Judge: Teen charged in Sterling Pizza Ranch shooting fit to stand trial
Mar. 28—MORRISON — A Rock Falls teen charged with attempted murder in connection with a Nov. 6 shooting at Sterling's Pizza Ranch has been found fit to stand trial.
Whiteside County Circuit Court Judge James Heuerman made that ruling Friday morning, allowing the case against Harrison Webb, 18, to proceed toward trial.
The court ruled in January that there was a need to determine whether Webb was fit to stand trial, with an evaluation ordered. That evaluation was completed by Dr. Jayne Braden and submitted to the court.
Webb is charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm and two counts of burglary. He stands accused of walking into the restaurant's kitchen about 7:45 p.m. Nov. 6, pulling a gun from the front pocket of his shorts, walking up behind a 17-year-old worker who was preparing pizza pans and shooting him in the neck.
If he is convicted, Webb, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, could spend anywhere from six years to life in prison.
Prosecutors have said Webb and the wounded employee, also a Rock Falls 17-year-old, had had ongoing issues with each other. The teens' dispute boiled over on social media the morning of Nov. 6 while both teens were part of a Snapchat message group. Prosecutors said Webb walked from his Rock Falls home, crossed a bridge into Sterling and continued walking to Pizza Ranch at 3900 E. Lincolnway.
People were eating in the restaurant as he walked in and headed to the kitchen, where four employees were working, Whiteside County State's Attorney Colleen Buckwalter said at a November court hearing, adding that a surveillance camera shows a shooter walked up behind the victim, saying "That's what you get," and shooting him from 18 inches away. The bullet entered the back of the victim's neck and exited through the front. The victim was taken to CGH Medical Center in Sterling, treated and released.
The shooter left the restaurant and was believed to have fled into a nearby cornfield. Webb was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, when a warrant issued in Whiteside County court that morning was served at his home.
If convicted, Webb faces six to 30 years for attempted murder and would have to serve 85% of the sentence under state law. That could be enhanced to add 25 years or up to life in prison. The aggravated battery with a firearm charge, which also is a Class X felony, carries the same potential sentence of six to 30 years with 85% to be served. The burglary charges carry sentences of three to seven years in prison.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 23, with a jury trial set to begin at 8:30 a.m. May 13 in Whiteside County Circuit Court.
Webb will remain detained in the Whiteside County Jail.

Man with no contact order charged in violation of order
Jun. 13—A Holmen, Wisconsin man with a probationary domestic abuse no contact order in Mower County, has been arrested for violating that order. Trenton Lee Rockvam, 22, was in Mower County District Court on Thursday, where he was charged with five felonies that included one for stalking, two for violating order of protection and two for violating a no contact order. According to the court complaint, Rockvam allegedly made several calls and text messages to a woman he was previously ordered to not contact on June 2. There were also allegedly attempts to access the victim's Gmail and Snapchat accounts. The contact was made between June 1 and June 2. Call logs stated that over 200 missed calls were received on June 2 from a "no caller ID" and came within quick succession throughout the night. A review of the defendant's criminal history shows prior convictions for stalking and third degree assault dating back to October of 2024 and for violating a domestic abuse — violate an order of protection in Dodge County.

Investigators seek possible victims of sex offender accused of crimes involving a child
DENVER (KDVR) — A convicted sex offender was arrested in Arapahoe County for allegedly trying to lure and sexually exploit a child, and investigators are asking the public for help finding more victims. He was taken into custody on several charges, including: Sexual Exploitation of a Child Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child Internet Luring of a Child Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material Habitual Sex Offender Against Children He also allegedly resisted and assaulted an investigator trying to arrest him. The charges stem from a six-month-long investigation involving the Crimes Against Children Unit, which found that Langhorn-Padilla 'was sexually exploiting children and in possession of materials containing child sexual abuse,' the sheriff's office said in a press release. Investigators said that Langhorn-Padilla, a convicted sex offender, tried to sexually exploit and lure a 12-year-old girl by harassing her via texts. The girl got his number from two of her friends, who Langhorn-Padilla was contacting through the app Snapchat. He allegedly urged the girl to meet with him to exchange sexual favors for vape devices and alcohol. The sheriff's office said investigators have reason to believe that there are more victims out there, and they are asking the public for help in trying to find them. Langhorn-Padilla is described as: 5 feet 9 inches 250 lbs Brown hair Brown eyes Stretched/gauged ears Distinct tattoos Additional booking photos show large tattoos of skulls on his right arm sleeve, a ram with an upside-down cross on the left fore-arm, and '666' vertically tattooed near his right ear. The sheriff's office said he was driving a 2020 black Chevy Impala with license plate EEJO88 when he tried to meet with the victim, but he is also known to drive a 2014 gray Hyundai Sonata with a temporary registration plate number 7360443. Langhorn-Padilla used the Snapchat usernames of 'noise666' and n666iser' and the phone number 720-666-1646. The sheriff's office asks anyone with information on the case or who knows someone who may have communicated with, was extorted by, or exploited by Langhorn-Padilla to contact the tip line at 720-874-8477. Snapchat used to plan deadly Catawba County party shooting, search warrants reveal
CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Investigators believe a deadly mass shooting at a house party in Catawba County was not random, and now, newly unsealed search warrants reveal how social media and cell phones played a role in planning the violence. The shooting happened on June 1, 2025, at a large house party on Walnut Acres Drive, where nearly 100 people attended. More than 80 shots were fired, killing one person and injuring at least 11 others. PREVIOUS: Ninth arrest made in Catawba County mass shooting case According to the search warrants, suspects used Snapchat to talk about the attack both before and after it happened. One of the suspects, Garon Killian, allegedly told others ahead of time that he planned to 'air it out,' a phrase witnesses said meant he intended to 'open fire.' Investigators now believe this shooting was tied to a criminal gang network. During interviews with authorities, Killian said he, along with Toland Huff Jr., Ke'Andre Mack, Zachary Bates, and Izaiah Mitchell, were all involved in gang activity. Gang activity suspected in Catawba County mass shooting as four suspects face judge He reportedly admitted they often used their phones to talk about illegal operations, and he told agents he used his phone to discuss the shooting before and after it happened. The warrants also detail a meeting that happened at a Waffle House on May 30, just days before the shooting. FBI sources said Killian and Huff met with others there and discussed the upcoming party, warning that if Raekwon Craig, who they called 'Leek,' hosted the event, 'they better watch out.' She said Killian mentioned the party and told them to 'scope it out.'
