Keith Andrews signs three-year deal as Brentford boss
Keith Andrews will be officially unveiled as Brentford boss after the former Irish international put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the club.
Andrews arrived at the club last season where he was employed as set piece coach and has made a big impression, being named as successor to Thomas Frank.
The former midfielder played 35 times for his country as coached with MK Dons, and was part of Stephen Kenny's backroom staff with Ireland.
Andrews is the first Irish international to manage in the Premier League since Chris Hughton left Brighton and Hove Albion in 2019. Much will be made of Andrews' backroom staff appointment with reports in the English media stating he was interested in bringing Damien Duff on board, however, he has since dismissed the link.
Brentford will return for pre-season training in the coming weeks and kick off their Premier League campaign against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, 17 August.

KEITH ANDREWS HAS been confirmed as the new manager at Brentford. The former Republic of Ireland international has been heavily linked with the vacancy at the Premier League club and his appointment has now been confirmed. Andrews becomes the successor to Thomas Frank, having been part of the Dane's staff last season when he impressed as a set-piece coach. 'Pretty humbled would be the overriding feeling, honoured that I'm the person that's been chosen to take the club into the next chapter', Andrews told Brentford's in-house media. 'I'm very appreciative of the owner, the board and the staff that have supported this decision. It's an opportunity I feel I'm very capable of doing and ready to do. 'I don't know where to start in terms of what's exciting me because there's so much: the potential of the football club, the potential of the players and the potential of the staff that underpin what has brought success to this brilliant football club.'
