'We thought we could channel our grief over Callum's disappearance into something positive'

Callum Clement, 27, went missing more than a year ago and there isn't a day that goes by that his loved ones miss him more than words can say. On Sunday, April 13, Callum's brothers and cousins ran the ABP Newport Half Marathon to raise money for Men's Minds Matter, a mental health and suicide prevention charity that has become a symbol of the family's love and fight for answers. "It was emotional doing it, but so glad that we did it," said Conor Clement, Callum's brother. "We hope we did my brother proud."
Conor, alongside his youngest brother Llywelyn and cousins Rhian, Jai and Garyn, completed the 13.1-mile race as part of a heartfelt tribute to Callum, who was last seen in the early hours of March 28, 2024.

Despite widespread searches and public appeals, Callum has not yet been recovered and there have been no new leads. The Clement family continues to live in limbo — grieving, hoping, and searching for Callum - a man known for his "cheeky and cheesy grin".

"We thought we could channel our grief over Callum's disappearance into something positive," Conor explained. "Like running a half marathon in Newport and raising money for a charity in support of our brother."
The charity's focus on men's mental health and suicide prevention deeply resonates with the family as they continue to navigate the trauma of not knowing where Callum is.

Their hope is that, by raising funds and awareness, they can not only honour Callum but also help other families going through similar pain. The page is still open to donate, here.
Callum, who is described as having ginger hair, blue eyes, and a medium build, was last seen at around 4:35am near Dolphin Street in Newport. CCTV showed him walking toward George Street Bridge shortly afterward. Despite an intense search by police, volunteers, and family, he has not been found.

Gwent Police are still appealing to the public for any information. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the area of George Street Bridge, Wharf Road, or Cardiff Road between 4:30am and 6am on March 28, 2024.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Major Incident Public Portal, call 101, or message the police on social media, quoting log reference 2400104022. Anonymous tips can also be submitted via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
For the Clement family, the run was more than just a tribute — it was an act of love, of resilience, and of hope. They want the world to keep Callum in mind, and to never stop searching.
