Reese Witherspoon's March book club pick is a twisty romance for fans of The Notebook
What do Big Little Lies, Where the Crawdads Sing and Daisy Jones & The Six all have in common? They were all adapted for screen by Reese Witherspoon's production company, Hello Sunshine – and they have all been previous picks in Reese Witherspoon's book club.
While Oprah may have started the trend, a book club is the new celebrity status symbol. From Dua Lipa and Kaia Gerber to Fearne Cotton, you're spoilt for choice – but the most popular of all is Witherspoon's.
The Legally Blonde actor debuted her book club in 2017, growing a following of 2.5 million loyal subscribers of Reese's Book Club and 2.9 million on Instagram. From thrillers, romances and beach reads to historical fiction and more, there's a tome for every taste.
There's no particular formula to choosing the books – the only criterion is that a woman must be at the centre of the story.
As for March 2025, The Reese Book Club's pick of the month is Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall. A love story that reads like a thriller, it's the perfect gripping read to spark conversation. Here's everything you need to know.

EastEnders in schedule shake up as soap undergoes major change from next week
EastEnders won't be in it's usual Monday - Friday slot next week due to schedule changes on the BBC, but it's not the only major change the soap will see If you're planning to sit down for your daily dose of EastEnders next Monday (June 9), you may have to think again. The soap will be undergoing a schedule shake up next week. The BBC soap usually airs from Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm. Eager fans who can't wait until the evening have the option to watch the drama unfold from 6am on BBC iPlayer. However, next week the show will be airing on Tuesday - Friday due to the 2026 World Cup qualifier between Belgium and Wales, live from Brussels. Coverage will begin at 7:30 straight after The One Show, and will finish at 10pm just in time for the BBC News at 10. The first trip to Albert Square next week will be available to watch on iPlayer from 6am on Tuesday June 10. It's not the only huge change for the soap. Next Friday (June 13) will be executive producer Chris Clenshaw's last episode before Ben Wadey takes over. Last October, it was announced that Chris Clenshaw had made the decision to step down as Executive Producer in February 2025 once the soap has celebrated its 40th anniversary. It will be a memorable final episode for Chris, as Kat and Alfie prepare the knot once again. But will third time really be the charm for one of Walford's favourite couples? Chris returned to EastEnders taking on the role as Executive Producer in January 2022. During his time as producer, Chris created many bold and storylines that will go down in the show's history, including The Six flashforward whodunit, and the return of Cindy Beale. He also brought back favourites including Jacqueline Jossa, Shane Richie, Angela Wynter and Patsy Palmer. Speaking of his decision to leave, Chris Clenshaw said: 'As a proud EastEnders fan, it has been the honour of my life to be its custodian. It has meant everything to me, and I've given Walford my all. I made the tough decision that I would step down after the 40th anniversary many months ago – to keep EastEnders creatively refreshed as it's a show that needs to constantly evolve. After what will be three years at the helm and leading the team through its milestone celebrations, the time feels right that I hand over the keys to The Queen Vic. "Elstree holds a special place in my heart, and I know when the day comes, it'll be hard to tear myself away. My special thanks go to the sensational EastEnders cast and crew that I'm incredibly proud to have led over the past few years, and who have provided me with unwavering support. Netflix viewers have days to binge 'phenomenal' drama before new episodes drop

Yes, I know that sounds dramatic, but this isn't any old Netflix show. This is Ginny and Georgia season 3 we're talking about. If somehow, though, you've never heard of the comedy-drama, which is unlikely considering it's one of the streaming giant's most-watched shows, allow us to explain what it's about. The series follows a daughter and mother, Ginny and Georgia, as they try and settle down after years on the run. Sadly, though, Georgia's past has an unfortunate habit of catching up with her, threatening the stability of their new home. As such, it's only scored a rather middling 64% on Rotten Tomatoes, with its most excoriating critic being Alison Stine from Salon. 'Ginny & Georgia operates in its own universe, one where the rules of physics don't seem to apply,' Stine's review reads. 'Events happen fast and dramatically. Consequences, rarely at all. And in its second season, the show has a major tone problem.' But it does have its defenders, including Kristen Maldonado from Pop Culture Planet, who labelled the show 'fun' and 'enjoyable'. It's also worth noting that the show has a far more respectable audience score of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes, and the series has been a huge hit for Netflix. 52 million subscribers watched the first season inthe first 28 days after its release, while globally, people spent 381 million hours binge-watching the mother and daughter's misadventures. Taylor Jenkins Reid's new novel is like eating a bowl of broccoli — in space
I finished this novel about soaring into space while grounded on a runway, going nowhere. The delay was ironic given that I'd nearly missed the flight: too busy suggesting to the Dunkin' Donuts guy who didn't want to refill my water bottle that he should act like 'a human being'. All of which is to say that you might think that a book as trite and self-aggrandising as this one would appeal to someone like me. Perhaps I just wasn't in a good mood. Or perhaps it's not a very good book. Which is surprising. Atmosphere is the ninth novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, the BookTok-anointed empress of the thoughtful sun-lounger read. Her speciality is embedding tales of ordinary woe — neglectful parents, cheating spouses — into glamorous worlds. Her 2017 novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, the story of an Elizabeth Taylor-style star in Golden Age Hollywood, spent a year at the top of the charts in 2021, propelled by tear-streaked video endorsements from passionate, largely young and female fans. Her 2019 novel Daisy Jones & the Six, a playful fake oral history of a Fleetwood Mac-ish rock band, was turned into an Emmy-winning TV show. In total, across all formats, Reid has sold 21 million books. Time magazine claims to have double-sourced a rumour that she signed a five-book-deal for $8 million per book.
