
Charlotte Tilbury Expects Her Two New Products To Become ‘Instant Viral Sensations': ‘A Product Does Not Launch Until It Is Perfect'

Right on the heels of the announcement earlier this month that Charlotte Tilbury will be the first-ever official beauty partner of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, her brand is leaning into what it is calling its 'Unreal Summer'—which includes the release of two new products.
Inspired by the cult favorite Unreal Skin Tint, the Unreal Blush Healthy Glow comes out June 18, with the Unreal Lips Healthy Glow Nectar Oil available to buy the next month on July 15.
'With every beauty innovation I create, I always put skin first, supercharging each formula—whether it is skincare or makeup—with science-backed, skin-loving ingredients to create incredible formulas that are suitable for all skin types,' Tilbury tells me via email. (She calls me 'darling'—so very signature of her—multiple times. It's a beauty writer's dream come true.)
Up first in Tilbury's Unreal Summer Collection is the launch of the brand's Unreal Blush, which is available to buy today. 'I wanted everyone to be able to mimic the way your skin blushes when you've spent the day on the beach and look fresh, radiant and healthy, so I have created a holiday glow-up in a stick,' she says, calling the blush a 'summer-glow filter effect, bottled.'

The blushes come in six shades, and 'it looks and feels like a second skin,' Tilbury says.
'I am also obsessed with the viral blonzing trend, which mimics that gorgeous, sun-blushed glow that looks like you've just spent the day at the beach,' she says, calling the product 'the lovechild of blusher and bronzer.' The Unreal Blush also leans into the glazed blush trend, and the application is simple, she teaches me: apply the product around the forehead and in a 'W' shape across the nose and cheeks and blend.
'Everyone will be asking if you've been on holiday, have spent a day at the spa or have just been on a juice cleanse,' she assures me.
The Unreal Blush, released June 18, is part of Tilbury's Unreal Summer Collection.
The Unreal Lips also come in six shades, and she tells me she worked with leading Parisian experts and mixologists to produce what she calls her 'mood boosting scent technology,' which 'is proven to enhance feelings of happiness.' (Lip products have long been known to make me happier, but now it's science-backed happiness.)
'It's a sensory dream,' she says.
The innovations don't end there, as it turns out—two of the six lip shades, Pink Watermelon and Strawberry Vanilla, adapt to the pH of each wearer's lips to 'reveal a one-of-a-kind shade that's unique to you,' Tilbury says, also telling me that she 'meticulously designed' the product's applicator to hug the contours of the lip and 'distribute the optimal amount of product.' The Unreal Lips are, in her words, 'a lip hug in a tube.'
The six Unreal Lips shades are designed to not only look good, but boost happiness.
The Unreal Lips fill in the look of fine lines and are scented, as 'I have never enjoyed the sickly sweetness of existing lip oils out there, so we tested iteration after iteration to perfect my essences so it's like bottling the nectar of each fruit so they smell super natural,' she says. The fruits available? The aforementioned Pink Watermelon and Strawberry Vanilla, plus Coconut Water, Cherry Glaze, Pure Peach and Candy Fig.

Tilbury is president, chairman, chief creative officer and founder of her eponymous brand—and when your name is on the company, it absolutely has to be done right.
'A product does not launch until it is perfect, which can sometimes take years,' Tilbury says, adding that those who shop her products 'deserve nothing but the best.'

That causes Harlan to make a mistake he can't come back from, and to turn to drug smuggling to make ends meet. That puts the Buckleys in bed with an up-and-coming drug lord, Grady (Topher Grace) and based on the trailer, that's something that surely won't end well. Watch on Netflix starting June 19 Netflix may have lots of original scripted shows and movies, but it also offers a ton of reality shows and documentaries. "America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders" combines both of those genres for a docuseries about rookie cheerleaders trying to make it onto the Dallas Cowboys cheer squad. Making the squad is difficult, and even if you make it, the demands are high and the wages are low. In season 2, just 23 out of 36 veteran Cowboys cheerleaders are returning, giving this season the largest rookie class of the past five years. Watch on Netflix starting June 18 The "Trainwreck" docuseries is an anthology series of documentaries, each investigating compelling events that often ended in disaster. In "Mayor of Mayhem," the compelling event in question is the 2010 mayoral campaign of Rob Ford, who ran for and shockingly won the Toronto election that year. But it's not just the campaign this documentary film will follow. It will also cover the subsequent scandals that plagued Ford's administration, including the accusations of substance abuse that were levied against the mayor during his time in office. Watch on Netflix starting June 17 Justin Willman first made his name as a magician-comedian back in 2018 with his Netflix original show "Magic for Humans." Now, he's back on the streaming service for his first-ever Netflix comedy special. But this won't be your typical comedy special. Yes, there will be jokes and bits about AI, screen time, and being a nerd in high school. However, there will also be magic tricks and illusions, including a bit where he smashes a woman's phone ... without mentioning he was going to do it first. Does that woman's phone survive this hour-long comedy special? You'll have to watch "Justin Willman: Magic Lover" to find out. Watch on Netflix starting June 17 "Somebody Feed Phil" is now one of Netflix's longest-running shows. It features "Everybody Loves Raymond" creator Philip Rosenthal traveling the world to discover new locations and new cuisine. Back for season 8, it doesn't look like Phil's changing up the formula, but he is going to new locations. Guatemala, Amsterdam, Tbilisi, Sydney, Adelaide, Boston, Las Vegas and San Sebastian all feature in season 8. He's also bringing some guests with him, including "Everybody Loves Raymond" stars Brad Garrett and Ray Romano and singer Donny Osmond. If you love a food travel show, "Somebody Feed Phil" season 8 is one to check out. Watch on Netflix starting June 18 Kerry Washington may have been in the news earlier this year for "Shadow Force," but her most famous show or movie to date is still probably "Scandal." This Shonda Rhimes political thriller was a massive hit on ABC, and starred Washington as crisis manager Olivia Pope. At the show's start, she's in charge of an elite crisis management firm, but she used to work for the president of the United States, Fitzgerald Grant III (Tony Goldwyn). That's a relationship that gets her into trouble more than once as the show goes on, and trust me, this show has no shortage of drama. You can stream the entire series starting this week, and it might just become your next binge-watch. Watch on Netflix starting June 17 "The Intern" stars Robert De Niro as 70-year-old retired widower Ben Whittaker. He has grown bored with retirement and decides to rejoin the rat race as a senior intern at About The Fit, a fast-fashion startup in Brooklyn. As a former executive, he's overqualified and quickly impresses people. That gets him paired with the company's CEO, Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway). Initially, she's wondering why she even needs a senior intern, but as he begins to improve her work life, he soon becomes indispensable to her. As a Nancy Meyers movie with two incredible lead actors, the bar is set pretty high with "The Intern." Whether or not it clears that bar is subject to debate, but the floor is also really high with so much talent involved in this comedy drama, so I'll be shocked if you don't at least enjoy it. Watch on Netflix starting June 22 JUNE 16 "The Last Witch Hunter" JUNE 17 "Justin Willman: Magic Lover" (Netflix comedy special) Sleight-of-hand sorcery. Mischievous mind games. Mind-blowing illusions. Justin Willman conjures up laughs in a special where comedy and magic collide. "Kaulitz & Kaulitz" season 2 (DE) (Netflix series) The show must go on! Tom and Bill Kaulitz are back to share their exciting lives, even as dark clouds gather in paradise. ‘Ginny And Georgia' Finally Dethroned In Netflix's Top 10 List By A New Show
Ginny and Georgia Outside of a brief brush with the WWE, Ginny and Georgia has remained on top of Netflix's top 10 list for a full two weeks since it released on June 5. Fans waited years for it to return, and they were not going to miss its arrival at last. But now, at long last, Ginny and Georgia has fallen down Netflix's top 10 list, dethroned by not just one but two new shows. It's now in third, and second place is America's Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, the reality series following the auditions for the famed cheerleading team and their performances and drama behind the scenes. This is season 2, which my wife has already watched, and I'm struck by how little drama there is behind the scenes, as all the girls feel like best friends, for the most part. Top 10 The new number one show on Netflix is The Waterfront. Here's the synopsis: This very much reminds me of a previous Netflix series, Bloodlines, and then sprinkling in a bit of Ozark as well. I suppose, given that most people liked those shows, Netflix is trying to find another hit in that vein, as neither are airing anymore. I am interested in the series not because of its concept but because of its cast. First, it stars Holt McCallany, Netflix royalty as one of the two stars of Mindhunter. In giving interviews about The Waterfront, he made news that it was possible that Mindhunter may return for a third season in the form of three two-hour movies, which would essentially be six episodes, but it's all down to David Fincher. In another lead role is Melissa Benoist, who was the CW's Supergirl for multiple years, and she'll always have a special place in my heart for that, even as she's about to be replaced by Milly Alcock in the DCU (star of another big Netflix show in the past month, Sirens). I also know Humberly González, as she played the lead role in a recent video game, Star Wars Outlaws. Oh, and she's in 18 episodes of Ginny and Georgia, the show she just dethroned here alongside her cast. It remains to be seen how The Waterfront will perform. A top spot debut like this is a big deal. It has a 67% critic score, but that's only with six reviews in. There isn't enough data for an audience score yet, so we will wait and see. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Deserve It All—and More
Well before the second season of America's Sweethearts premiered on Netflix this week, I knew what I wanted to say about it. In November, I'd spent a game day embedded with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as the Cowboys played the Texans—though 'day' isn't exactly right. The squad worked for more than 12 hours straight, pulling a shift that stretched from Monday morning to the early hours of Tuesday. Sure, some of that time was spent on buses to and from the Star, the Cowboys' headquarters in Frisco, Texas, and some was spent on hair and makeup. (The cheerleaders are responsible for their own professional-level glam, which demands a lot of powder and a lot of time wielding a Dyson.) But most of those hours were spent dancing: 'Thunderstuck,' their pre-kick-off routine, involves both a 50-yard sprint in under eight seconds (in cowboy boots!) and chorus line jump splits. By the end of the night, the whole team was dripping in sweat and covered in blisters, their pantyhose ripped from their high kicks. Many required trainers for various muscle ailments, or to help wrap their ankles. There were dozens of ice packs, foam rollers, and empty Gatorade bottles scattered across the locker-room floor. But there would be no rest for the pom-pom weary: They had practice the next day, and the day after that. They had all the football games, the corporate shows, the press junkets, and the Cowboys Christmas Spectacular. They had major appearances with Kacey Musgraves, at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, and at Mike Tyson's fight with Jake Paul in Las Vegas. Netflix camera crews were everywhere, as was our team from Vogue. Everyone stood to profit from their glamorous image—everyone, that is, except for the cheerleaders themselves. Their pay was about $15 an hour and $500 for each appearance. Most had to support themselves with other jobs. They did not have health insurance. Once upon a time, that made a kind of sense. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader squad as we now know it came about in the 1970s. It was advertised as a part-time gig: You had a few practices during the week and performed during the Sunday games. Half a century later, between Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, Pro Bowls, and countless more events, the DCCC are working 30 to 40 hours a week for much of the year, and the Cowboys franchise is worth $11 billion dollars—three billion more than any other team in the National Football League. Their branding as 'America's team,' complete with an unabashed commitment to a stars-and-stripes, yeehaw aesthetic, has made their image endlessly exportable and mineable. Go anywhere in the world, and people know about the Dallas Cowboys—whether they're winning or not. (In 2024, their record was 7-10.)
