The relationship with Actress A reportedly ended in the spring of 2019, just months before Kim Soo Hyun completed his military duty.

Many cited letters he allegedly sent to Kim Sae Ron during his military service, along with other materials her family provided to the Garosero Research Institute, as proof of their relationship.
Public sentiment online has grown increasingly critical, with many mocking Kim Soo Hyun for "shooting himself in the foot" by letting contradictory stories come to light.
