Jaguars' QB Trevor Lawrence, and WRs Brian Thomas Jr., Dyami Brown, and Travis Hunter were working out together in the Bahamas.
With wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr., Dyami Brown, and Travis Hunter in the Bahamas recently, was also Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, as he continues to build chemistry within the new offensive scheme with his current group of wideouts.
Over on Brown's YouTube channel, he posted a 16-minute video of the on-field workouts that the group went through.
In this new-look Jaguars' offense, one of the crucial elements under Liam Coen will be multiplicity. From the receiver position, this means having Thomas, Brown, and Hunter all able to line up across the formation, attack different levels of the field, and do so in a variety of ways.
This component is then an added stressor for opposing defenses as it makes it more difficult to decipher what's coming based on who is on the field or where players are lined up. To a degree, there's a level of unpredictability that the offense gains when each wideout can fill a variety of roles.
"I really like it," Lawrence said of Coen's offense. "It has a lot of answers. It's great. It puts a lot on the players, you have to know your stuff, but it gives you all the answers.
"You don't feel like you're stuck in a play that's not set up for success. We change the presentation a lot. We make a lot of things look the same. Without going into too much detail, there's a lot of things I like about it."
In this scheme, we will see more of Thomas lining up in the slot and regularly threatening each level of the field. Brown and Hunter both bring more speed to the offense and can help take some of the focus off of Thomas.
With this trio and Lawrence at quarterback, there will be a lot of different looks that the Jaguars can throw at defenses.
"We'll be multiple and want to be a complete offense in the sense that we have the ability to attack defenses in a variety of ways," said offensive coordinator Grant Udinski.
"You need to have all the tools in the bag, and then take those tools and fit them to the players that you have. How can we take what our guys execute, what our guys execute well, and put those players in the best position for success."
