This comes a week after Tatloo's sister informed the internet about his death sentence, sparking widespread outrage among his fans on social media.
According to Asghar Jahangir, a spokesperson for Iran's judiciary, Tatloo is facing several convictions, including a 10-year prison sentence for "encouraging corruption and immorality," and a previous five-year sentence issued by Branch 9 of Tehran's First Criminal Court for "insulting sanctities."
On the contrary, the five-year sentence was overturned by Tehran's Supreme Court but was returned to a parallel court (Sixth Branch), which issued the death sentence over accusations that the controversial rapper "insulted the Prophet."
According to an Instagram post made by Iranian human rights activist and Tatloo's lawyer, Majid Naqshi, the Supreme Court approved his request to re-examine the case due to it being ruled out as "illegitimate."
The 36-year-old underground rapper resided in Istanbul, Turkey, till 2018, before Turkish authorities turned him over to Iran in December of last year.

"Israel" airstrikes Beirut's southern suburbs

Tensions flared once again between "Israel" and Hezbollah on Thursday after the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) issued an evacuation warning to residents of four neighborhoods in southern Beirut, signaling imminent airstrikes on what it described as underground facilities used for manufacturing drones. The message, posted by the IOF on X, urged civilians to leave the targeted areas immediately, claiming Hezbollah's aerial unit was operating drone production centers with backing and funding from Iran. 'Despite the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, the IDF has identified that the Hezbollah aerial unit is operating to produce thousands of UAVs, with the direction and funding of Iranian terrorists,' the statement said. The warning triggered panic among residents, causing massive traffic jams as thousands attempted to flee the densely populated districts. It marked the first evacuation alert in over a month for Beirut's southern suburbs, which suffered extensive damage during the year-long conflict that was paused by a ceasefire in November. There was no immediate response from Hezbollah regarding the accusations or the planned strikes.
