Rylan Clark admits he felt like a 'complete failure' after his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal

has emotionally admitted he felt like a 'failure' following his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal. The TV presenter, 36, split with Dan in 2021 after six years of marriage when Rylan admitted he cheated on him. On what would have been their ten-year wedding anniversary this year, Rylan got candid about how he felt following the divorce. Speaking on his new podcast Rylan: How to Be in Love with Stephen Fry, he said: 'We got married in 2015. 'That same year, yeah. So it would have been my 10 year anniversary this year.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Stephen then asked if Rylan felt any kind of responsibility to represent gay marriage, as one of the few LGBTQ + celebrities. He asked: 'But did you feel also that - when it broke up and you were divorced – did you feel that there was in some sense you were letting down the idea of gay marriage, because we have a duty to show that our marriages are as robust and strong as any heterosexual?' Rylan said: 'There was part of me that just felt like a complete and utter failure. I felt like I'd failed personally, but I felt like I'd found publicly on behalf of - the gays! You know, I'm not, I'm not 'head gay', it's not that.' Stephen reassured: 'No, you're not, exactly. You're not a poster child for gayness.' Rylan continued: 'But you do feel like, yeah I'm going to get married, I want to get married, I can get married. 'But when it doesn't work out you don't want people to go, "you see that's why they f****** shouldn't get married".' Stephen was quick to insist: 'You can get married again if you want…', causing Rylan to hint at his divorce struggles as he quipped: 'Yeah with a prenup this time, I'm not going through that again.' Rylan previously revealed his own infidelity during his marriage with Dan caused the downfall of their relationship. After he revealed that he had been unfaithful, Dan eventually ended the relationship after the heart-wrenching confession. Following the heartbreak and the deterioration of his marriage, Rylan had suicidal thoughts and his weight dropped to just nine stone. He opened up about these challenging times in his second autobiography, TEN: The Decade That Changed My Future. In the book, he penned a candid reflection and said: 'I got in a relationship quite young and just went with it. Now I know I'm my own person. I'm not going to settle for something that's not right. In a way it's been a bit of a gift.' 'I'm happy to have sex with someone and that's that, that's not a problem. But do I want more? Of course I want more. Am I going to enjoy myself on the way? Abso-f***ing-lutely.'

Her chic floor-length ensemble featured a high neckline, long flared sleeves, and a dusky pink drape detail cinched at the waist. She added inches to her frame with pointed nude court heels and styled her brunette locks in voluminous waves, posing up a storm for the cameras. That's right! it's Nico Parker, the daughter of actress Thandiwe Newton and screenwriter Ol Parker. In addition to Nico, the showbiz couple also share a 24-year-old daughter, Ripley, and nine-year-old son, Booker. Nico shot to fame at just 14 with her Hollywood debut in Tim Burton's 2019 live-action remake of Dumbo. Since then, she has delivered a series of standout performances, from HBO's The Third Day to the hit series The Last Of Us. In 2025, she took on her biggest roles yet, starring as Astrid in the live-action remake of How To Train Your Dragon, and as Chloe, Bridget Jones's highly organised nanny, in Mad About the Boy, the long-awaited fourth instalment in the franchise. Mad About the Boy, which was released earlier this year, marked a fresh chapter for the beloved rom-com series, with Nico's character bringing new heart and humour to Bridget's chaotic life. Her portrayal of Astrid in How To Train The Dragon was equally well-received. The new movie, directed by Dean DeBlois, reimagines the 2010 animated classic with a fresh cast and breathtaking visuals. Alongside Mason Thames as Hiccup and Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick, Nico helped bring the emotional and action-packed story to life. A film synopsis reads: 'Set on the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, the story follows Hiccup (Mason Thames), the inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler). 'Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. 'Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society. 'With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (Nico) and the village's quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost) by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding. 'As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup's friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. 'Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader.' The movie is scheduled for release on June 13, 2025, and will be available in various formats, including RealD 3D, IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and D-Box. Reflecting on raising daughters in the spotlight, Thandiwe told Hollywood Life in a 2010 interview: 'I want my girls to feel empowered. That's the most important thing.' She mused about parenthood: 'It's amazing how you start again and you re-live your childhood. The universe has given me girls because I needed to live that girlhood again in a fresh way.

Queen Camilla has leading role in her favourite author's latest murder mystery

Both Queen Camilla and King Charles are featured in the new royal whodunnit, written by Peter James, whom Her Majesty has openly named as her favourite crime author Queen Camilla is to star in her favourite author's latest murder mystery - and has even helped with the plot. Her Majesty, 77, has a central role in The Hawk Is Dead: A Killer In The Palace, which sees a detective investigate a murder at Buckingham Palace. Camilla has openly named the author, Peter James, as her top crime writer and forged a friendship with him in the past 10 years. ‌ It is said Camilla is "thrilled" to have a leading role in the book, due for release in October, written some time after the Queen Consort had suggested her friend set his legendary Brighton-based detective's latest case in London. His books have been made into an ITV drama series Grace, staring John Simm as the eponymous detective superintendent. ‌ "Fortunately, no one is likely to be more thrilled to find themselves taking a leading role in their own royal whodunnit than Her Majesty," writes Daily Mail's royal editor, Rebecca English, in today's publication. King Charles also features in the book, which tells the tale of a detective exploring what they believe to be a assassination attempt at Buckingham Palace. Publishers Pan Macmillan said: "Opening with a cinematic derailment of the Royal Train, The Hawk Is Dead takes Roy Grace deep into the heart of Buckingham Palace, where he is called upon to solve a murder and what looks to be a royal assassination attempt." "Queen Camilla, a well-known book lover and reading champion through her charity The Queen's Reading Room, has always been one of the first people to receive each Grace novel and is excited to have a starring role, alongside King Charles, in Peter's latest thriller." Her Majesty has already had a sneak peakat the novel, it is understood. Peter, 76 and who has several Sunday Times No 1 bestsellers to his name, was "moved to tears" by Camilla's recent nomination of Grace as her favourite detective. Speaking in a recent interview, Peter, who was raised in East Sussex, said: "I came up with an idea, which I ran by Her Majesty and she loved it. Throughout writing, during which I've done extensive behind-the-scenes research at the Palace, I have received invaluable insights from the Royal Household, including Her Majesty." The pair have developed a firm but unlikely friendship and, in 2021, Her Majesty visited the set of Grace, the fifth series of which has just aired on ITV. A sixth series of the drama is already in production. Insiders told the Daily Mail "any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental" when asked about Peter's new book. Buckingham Palace declined to comment to the publication.
