Snoop Dogg says he hopes to open burger van at Celtic Park

Snoop Dogg has already published a cookbook and claims to have spoken to chef Gordon Ramsay about a possible venture in Glasgow together – but he has now revealed he wants to set up a fast-food van at Celtic's stadium in the city's east end.
He has described Celtic supporters as 'special' and the best fans in European football, and said he identifies strongly with the club's mascot Hoopy the Hound – describing it in a previous interview as a 'match made in heaven'.
The keen sports fan worked as a correspondent for NBC at the Paris Olympics last year, has launched two youth football leagues, and has been a vocal advocate for pay equality for female athletes.

He told the Sunday Mail that Celtic fans would support the burger van and that it would become a foodie 'Paradise' – the nickname give to Celtic Park.
He said: 'I would love to bring a pop-up burger (van) to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good.
'It's got to be Celtic Park, man. The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation. The ground beef has got to be mixed with some secret spices, then add a good quality cheese and some maple-cured bacon.
'The Celtic fans are gonna love it, and to make sure they are just right, Snoop is going to be serving them himself.'
But he said he would not be taking his culinary ventures to Celtic's Old Firm rivals at Ibrox.
Snoop told the Sunday Mail: 'Am I going to bring my burgers to Rangers as well? Nah, I think we will give that a miss.'

Riley Gaines unearths old tweet from 'truly sick bully' Simone Biles that 'undermines nonsensical' trans feud

Riley Gaines continued to wage war with Simone Biles over transgender athletes, two days after the gymnast first launched her scathing attack on the conservative activist. The USA Olympic hero, 28, hit out at Gaines Friday night when she compared her to a man after the former swimmer criticized a Minnesota high school softball team for competing with a trans player. The stinging online attack triggered a bitter social media feud between the two with Gaines issuing a series of rebukes. And now, the former collegiate swimmer has dug deep into the archives for her latest brutal retort. Gaines, 25, trawled through eight years' worth of Biles' social media presence to unearth a 2017 post that she claims undermines the USA Olympic hero's current stance on the gender row. 'ahhhh good thing guys don't compete against girls or he'd take all the gold medals !!' the old post from Biles read. Gaines reshared the tweet and responded: 'Oop don't you hate it when your past self completely undermines your current nonsensical argument? Gained unearthed one of the USA Olympic hero's social media posts from 2017 The activist claimed that the gymnast's eight-year-old tweet undermines her current stance 'How has 2025 Simone reconciled with the fact 2017 Simone was a 'truly sick bully' by her own standard?' Gaines has forged a career as a political commentator for OutKick and Fox following her time as a swimmer, where she competed against trans athlete Lia Thomas. Her campaigning has won praise from Donald Trump, who welcomed her to the White House before signing the 'Keeping Men out of Women's Sports' executive order in February. On Friday, Gaines retweeted a picture of Minnesota team Champlin Park celebrating the state high school title that they won with transgender pitcher Marissa Rothenberger on the team. 'Comments off lol,' Gaines wrote in response to the post. 'To be expected when your star player is a boy.' It sparked a blistering response from Biles, 28, who first criticized Gaines' view and then compared her appearance to a man. Biles wrote: 'You're truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. 'You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! 'But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!' She then tweeted at Gaines again, saying: 'Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.' Biles attacked Gaines on X on Friday night after her latest remarks on trans athletes Biles, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, tore into Gaines on social media for her trans stance Gaines replied: 'This is actually so disappointing. It's not my job or the job of any woman to figure out how to include men in our spaces. You can uplift men stealing championships in women's sports with YOUR platform. Men don't belong in women's sports and I say that with my full chest.' She continued: 'My take is the least controversial take on the planet. Simone Biles being a male-apologist at the expense of young girls' dreams? Didn't have that on my bingo card. Maybe she could compete in pommel horse and rings in 2028.' Gaines then addressed Biles mocking her appearance, saying: 'And the subtle hint at "body-shaming" ???? Plzzzz I'm 5'5".' Gaines continued to hit back by referencing the horrific abuse Biles and other gymnasts suffered at the hands of pedophile doctor Larry Nassar. 'All the horrific sexual abuse @Simmone_Biles witnessed and spoke out against caused by one man, yet believes women should be forced to strip naked in front of men to validate the man's feelings,' the former collegiate swimmer posted on X following the gymnastics legend's attack. 'You know how many gold medals you'd have if your "inclusive" dream came true? Zero.' Gaines later doubled down, sharing a clip of Biles testifying before Senate about the abuse suffered at the hands of the former team doctor. Alongside it, she posted a screengrab of Biles' tweet. 'Simone Biles when she had to endure a predatory man Vs Simone Biles when other girls have to endure predatory men,' she wrote. Nassar was a leading doctor at Michigan State and with USA Gymnastics, but used his position within those organizations to sexually abuse young women under the guise of treatment at the now-closed Karolyi Ranch National Team Training Center in Huntsville, Texas. The former swimmer later shared a clip of Biles' testimony to Senate on the abuse He was sentenced in federal court in 2017 to 60 years in prison on charges of possessing child sex abuse material. The following year, Nassar was sentenced to up to 175 years and up to 125 years, respectively, in two separate Michigan courts for molesting female gymnasts under his care. Biles publicly broke her silence in January 2018, revealing in a powerful tweet that she was one of Nassar's victims. In 2019, Biles revealed that the trauma of the assaults had left her struggling with suicidal thoughts. The gymnast has offered no further comment other than to retweet her original post calling Gaines 'sick'. The issue of trans athletes in sports has been a bigger talking point in the US this week with the Minnesota high school team reaching the state championships. Rothenberger is biologically male. At nine, Rothenberger's mother applied in district court to alter her child's birth certificate after their ninth birthday, with the petition being approved, per Reduxx. Rothenberger was issued a new birth certificate showing to be born female, switching their name from 'Charlie Dean' to Marissa.

Arsenal told they must cough up £84m to sign attacking target

Juventus are determined to fend off Arsenal's interest in Kenan Yildiz, unless the Gunners are prepared to pay in excess of €100million (£84m) for the forward this summer. Yildiz further established himself as one of the most promising attacking talents in Italian football with a return of nine goals and eight assists in all competitions for Juve last season. But there has been mounting speculation that Yildiz could be on his way out of the Allianz Stadium, with the 20-year-old attracting the attentions of a host of top European teams. According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Arsenal have shown the most concrete interest of those potential suitors and sent scouts to watch over Yildiz's performances several times in recent months. The report claims Yildiz finds himself at the top of Arsenal's wishlist, alongside Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams, with the club's new sporting director, Andrea Berta, keen to add greater firepower to Mikel Arteta's attack. Arsenal are also working on a deal for renowned talent spotter, Matteo Tognozzi, who helped facilitate Yildiz's move to Juve in 2022 – and it's thought his presence in north London could be key in capturing the Turkey international. However, Juve are said to be determined to shut down Arsenal's advances and would only entertain offers in excess of €100million (£84m) for their sought-after No.10. The Serie A giants 'do not want to be caught unprepared' and the club's general manager, Damien Comolli, plans to enter into contract talks with Yidiz's entourage in due course. Yildiz's current deal in Turin runs through to the summer of 2029. Speaking to DAZN last month, Yildiz said he and the rest of Juventus' squad were enjoying their time under new manager Igor Tudor. 'He gave us energy, it was important for us,' Yildiz said of the Croatian, who replaced Thiago Motta in the dugout back in March. 'Since he arrived, we've been happy, we've been working hard. 'I'm happy with this season, but I want to improve in everything. I'm always looking ahead. 'The No.10 shirt doesn't add any pressure. I play as usual and I'm happy to be wearing it.' Mikel Arteta has made no secret of his desire to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer and last month told fans to expect a 'big' transfer window. 'It's going to be a big one and we are very excited about it,' the Arsenal head coach told reporters. 'When you are going to go again, we want to increase the depth of the squad and the quality and the skills that we need to go to the next step. 'Every summer is big because it is an opportunity – and especially because of the number of players we have in the squad right now, that is necessary. 'But it's a big summer for many things because first of all we have to maintain the good foundations that we have and then obviously how can we improve and evolve the team.' Neil Lennon in James Forrest quip after incredible career

The Pars boss watched on as the most decorated Hoops player of all time struck against St Mirren on the final day of the league season to ensure he had scored in each of the last 16 seasons. Lennon gave Forrest his debut at the age of 18 and would go on to rely heavily upon him across two spells as manager. The 33-year-old now has 26 winners' medals - 13 Scottish Premiership titles, eight Scottish Cups and five Scottish League Cups and that scoring record just ensure his name was etched further into club folklore. Lennon has huge admiration for him and has been so proud to see what he has gone on to achieve. He even joked he might be tempted to try and get him to drop down a division. He said: "It's wonderful. I'm so proud of him. "You couldn't write a better story when he got the last-minute goal against St Mirren. What a player. He was like that when he was 18. He's so humble. He's never changed. He shies away from all the spotlight and just gets on with his football. "He's one of the most exciting players Celtic have had for forever, really. Jamesy would drive at you from the left, he'd drive at you from the right. He's a great finisher. He had his ups and downs with injuries, but if you talk to every player or every manager who's worked with him, he's just been a joy to work with. "I think James respects what I did for him in his career. I managed him twice, and he always delivered. I loved him. I loved watching him play because he was different. He wanted to take people on. That was his remit when he was younger. I said I want you to run at people, and he was brilliant at it. "He was a really good finisher as well. I'm delighted for him. He's had a mega career. It is incredible that he is Celtic's most decorated player. You wouldn't he just shrugs his shoulders and wants to get the next one! "The consistency he has had and the talent. He's not lost that change of pace either. He can do a number on you from a standing position. He still has that wee electric burst to get away from people. "His finishing has always been top-class with both feet. You could play him anywhere along that front three, or even now, as he's getting older, you could play him as a 10. I'll maybe try and get him here. I'll have a chat!"
