This year's expanded program reflects the spirit of Eid, offering culturally authentic interactive entertainment. Baraha Msheireb, the largest courtyard in the region, will host family games, and live performances featuring a guitarist, saxophonist, violinist, as well as duo and trio musicians throughout the day.
Sikkat Al Wadi will come alive with international roaming entertainment, featuring performers from diverse backgrounds, alongside live music and interactive shows. Guests can also participate in the popular painting workshop, where they can craft personalized Eid decorations, and unwind at the Mindfulness Mirror Installation, designed for moments of reflection amid the excitement.
At Sahat Al Nakheel, visitors can enjoy stage performances, engaging children's activities, giveaways, and an Eid Q&A session, creating an interactive experience for all ages. Meanwhile, at Al Kahraba street, pop-up stalls will be installed offering traditional Eid specialties.
For food enthusiasts, pop-up stalls will serve traditional Eid specialties, offering a culinary journey through the holiday's signature flavors. Visitors can unwind at gathering spots like the Ghori shop.

My 9-year-old son, for instance, learned how to craft a coin bank with skill and creativity, among other engaging experiences.' Still, all kinds of activities were available, allowing each child to choose what suited them best.' Meanwhile, the central plaza featured an audio art installation titled 'Under the Willow Tree' by artist Sara Ricciardi. Hundreds of families gathered around this immersive piece, where the symbolic willow tree—long associated with renewal, healing, and gentle strength—provided a serene and evocative setting for the celebrations. Wide Range of Activities The entire Ithra complex was adorned with the theme of generosity. Ithra Library hosted 'Eid Tales: Faces of Giving,' while the Energy Exhibit explored themes of giving through displays like 'Nature's Gift,' 'Desert Treasures,' 'Wings of Giving,' and 'Natural Wealth.' In Ithra's gardens, children gathered for 'The Gift of Story,' where captivating tales brought Eid joy to life. Other activities included 'Paths of Earth and Palm Trees.' The Children's Museum offered a vibrant lineup of themed events such as 'The Giving Vault,' 'The Giving Frame,' 'The Art of Giving,' 'Eid Journey,' and 'We Are Giving.' Ithra Celebrates Eid Al-Adha with 31 Festivities
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is set to celebrate Eid Al-Adha through 31 events over three days, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Ithra will provide visitors of all ages with a vast array of entertaining and cultural activities such as music, storytelling, games and workshops. Several activities will be in Arabic but are accessible to all people under the theme of 'Ribbons of Giving.' Ithra Interestingly, the center will host a concert at Ithra Theater by Egyptian oud virtuoso Islam Al-Qasabgy, who is known for mixing classical Arabic music with modern styles. Meanwhile, Ithra Cinema will display the Japanese manga character Chibi Maruko-chan and the Japanese animated fantasy movie 'Kiki's Delivery Service' with Arabic subtitles. Moreover, visitors will have an unmissable opportunity to visit various stunning exhibitions at Ithra Museum, which focus on handicrafts and align with the 'Year of Handicrafts'. Art Basel to launch new fair in Qatar
DUBAI: Art Basel is set to launch a new edition of its globally renowned fair in Qatar, scheduled for February 2026 in Doha. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @ Announced on Tuesday, the inaugural Art Basel Qatar is a joint partnership between the organization's parent company MCH Group, Qatar Sports Investments, and QC+, a cultural commerce collective. The fair will be held at M7 and the Doha Design District in Msheireb, at the heart of the city's creative quarter. It promises a tightly curated showcase of leading modern and contemporary art galleries, spotlighting talent from the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and beyond. The initiative builds on Qatar's long-term cultural vision, championed by Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, chairperson of Qatar Museums. 'We have built a thriving ecosystem of culture and sports … and are pleased to welcome the Art Basel organization as our partner,' she said. The project follows Qatar's successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup and aims to further position the nation as a hub for arts, sports, and tourism. QSI's Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi called the partnership 'part of the legacy' of the World Cup and a new chapter in QSI's investment in culture. Art Basel CEO Noah Horowitz said the initiative 'supports artists and galleries and develops new collecting audiences,' while MCH Group CEO Andrea Zappia added that it 'will attract art buyers and fans from the region and all over the world.' Art Basel Qatar will be the fifth fair in the Art Basel portfolio, joining editions in Basel, Miami Beach, Hong Kong, and Paris.
