been targeted by an Israeli strike during the 14-month Israel-Hezbollah war. On Friday, Israel warned that it would keep up its strikes on Hezbollah targets across Lebanon, after it struck four locations in Dahieh on the eve of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. The Lebanese army condemned the airstrikes, warning that such attacks are weakening the role of Lebanon's armed forces that might eventually suspend cooperation with the committee monitoring the truce that ended the Israel-Hezbollah war. It said it had tried to convince Israel not to carry out the strikes and to instead let Lebanese officials go in to search the area under the mechanism laid out in the ceasefire agreement, but that the Israeli army refused, so Lebanese soldiers moved away from the locations after they were sent.
