It's time to head to the Brickyard for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Today is a busy day for fans of motorsports, beginning with this morning's Formula One Monaco Grand Prix and ending later tonight with the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 — and it will be be particularly buy for one man, Kyle Larson, who is going to attempt to start and finish both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600.
This year's 'greatest spectacle in racing' had a shake up during inspections; defending champion Josef Newgarden and his Penske teammate Will Power were both found to have an illegally modified spec part on their cars.
Newgarden, who also won the 2023 edition of the Indy 500, could become the first driver to record three consecutive wins at the Indy 500, but beginning in the back row makes finishing first a long shot. Whoever wins, whether it's Newgarden or someone else, will get to experience the race's traditional milk celebration.
