Giants re-sign WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey, sign CB T.J. Moore
The Giants have made a few roster moves on Monday.
New York announced the club has re-signed receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey and signed cornerback T.J. Moore.
Moore attended the Giants' rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. He went undrafted out of Mercer after he was the runner-up for the Buck Buchanan Award, given to the national defensive player of the year at the FCS level.
The Giants had released Humphrey late last week.
As corresponding moves, New York waived defensive backs Tommy McCormick and RJ Delancy.

Aaron Judge heard what Boston Red Sox rookie Hunter Dobbins had to say about his New York Yankees. Instead of talking back, he let his bat do the talking on Sunday night. Before his Sunday start, Dobbins told the Boston Herald that he would rather retire than sign with the Yankees. Judge said before the game that he was "a little surprised" Dobbins, a lifelong Red Sox fan thanks to his die-hard father, made that comment. Judge wasted no time getting back at Dobbins on the field, smashing a 97 mph fastball 436 feet to right-center field for a two-run home run. The ball exited Judge's bat at 108.6 mph, and everyone in the Yankee Stadium crowd knew the tension that was already there with Dobbins' comments making national headlines. "I've only heard Ken Griffey say that, so I was a little surprised," Judge said of Dobbins' comments, via ESPN. He was referencing the Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., who said he wouldn't sign with the Yankees during his career after seeing how the franchise treated his father, Ken Griffey Sr., while he played for him. In the end, though, Dobbins and the Red Sox got the last laugh. Despite giving up those two runs in the first inning, Dobbins was solid against the Yankees lineup after that. He allowed one more earned run and four hits total over his five innings of work. Boston's offense also unloaded midway through the rivalry game, with Kristian Campbell hitting a two-run homer in the top of the fifth inning to get them on the board. Then, in the top of the sixth inning, a five-spot was put on the home team thanks in part to Carlos Narvàez's three-run homer. The Red Sox would add two runs each in the top of the eighth and ninth innings to ultimately beat their AL East rival 11-7, winning their first series of the year two games to one. Judge went yard once more in the bottom of the ninth inning to cut the Red Sox's lead to four, going to the bullpen in right-center to finish his night 3-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBI. Despite the loss over the weekend, the Yankees are still leading the division at 39-25. However, the Red Sox perhaps found some new life beating one of the best teams in baseball in this series. They are now 32-35 going into the week, where they will see New York once again with a weekend grudge match at Fenway Park in Boston. Several World Cup host cities in the U.S. monitoring political situation amid President Trump's immigration crackdown
The U.S. host cities for the FIFA World Cup in 2026 admitted on Monday they were 'monitoring closely' the current political situation in the United States amid rising tensions over President Trump's crackdown on immigration — but insisted visitors will be made welcome at the tournament. FIFA's President Gianni Infantino claimed earlier this year that 'America will welcome the world' for next year's tournament, which will be shared across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Infantino said: 'America will welcome the world. Everyone who wants to come here to enjoy, to have fun and to celebrate the game will be able to do that.' Advertisement Infantino has also claimed that FIFA's tournaments in the U.S., first the Club World Cup in 2025 and then the World Cup next year, will generate almost $50 billion in economic output for the U.S. Foreign travellers are integral to hitting these targets for both FIFA and the host cities. However, this past weekend has seen protests develop against the government, and clashes between protestors and the authorities. During an event in New York City to mark a year out from the 2026 tournament, host city officials were forced to address concerns that the current political environment may dissuade visitors from travelling to the United States. California has been a hotspot for the developments, with President Trump sending in the National Guard to protect immigration agents and the state of California now say they will file a lawsuit against the Trump administration. The administration last week imposed wide-ranging travel bans against over a dozen countries. Speaking in New York City, the Philadelphia host city executive Meg Kane said: 'For us as host cities, we recognize that our charge as host cities is to be prepared to welcome whomever is in our city and to make them feel welcome when they are there. There are certainly things that are happening at the national level, the international level. There are going to be geo-political issues that we don't even know right now that are going to affect the tournament next year. 'So we recognize that we're planning within uncertainty. One of the things that I think we all recognize is that we have to be really good at operating within that uncertainty. For each of our cities, we want to be prepared to make any person that makes the decision to come to the United States for this World Cup, feel that they are welcome. 'We do not play a role necessarily in what is happening in terms of the decisions that are made. What we can say is that the current administration — while there are certain situations that we are watching, that we are certainly monitoring closely — has been extremely supportive of the World Cup.' Advertisement 'It has to be recognized both now in the second term under President Trump — but also in the first term when President Trump was in power when the letters of intent were signed – how important FIFA World Cup is to elevating the nation and how important it is to sporting side. There is that understanding. I think we feel that that has been communicated to us at the federal level. We allow for FIFA to continue having constructive conversations with the administration around visas, around workforce, around tourism, and that we will be prepared for whatever comes our way.' The particular Bills teammate? Pro Bowl and former first round cornerback Tre'Davious White. Unprompted, White had this to say on the now-former Browns and New York Jets wideout looking for a fresh start on his third team: 'He's gonna be a big-time player for us. Route running is amazing, getting in and out, his breaks is amazing.' Moore finished his two-year stint with the Browns with just 1,178 yards receiving and three touchdowns, catching the football from a wide multitude of quarterbacks in that span under some lackluster offenses. Both seasons, however, were career-highs for Moore after coming over from the Jets in a trade before the 2023 NFL draft. Now playing with the first stable quarterback of his entire career, is Moore destined for a breakout season in Buffalo? Besides, Moore did flash in the brown and orange with quarterback Joe Flacco providing the most consistent quarterback play he has seen in his NFL career. It would certainly be a tough pill to swallow in Cleveland if he produces at a high level while catching passes from reigning MVP Josh Allen.
