Islamic Arts Biennale 2025 Unveils Cultural Programs for Saudi Founding Day Celebrations
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation announced on Tuesday a series of events to mark Saudi Founding Day as part of the cultural program for the second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale. Currently underway at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the biennale runs until May 25.
Scheduled for the weekend of February 21–22, the events will feature workshops, panel discussions, and artistic performances, bringing together experts and creatives from the Kingdom and beyond.
The program celebrates the richness of Islamic heritage while fostering learning, dialogue, and cultural exchange.
Highlights include ceramic mosaic workshops, an interactive exhibition on the making and preservation of the Kaaba's Kiswa, in collaboration with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque; film screenings in partnership with the Red Sea International Film Festival; photography workshops exploring multiple exposure techniques; and an exhibition showcasing traditional Saudi cuisine.

For more secured handling, pilgrims should place each bottle on specially designated conveyor belts. To abide by aviation safety standards, pilgrims should not pack Zamzam water in checked luggage. Each pilgrim can carry only one bottle. Pilgrims must present a valid Umrah visa, or a permit issued via the Nusuk app to complete the purchase and transportation process. Crown Prince arrives in Mina to oversee Hajj services
Saudi Gazette report MINA — On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Mina on Thursday to supervise the services and facilities provided to pilgrims during the peak of the Hajj season. Nearly two million pilgrims converged on Mount Arafat, marking the spiritual pinnacle of the five-day pilgrimage. Dressed in seamless white garments symbolizing unity and humility, pilgrims gathered at dawn after spending the night in the tent city of Mina for reflection and prayer. The pilgrims will spend the day in prayer on the plains of Arafat before heading to Muzdalifah and returning to Mina for the symbolic stoning of the devil, followed by the Eid al-Adha animal sacrifice, marking the culmination of Hajj. Saudi Arabia has deployed tens of thousands of workers, security forces, medical staff, and volunteers to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage. Extensive services — from transportation and healthcare to crowd management and digital support — are in place across the holy sites to support the mass movement of pilgrims and safeguard their well-being.
