Aiden Markram scored an unbeaten century for South Africa on Friday (June 13) to boost their hopes of getting the better of Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final. In the match taking place at Lord's, Markram opened the innings for South Africa in the 2nd innings and finished the day's play at 102 runs. During his stay at the crease so far, Markram has faced 159 balls and hammered 11 fours. He has added 143 runs from 232 balls for the third wicket with South African captain Temba Bavuma, who is batting on 65 runs from 121 balls.
After Markram completed his century by hitting Josh Hazlewood for a four on the fifth ball of the 55th over of South Africa's inning, a seven-year-old of Virat Kohli went viral on the internet.
In his tweet from March 24, 2018, Kohli praised Markram by posting, 'Aiden Markram is a delight to watch."

Markram, who scored a six-ball duck for the Proteas in the first innings, batted sensibly on Friday and added 61 runs for the second wicket with Wiaan Mulder (27 runs from 50 balls) after Mitchell Starc removed Ryan Rickelton for 6 runs on the first ball of the third over. Markram, who led South Africa to the T20 World Cup final last year, will look to maintain his good show with the bat on Saturday as well and help his team score the remaining 69 runs as well to secure a historic win over Australia at the Home of Cricket.
