24-year-old Indian woman who went to U.S. for arranged marriage goes missing
A 24-year-old Indian woman, who arrived in the U.S. State of New Jersey for an arranged marriage, has gone missing, authorities said.
According to the New York Post, the woman, identified as Simran, arrived on a flight from India on June 20. Surveillance footage shows the woman looking at her phone and seemingly waiting for someone, police said.
Lindenwold, NJ, Police, who first learned of her disappearance on Wednesday, said she didn't appear to be in distress in the video.
Police said investigators were told that she had come here for the arranged marriage. However, it was also possible she had no intention to marry, and merely wanted a free trip to America, they added.
Simran has been described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and is said to weigh about 68 kg. She has a small scar on the left side of her forehead.
She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a white T-shirt, black flip flops, and small diamond-studded earrings. Police said she has no relatives living in the U.S. and doesn't speak English. Her international phone only works via Wi-Fi.
Police have also been unable to reach her relatives in India, according to the report.

LUCKNOW: Observing that the judiciary's tolerance towards cases with anti-national overtones was contributing to the rise in such incidents, the Allahabad High Court denied bail to a 62-year-old man for sharing a 'Pakistan Zindabad' post on a social media platform. The court said his anti-national conduct did not entitle him to seek protection of his right to liberty guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. Rejecting the bail plea of Ansar Ahmad Siddique, the bench comprising Justice Siddharth said, 'Commission of such offences is becoming a routine affair in this country because the courts are liberal and tolerant towards such acts of people with anti-national bent of mind. It is not a fit case for enlarging the applicant on bail at this stage.' The court further observed, 'Clearly, the act of the applicant is disrespectful to the Constitution and its ideals. His act amounts to challenging the sovereignty of India and adversely affecting the unity and integrity of the country by sharing anti-social and anti-Indian posts. The applicant is a senior citizen and his age shows that he was born in independent India. His irresponsible and anti-national conduct does not entitle him to seek protection of his right to liberty guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India.' However, while denying bail, the court directed that the trial be concluded against the applicant as expeditiously as possible. As per the FIR, the applicant had shared a post on the social media platform Facebook, making an appeal for propagating Jihad, complemented by the slogan 'Pakistan Zindabad'. The accused had also urged his community to support their Pakistani brothers. It is alleged that such a post hurt national sentiments and militated against India's sovereignty and integrity. It had also hurt the sentiments of Indian citizens.

The bail application was filed by one Ansar Ahmad Siddique, with a request to release him on bail in case no 196 of 2025 under sections 197 (acts that undermine national integration), 152 (acts endangering sovereignty unity and integrity of India) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at police station – Chhatari Bulandshahr during pendency of trial. During the course of hearing, the counsel for the applicant submitted that the applicant had only shared a video on facebook on May 3, 2025. 'He is an old man, aged about 62 years and undergoing medical treatment,' he added. On the other hand, the state government's counsel vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the applicant and submitted that the conduct of the applicant was against the interest of the country and applicant does not deserve to be enlarged on bail. He further submitted that the video was posted after J&K carnage of 26 people, and therefore, it clearly proved that the applicant supported the terrorists' act on religious grounds. After hearing the contentions, the court in its order dated June 26 rejected the bail application mentioning that as per Article 51-A(a), it is the duty of every citizen of India to abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the national flag and the national anthem and as per sub clause (c) to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India. According to the FIR, applicant shared a post on social media platform of facebook wherein an appeal was made for propagating jihad, saying 'Pakistan Zindabad' and appealing to his brothers to support Pakistani brothers.

Hindu girl, boy from Pak found dead in Jaisalmer; may have starved in extreme heat
A Hindu girl and a man from Pakistan were found dead around 10 to 12 kilometres from the International Border on the Indian side in Sadhewala sector in Rajasthan's to sources, the two are believed to have died from starvation and dehydration about four to five days ago, amid the extreme heat and harsh desert conditions. Their remains were found on a sand dune near Gajesingh village by a shepherd, who informed the Tanot police officials recovered identification documents and mobile SIM cards from the deceased, through which they were identified as Ravi Kumar (17) and Shanti (14), both reportedly Pakistani nationals. After reaching the spot where the bodies were found, Tanot Police informed the Border Security Force (BSF), who took custody of the dead bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Both the bodies have been kept at Ramgarh said that the actual cause of their death will only be known after the autopsy report is out.
