
PK exhorts people to oust Nitish Kumar government from power
Patna, June 02 (UNI) Founder of " Jan Suraaj " Prashant Kishor on Monday exhorted the people to oust the Nitish Kumar government from power in the next Bihar assembly elections to be held in October-November this year.
Kishor popularly known as PK while addressing a public meeting during his " Badlao Yatra " in East Champaran district of Bihar, said that it was high time for people of Bihar to oust the Nitish Kumar government from power in the next state assembly elections to be held in October-November this year. The Nitish Kumar government had failed in creating employment opportunities for youths of Bihar, as no factory was established in the state during the last twenty years, he added.
" People should not extend their support to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar even after an appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to them ", PK said, adding that Modi was not at all interested in the development of Bihar. Factories were being established in Gujarat while youths of Bihar were going there to work as labourers, as there were no job opportunities for them in their home state, he further added.
" Jan Suraaj is a good option for people of Bihar as the party is prepared to provide a strong political alternative in the next state assembly elections ", Jan Suraaj leader said, adding that his party was prepared to serve people of Bihar. Those who had ruled Bihar in the last 35 years were not in a position to fulfill the expectations of the people, he further added.

Assam police ban procession, rallies in Guwahati city
Guwahati, June 7 (UNI) There would be no more rallies, marathon or walkathon in Assam capital town Guwahati. The city police commissionerate through an order has prohibited holding and organizing rallies and procession in Guwahati in order to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) Guwahati Imdad Ali in an order issued stated: "To ensure smooth traffic flow in Guwahati, it is essential to manage road usage efficiently. Processions/ rallies often leads to significant traffic congestion, affecting the free movement of vehicles and causing inconvenience to commuters and other citizens." Such events, Ali made it clear, create challenges for citizens and lead to crowding and congestion. They may also delay emergency services, thereby impacting public safety." "The order said to minimise inconvenience and prevent anticipated traffic congestion all types of procession, rally, run, marathon and walkathon within Guwahati city shall be restricted," said the order. "The order has been issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Samhita, 2023 and comes into affect immediately," he said, adding that violation of this order shall be punishable under Section 223 of BNS. Center group of forces destroyed over 455 Ukrainian servicemen: Russian Defence Ministry
Moscow, June 7 (UNI) The Russian Defence Ministry's Center group of forces continued to advance deep into the enemy's defences, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 455 servicemen in its area of responsibility, the group's spokesman, Alexander Savchuk, said. "The Center group of forces continues to carry out combat missions in the area of the special military operation. The group's units continued to advance deep into the enemy's defences, inflicted losses on units of three mechanized, motorized infantry, jaeger, two airborne assault brigades, two brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' marines and a brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine," Savchuk said. He said the defeat was inflicted in the areas of Koptevo, Dimitrov, Krasnoarmeisk, Sergeyevka, Udachny and Alekseyevka. "The enemy's losses were over 455 servicemen, eight combat armored vehicles, including a French-made VAB armored personnel carrier, seven pickups and three field artillery guns," Savchuk said.
