JEDDAH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has called on Umrah service providing companies, establishments, and foreign agents to document housing contracts for Umrah pilgrims in tourist hospitality facilities licensed by the Ministry of Tourism through the "Nusuk Masar" platform.
The move is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to ensure high-quality services for Umrah pilgrims and enhance operational efficiency throughout the Umrah season.
The ministry clarified that the issuance of Umrah visas is now contingent upon a documented contract with licensed hospitality providers. This measure aims to regulate the hospitality sector and ensure Umrah pilgrims to have a safe and comfortable experience from the time of their arrival until departure.
This directive came into effect from the beginning of the Umrah season on Dhul Hijjah 14, 1446 AH, corresponding to June 10. Authorities emphasized the importance of early contract documentation and strict adherence to the approved regulations to avoid delays in visa issuance or exposure to regulatory action.
This decision reflects ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Tourism to raise the standard of services, protect Umrah pilgrims' rights, and prevent practices that could negatively impact their experience.

Anmat announces 3 contracts worth SAR 61.7M

Anmat Technology Trading Co. announced today, June 12, the signing of three separate contracts, totalling SAR 61.7 million. On May 29, Anmat signed a SAR 19.74 million contract (inclusive of VAT) with the National Center for Wildlife to establish licensing offices for wildlife trade at eight sites in various regions of the Kingdom, the company said in a statement to Tadawul. The contract duration ranges from six to seven months, with the financial impact expected to begin in the second half of 2025. In a separate statement, the company said it signed a SAR 24.76 million contract with the Ministry of Tourism on Jan. 12. The 36-month contract involves developing a platform for container systems. Anmat expects the financial impact to appear in the second half of the year. Moreover, the company received a purchase order from the Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) worth SAR 17.24 million (including VAT). The 35-day contract covers the second phase of the SEC's meeting room unification project. Financial impact is expected to appear in the second half of 2025.

Q: Congratulations on your appointment as General Manager of BD in Saudi Arabia. Can you share your journey leading to this role and what it means to you? A: My journey in healthcare has been both dynamic and fulfilling. I graduated in Radiological Sciences from the University of Wales (UK)and began my career as a radiology technologist at a Military hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Following a decade in public healthcare, I transitioned to the corporate sector, where I held several senior leadership roles in digital health services. My journey then took me to the Ministry of Investment (formerly SAGIA), where I was the managing director for healthcare investment and promotion efforts responsible of medical devices , medical services , digital health and pharmaceutical investments .
