EXCLUSIVE The shocking link between a grandmother and a young mum she allegedly ran off the road before stabbing her and a child

A grandmother who allegedly stabbed her son's partner and a 10-year-old boy in a roadside rampage shared a home the woman she is accused of attacking.
Julie Ann Williams, 59, lived with her builder son Andrew Williams and his 27-year-old girlfriend Kellie Parkes in a house south of Sydney at Horsley, near Wollongong.
On Wednesday evening, Williams allegedly stopped Ms Parkes on West Dapto Rd in Wongawilli, before she got out of her own car and approached her vehicle, which sparked a heated confrontation.
The older woman then allegedly pulled out a knife, leaned through the front passenger window of Ms Parkes's car and stabbed a 10-year-old boy in the neck.
When Ms Parkes got out of her vehicle, Williams allegedly stabbed her in the abdomen.
Ms Parkes and the boy suffered serious stab wounds and were treated at the scene by paramedics about 6pm.
The boy was airlifted to Sydney and Ms Parkes was taken to Wollongong Hospital.
A three-year-old boy who was also in Ms Parkes's car escaped the incident unharmed and was in the care of a family member.
The alleged attack took place just a three-minute drive from where Williams, her son and Ms Parkes lived together.
Police arrested Williams at the Horsley house about 6.30pm on Wednesday and seized her car from the premises later that night.
Wiliiams appeared in Wollongong Local Court on Thursday afternoon charged with two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
She watched the brief proceedings via audio-visual link from Wollongong police station and did not apply for bail.
Williams leant forward to listen and when the matter was adjourned told magistrate David Williams, 'Thank you, Your Honour.'
She is the subject of an interim apprehended violence order protecting Ms Parkes with conditions which include not going within 500m of the family home.
When asked if she comprehended the restriction, Williams said: 'Yes, I understand.'
Neighbours said Williams lived in a flat behind the Horsley house, while her son lived in the front and Ms Parkes spent most of her nights there.
'She (Ms Parkes) is pretty much here all the time,' one neighbour told Daily Mail Australia.
'I always hear the son and his mum arguing a lot. Not really the girlfriend and the mum.'
Another neighbour said of Ms Parkes: 'She pretty much lives here.'
Of Williams, that neighbour said, 'I didn't have much to do with her. You wouldn't pick it.'
Detective Chief Inspector Brad Ainsworth said the three-year-old boy was 'not injured, not touched and not approached'.
The 10-year-old boy and Ms Parkes's condition had improved and they were 'in no danger and are progressing well', he said.
Detective Chief Inspector Ainsworth thanked members of the public who had rushed to help Ms Parkes and the boy and said it was not clear what sparked the alleged attack.
'Really, are there any words to describe what [Williams] is alleged to have done - it's just, it's crazy,' he said.
Williams will return to court on August 6 when she will be represented by Legal Aid.
Police have urged anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in relation to the alleged stabbing to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Tragic dad dies days after he lapsed into a coma following street arrest for alleged domestic violence attack

A father-of-two has died after his life support was switched off, days after he lost consciousness while being arrested by South Australian Police. Gaurav Kundi, 42, was pinned down by officers in Royston Park, north east of Adelaide 's CBD, after they claimed he was involved in a domestic violence incident. But Mr Kundi's wife, Amritpal Kaur, filmed portions of the arrest and alleged she tried to explain they had just been having a row before police intervened. Footage showed Mr Kundi standing as two police officers restrain him on the roadside as his wife protests his innocence. One officer appeared to use their foot to trip or push Mr Kundi, causing him to fall onto the bitumen. Ms Kaur told NIne News she stopped recording out of panic, but claims one of the officers then placed a knee on her husband's neck. Mr Kundi became unresponsive shortly after being brought to the ground. Ms Kaur admitted her husband had been drinking and they had in a minor roadside argument before police arrived. In a statement on Friday, SA Police however said that a review found that officers did not force a knee onto Mr Kundi's neck during the arrest. 'The senior investigating officer conducting the [Police] Commissioner's inquiry has reviewed body worn vision and it has been confirmed that at no time was a knee applied to Mr Kundi's neck,' the statement read. 'His head was not forced into the car or roadway at any point. However, the use of restraints during this incident will be closely examined during the Commissioner's inquiry.' Police say they will continue to investigate the incident which, they said, will have 'several layers of independent oversight'. The police statement released on May 29 said: 'At 2.45am, police witnessed an altercation between a man and a woman on Payneham Road, Royston Park. 'During the attempt to arrest the 42-year-old man from Modbury North, he became unresponsive.' Paramedics took him to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition. He died in hospital in the early hours of Friday, June 13. Police are investigating the incident as a death in custody. 'Major Crime Investigation Branch will continue to investigate the cause and circumstances of his death and prepare a report for the State Coroner,' a police spokesman said on Friday. 'The investigation and inquiries of this incident will have several layers of independent oversight, including the Director of Public Prosecution, Office of Public Integrity and the State Coroner.' English-language Indian news outlets have been covering the story closely, and SA Police have been providing updates directly to the Indian Consulate. Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong has also spoken out about the tragedy, and issued a statement to reassure Australia's large Indian community. 'This is an investigation that will be done properly,' she said. 'Be assured of our friendship certainly with India, but also the importance of the Indian diaspora here in Australia.'

EXCLUSIVE Aussie arrested during a routine traffic stop faces shock drugs charges after a wild night of partying

A third Australian man has been arrested in Bali for an alleged drug offence in as many weeks after he was seized during a traffic stop following a night of partying. Philip James Nelson, 33, was arrested after allegedly being caught driving a scooter without a helmet on in North Kuta, Bali on Wednesday afternoon. Bali police allege he was caught with 0.85g of cocaine and 0.53g of MDMA, which they claim fell from his pocket during the incident. Nelson, who had been living in a villa in the seaside village of Perenan, is alleged to have told authorities he found the drugs in a night club the evening prior to his arrest. Police immediately detained Nelson and took him to Badung Police Station where officials will have up to six days to name his as a suspect for a drug offence. Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade about Nelson's arrest. He is the third Australian man to be arrested in as many weeks on suspicion of drug-related offending. On May 29, Queensland man Puridas Robinson, 40, was detained after police allegedly found a stash of marijuana at his West Denpasar villa. Like MDMA and cocaine, marijuana is a Class 1 drug in Indonesia. His arrest comes after the arrest of Harsh Vardhan Nowlakha at Bali Airport in May when Nowlakha arrived from Los Angeles allegedly carrying 600g of marijuana. Nowlakha allegedly told investigators that he brought the drugs for Robinson and police followed him to Robinson's address where they searched the property. Robinson denied that he ordered the drugs. The head of the drugs eradication unit at Bali Branch National Narcotic Agency, Senior Commander Made Sinar Subawa, told Daily Mail Australia Robinson would not be charged with trafficking. Instead, he may be charged with drug possession which carries a maximum 12 year prison term. It followed the arrest of fellow Aussie Lamar Ahchee, 43, on May 22 after allegedly smuggling 1.8kg of cocaine from the UK while living in Bali. Ahchee has not yet been charged by officials but could face a potential death sentence if convicted of smuggling the cocaine worth an estimated $1.1million. Following his arrest, Ahchee's family descended on the island where his sister Stephanie issued a message of thanks to Balinese officials. 'Our family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to the Indonesian authorities for their professionalism and impartiality in handling Lamar's case,' she said. 'We are grateful for the fair and respectful treatment he has received from law enforcement and legal officials throughout this process.' Ahchee's lawyer Edward Pangkahila told reporters his client firmly denied dealing drugs, but conceded he was a 'drug addict'. 'Lamar has been set up by someone called "Boss",' Mr Pangkahila said, referencing a stranger in England who allegedly sent the Lindt boxes. 'He was told to collect the package, but he actually didn't know what the package was. He thought it was a normal package.'
