Cary man charged with fraudulent sale of Mustang
A Cary man who previously lived in Lee County was charged in the fraudulent sale of a 2017 Ford Mustang.
Yousuf Hasona Elzeaitry, 20, was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor fraud in disposal of a mortgage property.
According to an arrest warrant, Elzeaitry sold the Ford Mustang to John Holly for $5,500 without disclosing that he had a lien on it for $18,978.
Elzeaitry was initially arrested Sept. 18, 2024, and posted a $10,000 bond that day by paying $1,000, but he failed to appear in court on May 7 and was re-arrested on May 20, according to eCourts. He is now being held on a $20,000 bond.
Elzeaitry previously lived at 519 David Hill Road in northern Lee County and currently lists an address at 1303 Crossroads Manor Ct. in Cary, according to eCourts.

'This should not have happened,' the president told 27-year-old Savannah by phone. 'They were given a pretty harsh treatment based on what I'm hearing.' 'Your parents are going to be free and clean,' he said. 'I don't know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life.' The glamorous couple's daughter has been championing their case in conservative circles since their conviction, going so far as to speak at the Republican National Convention in 2024 to proclaim that they'd been 'persecuted by rogue prosecutors' for their conservative values. Todd and Julie – who celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary days ago on May 25 – haven't seen or spoken to each other since they reported for prison in 2023, Savannah said. But once the family is settled back home, Savannah told reporters they're ready to jump back into television and have a Lifetime show waiting for them 'that will document all of these things.' 3 accused of stealing cherries from California farms, selling them at fruit stands
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY – Three people were arrested for allegedly stealing cherries and selling them at fruit stands across California, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said on Sunday. Deputies responded to an agricultural area near Waterloo and Fairfield, where they say they found three people picking and stealing cherries. The suspects had over $2,000 worth of stolen cherries and caused about $2,000 worth of crop damage, the sheriff's office said. During the investigation, deputies said the suspects were tied to a string of similar thefts across multiple counties and were allegedly selling the cherries at fruit stands. Deputies said they seized thousands of dollars in cash. The suspects were booked on felony charges that include theft, conspiracy and agricultural crimes. "This wasn't just a petty pick-it was a well-organized produce plunder," the sheriff's office said.

SBI investigating death of 45-year-old inmate at Wake County Detention Center
State authorities are investigating after an inmate died at the Wake County Detention Center on Saturday. The Wake County Sheriff's office confirmed that Carlos Roberts, a 45-year old inmate at the detention center, died while in custody. According to a news release, medical staff on-site attempted life-saving measures and emergency services were called. The sheriff's office has referred the case to the State Bureau of Investigation, which is standard protocol for inmate deaths. Any findings would be reported to the Wake County District Attorney. The sheriff's office said it would also conduct its own internal investigation.
