Sean ‘Diddy' Combs heads to trial in weeks with feds pushing to introduce past alleged sexual assaults

Yahoo08-04-2025

Prosecutors in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking case want to introduce a slew of evidence of his alleged past sexual assaults — a move Combs said is an unfair bid to put on a 'horror show' for jurors at his upcoming trial.
Southern District of New York feds revealed Monday that they plan to include testimony about 'sexual abuse of other victims' at Combs' trial on charges of forcing lovers into drug-fueled, days-long sex marathons dubbed 'Freak-Offs,' and running Bad Boy Records as a criminal enterprise, court filings showed.
Jurors should get to hear the new evidence to combat Combs' claim that the accusers slated to testify against him consented to their encounters, prosecutors argued. His trial is set to begin May 5.
The new proposed testimony 'powerfully establishes that the defendant made no mistake when he coerced other victims into unwanted sex,' prosecutors wrote in court papers. 'It proves that the defendant intended to take the sexual gratification he wanted, regardless of consent.'
The feds did not disclose any specifics about the prior alleged sexual assaults in the heavily redacted court papers. But a separate legal filing from Combs' attorneys said that several of the allegations mirror the shocking allegations lodged against the jailed hip-hop impresario in civil lawsuits.
Combs, 55, has been accused in the suits of drugging and raping both men and women over a decades-long period, including an up-and-coming musician in Los Angeles and a 16-year-old New York City babysitter. He has denied wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty in his criminal case.
Lawyers for the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper urged a Manhattan judge Monday to block the feds from calling the new witnesses, arguing that letting them testify would prejudice the jury against him.
'The government should not be permitted to pollute the trial with decades of dirt and invite a conviction based on propensity evidence with no proper purpose by painting Mr. Combs as a bad guy who must have committed the charged crimes,' they wrote.
Combs' lawyers added that the allegations, which the feds disclosed to them in a March 7 letter, amount to a 'horror show the government seeks to put on for the jury.'
'These are entirely new, untested, uncorroborated, and uninvestigated allegations,' the filing read. 'All but one of the alleged incidents happened over twenty years ago, with the oldest dating to the 1980s. Some of the allegations are demonstrably false but would nonetheless require an enormous amount of trial time to disprove.'
Combs' camp argued that new accusations should be barred from his trial because they are far 'worse' than the allegations of coerced sex and violent assaults that Combs is already charged with.
But the feds fired back, saying the witnesses already slated to take the stand will give 'graphic testimony' about 'years' worth of beatings, drug-fueled coercive sex marathons, and multiple rapes.'
Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura is expected to testify against him, along with three other alleged victims who have asked to use pseudonyms when they take the stand.

Diddy told Cassie's friend 'I'm the devil and I could kill you,' she testifies

Diddy told Cassie's friend 'I'm the devil and I could kill you,' she testifies Show Caption Hide Caption Security guard says Sean Combs offered cash for hotel video Eddy Garcia testified Sean Combs paid $100K for hotel footage showing him kick, hit and drag Cassie Ventura Fine, according to court testimony. Among the disturbing allegations emerging from Sean "Diddy" Combs' ongoing criminal trial is a statement the hip-hop mogul supposedly said to one of Cassie Ventura Fine's friends years ago. Bryana "Bana" Bongolan testified June 4 that she was doing an impromptu beach photoshoot with Ventura Fine and a photographer friend one day when Combs went up to her and issued a threat. "He came really close to my face and said, 'I'm the devil and I could kill you,'" she told the court. She admitted she was likely high on cocaine at the time. Regardless, she "was terrified" and unsure why Combs said that to her. Bongolan's remarks came on the 20th day of Combs' trial, which kicked off with jury selection on May 5. During her time on the stand, which will continue into a second day of cross-examination, Bongolan also detailed a 2016 incident in which Combs allegedly held her up on Ventura Fine's 17th-floor balcony and balanced her on the railing, making her think that she might fall. The event was first described in Ventura Fine's 2023 lawsuit, and Bongolan filed her own suit seeking $10 million in damages from Combs a year later. Who is Bryana 'Bana' Bongolan? Bongolan told the court she'd first met Ventura Fine in the mid-2010s while working at a streetwear company called Diamond Supply Company, where the latter had been tapped to design a clothing line. She didn't meet Combs until about a year into their friendship, Bongolan said, but she knew she "wasn't fond of what I was seeing" in his relationship with Ventura Fine. She didn't really want to meet him, she testified. Bongolan also said that during a FaceTime before "The Perfect Match" premiere, she witnessed the black eye Ventura Fine allegedly suffered from Combs assaulting her in the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in May 2016. "I was pretty quiet. I remember saying, 'I'm sorry.' She was also pretty quiet," Bongolan testified. Federal prosecutors claim Combs led a "criminal enterprise" that operated on sex trafficking, kidnapping, drug offenses and forced labor, among other crimes. Combs leveraged his wealth and celebrity status to "fulfill his sexual desires" in a "recurrent and widely known" pattern of abuse, investigators allege. He faces two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and one count of racketeering. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. 50 Cent trolls Sean 'Diddy' Combs over President Trump comments

The 49-year-old rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has a rivalry with 55-year-old Combs that can be traced back to 2006. Jackson has been ruthlessly mocking Combs following his 2024 arrest for sex trafficking crimes - which the I'll Be Missing You singer is now facing in court and has pleaded not guilty to. There had been speculation that President Trump could be petitioned to pardon Combs amid his trial, however Jackson has thrown a wrench in such speculation by releasing videos of comments that the mogul has made about the politician in the past.

Shocking photos show Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' NYC hotel room stocked with baby oil, pink ketamine and $9K in cash on day of arrest

Sean 'Diddy' Combs had bottles of baby oil, pink ketamine and $9,000 in cash when he was arrested in a New York City hotel in September 2024. According to photos taken at the Park Hyatt Hotel by Homeland Security Agent Yasin Binda, authorities found big and mini sized bottles of Johnson & Johnson baby oil, bottles of Astroglide lubricant, a black fanny pack with thousands of dollars in cash and two clear plastic Ziploc bags with a pink powdery material inside in the 'Act Bad' rapper's room. One of the baggies tested positive for ketamine while the other contained MDMA and ketamine. Authorities also recovered a prescription bottle of clonazepam that was made out to Frank Black — an alias that he used, according to Combs' ex Casanda 'Cassie' Ventura's testimony. Another prescription bottle that was photographed in Combs' hotel room had the name of the recipient scratched off. Homeland Security also took photos of the hotel room lamp, which Binda told jurors last week that a 'lighting device' was used to create 'mood lighting' in the living room. Combs, 55, was arrested on Sept. 16, 2024, after he was indicted by a grand jury. The dad of seven was then hit with three charges: racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs has pleaded not guilty and denied all culpability. The 'I'll Be Missing You' emcee's sex trafficking trial kicked off earlier this month with several people testifying about his sex- and drug-filled 'Freak-Off' parties and the physical abuse his ex Ventura, 38, endured. The 'Me & U' singer, who dated Combs on and off from 2008 to 2018, testified last week that one 'Freak-Off' lasted as long as four days and that she would suffer painful UTIs and sores in her mouth due to the back-to-back sex sessions. Ventura's former BFF Kerry Morgan and singer Dawn Richard testified Monday that they witnessed Combs physically attack the model on several occasions.
