A little rain and a lot of disappointment didn't stop the party.
A smaller — but still raucous — crowd of Knicks fans still gathered outside of Madison Square Garden after they witnessed their team getting bludgeoned by the Celtics, 127-102, at a watch party on Wednesday.

The fans could not celebrate but instead changed their chant to 'Knicks in six' with the series now headed back to MSG for Game 6 on Friday night.

One fan even slammed a 'shot' of honey in honor of Jalen Brunson, who fouled out in the fourth quarter.

Others took out their frustration by ripping Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis, LeBron James and old enemy Trae Young.

The fans will now need to bring that energy Friday night with pressure back on the Knicks to finish off the series before a potential do-or-die Game 7 in Boston.
Fan Liam Walker, a Hoboken, N.J. resident, said he believes the Knicks can close out the series at home.
'Yeah, I just think they were up 3-1 … 'Oh, Tatum's hurt, too, we got this in the bag.' And they just didn't prepare properly,' Walker said. 'You kinda could see it, like OG played terrible and then Brunson was a little too crazy. I think we'll win it at home on Friday.'

The area outside Madison Square Garden has become a festive place for Knicks fans to enjoy games throughout this postseason run, with the team hosting watch parties, though the Game 5 edition happened inside The World's Famous Arena on Wednesday night due to the inclement weather.

Knicks fans took over the area after their 121-113 win in Game 4, with several chants reverberating throughout the area, including 'Knicks in five.'

Tyrese Haliburton Recreates Iconic Reggie Miller Moment During Game 1 Comeback Against The Knicks

It was an electric scene at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday as the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers clashed for their first game of the Eastern Conference Finals. After controlling the game for three quarters, the Knicks felt good about their chances of victory before a sudden barrage of three-pointers gave the Pacers a last-minute push to tie the game. The story of the game can really be summed up in one amazing moment from Tyrese Haliburton, who made a "choking" gesture during his team's fourth-quarter comeback. View the original article to see embedded media. It was the defining moment of an amazing night for the Indiana Pacers, who rallied from down 17 (14 with 2:40 left) to win the game and steal home-court advantage. Haliburton, who played 42 minutes in the game, finished with 31 points, four rebounds, and 11 assists in the win. When he saw his game-tying shot go in down the stretch, he couldn't help but make a reference to one of Reggie Miller's most legendary taunts. Advertisement View the original article to see embedded media. Miller's "choke" was the result of an extraordinary outburst from the Pacers' star, who went off for eight points in nine seconds against the Knicks in the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals. After leading his Knicks to a critical playoff win, Miller directed his "choking" taunt at Knicks superfan Spike Lee, and the rest is history. While the Pacers would go on to win that series, they lost in the Eastern Conference Finals to Shaquille O'Neal and the Orlando Magic. For this year's Pacers team, Haliburton is hoping for a different outcome, and it seems he's already off to a hot start. With multiple comebacks throughout the postseason, the Pacers have pulled off one miracle after another, and they are like a whole different team in the clutch. Whether or not this trend can continue remains to be seen, but they certainly have enough firepower on offense to keep the Knicks on their heels. Advertisement After taking Game 1 on the road, Indiana now has full control of the series, and the pressure is on New York to win on Friday to avoid dropping their first two games at home. Regardless of a win or loss in Game 2, the Pacers can never be counted out with the comebacks they've been pulling recently, and Tyrese Haliburton is at the center of them all. As the leader and playmaker of the Pacers, he's got the whole team connected and following the same beat offensively. For the season, Haliburton averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game on 47.3% shooting, and he didn't even make the cut for the All-Star roster in the East. In the playoffs, Hali is proving his true worth by leading the Pacers to their second Conference Finals appearance as he steps up with major performances in the clutch. In just a few seasons in the NBA, Haliburton has emerged as one of the top point guards in the league, and he's cemented himself as the future of the Pacers for what he's been able to do over a relatively short span of time. What lessons can the Boston Celtics learn from the 2025 NBA Finals? What lessons can the Boston Celtics learn from the 2025 NBA Finals? The Celtics find themselves in a position they are not often in over the course of the last several years, watching the postseason unfold after an early exit in the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round at the hands of the New York Knicks. In their stead, we have the Indiana Pacers taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the finals, with the Pacers having shocked the world by beating the Thunder in Game 1 of the series. Could the Boston Celtics find a way to trade for Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo?

Could the Boston Celtics find a way to trade for Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo? Could the Boston Celtics find a way to trade for Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo? It is the biggest open secret perhaps in the league that the Greek Freak is not long for the Bucks, and will likely be traded to another ball club soon unless he makes it clear he wants to remain in Milwaukee. But with the Celtics also staring down a historic payroll and tax bill as well, it seems like a hard row to hoe to reduce the salary on Boston's roster while also landing a player making the sort of max money Giannis currently is taking home. Just how realistic are these ideas of getting Antetokounmpo to the Celtics? The folks behind the "Green With Envy" YouTube channel put together a clip taking a deep dive into the topic of a Giannis trade to Boston and what it might take. Check it out below!
