Celtic ace Bernardo eyes Portugal progression after making history
Bernardo, 23, will break the record if he plays against Georgia this week as expected and wins his 31st cap.
And he's determined to join Cristiano Ronaldo and co in Roberto Martinez's Portugal squad, after they just clinched the Nations League trophy.
He said: "My ambition now is to win this tournament and then play for the full Portugal team.

"I wasn't aware of being the most capped player for the Under 21s until during the Finals when someone told me.
"At my first European Under 21s Championships, I was the youngest in the squad and at these Finals, I am the oldest.
"It's been great to play for the Under 21s. It's always a source of pride to represent my national team, it means I'm doing my job well.
"I was given the captain's armband in our first game against France and that was a very proud moment for me too.
"But the important thing is we go as far as we can in Slovakia."

England Under-21s missed the chance to secure their place in the knockout stage of the European Championship after being held to a goalless draw by Slovenia. Lee Carsley's side were frustrated in the first half against a Slovenia side who threatened at times themselves, but Ethan Nwaneri and Harvey Elliott spurned golden opportunities. Slovenia started to threat again, with Seslar proving a menace as he let rip with a ferocious effort from outside the box which Beadle did well to tip over the crossbar. England again came close to an opener before the break. Elliot Anderson superbly picked out the run of Elliott and he lifted his effort over goalkeeper Martin Turk only to see the ball bounce off the upright and away from danger. Another glorious chance went begging when Tino Livramento hooked the ball into the six-yard area and McAtee directed a shot on goal but Turk was in the right place to save. Slovenia almost made England pay for those missed chances as another chance fell to Seslar, but he saw a curling strike saved by Beadle. Substitute Omari Hutchinson injected some pace into England's attack and his cross found Elliott who could not direct his header on target. England were denied in stoppage time as Brooke Norton-Cuffy's pinpoint cross picked out Jack Hinshelwood who directed a powerful header on target but Turk tipped the ball behind and secured an important point.

Chelsea make £30m transfer bid for former Real Madrid defender
Chelsea have made a 35m euros (£30m) bid for former Real Madrid defender Mario Gila, according to reports in Italy. Gila, 24, spent three years in Real Madrid's reserve team before making his first-team debut for Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign. The former Spain U21 star only made one more appearance for Real Madrid, however, before being sold to Lazio in the summer of 2022. Lazio spent £5m to sign Gila from Real Madrid and the centre-back has been a mainstay in the team over the past two seasons. Gila made over 40 appearances last season as Lazio finished seventh in Serie A and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League. The Father's Day post showed the iconic footballer dressed in nothing but a pair of red shorts as he flexed his muscles alongside his son. He captioned the X post with a message in Portuguese that read: "Like Father, like son." However, it was soon noticed that his toenails were panted black, which created a huge discussion thread.
