Hi Dubai12-05-2025

The 21st Emirates Critical Care Conference opened Friday at Dubai's InterContinental Festival City Hotel, bringing together over 2,000 healthcare professionals from 45 countries in one of the world's largest gatherings dedicated to intensive and critical care medicine.
Held in parallel with several key events — including the 2nd World Summit of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care and the 20th World Conference of Critical Care Nurses — the three-day conference features 275 expert speakers and 381 lectures across 77 scientific sessions.
Conference Chairman Prof. Dr. Hussein Al Rahma highlighted the rapid growth of the event, which began in 2004 with just 300 participants. Today, it stands as the leading critical care conference in the Middle East and North Africa and ranks third globally. He noted its increasing international reach, with 60% of participating associations coming from abroad and plans to raise that to over 90% by 2028.
The conference aims to foster collaboration among global leaders in critical care, with discussions covering a wide range of topics including sepsis, mechanical ventilation, fluid management, ARDS, and anaesthesia. A total of 131 scientific research papers will be presented by doctors and residents, contributing to the exchange of advanced clinical practices and research findings.
Participants will also benefit from 22.5 CME hours accredited by the Dubai Health Authority, while an accompanying exhibition features 34 companies showcasing the latest innovations in critical care technology.
Three memoranda of understanding were signed with international federations, reinforcing global partnerships and Dubai's growing role as a medical innovation hub.
