had the opportunity to meet the legendary, and it didn't go exactly as one might expect.
The unplanned meetup happened while Cera was promoting his new film, The Phoenician Scheme. After an interview, he was told by a photographer that Chan was also in the building to promote his new film, The Karate Kid: Legends, and offered to take Cera to meet him.
It turns out that Chan had no idea who Cera was, though, making it a pretty awkward meeting. Just minutes after meeting Chan, Cera recalled the experience in his interview with NME.

"She asked if I knew Jackie Chan, which I don't, so she said 'come meet him'. That was that," Cera shared.
"When I met him, though, he was like, 'Who is this person, what's going on?'" Cera explained. "We took a picture, but I think he thought I was a competition winner."
Cera continued to describe his meeting with the martial arts legend: "He was like, 'OK let's do a picture real quick. Come on.' Not rudely. But I felt like I was invading his little personal time with his team before he goes on the radio. So I was like, 'What am I doing here?' But everyone was very sweet and I got to meet Jackie."
It seems surprising that Chan wouldn't know who Cera is, considering he has over 100 acting credits, including playing Allen in the blockbuster Barbie and a role on the long-running hit series Arrested Development.

"I feel like I'll be very held on an evening where, as an expectant mother, you can feel a little bit exposed. I think that every time you step onto a red carpet, there's a really unique opportunity to express your authentic self, your individuality, your creativity, and celebrate where you are at in that moment. One wrote, "Ariana DeBose getting more screen time as the Bullet than Anthony Ramos is dastardly. Levels of pettiness from the Hamilton team perhaps never before seen on TV." Another lamented, "Anthony Ramos actually showing up for the Hamilton performance just to be constantly cut out of frame and the only man with a main role without a solo… omg."
