Arrest made in deadly shooting at St. Vincent de Paul charity
The Chamblee Police Department announced a suspect was in custody related to the deadly shooting outside of the St. Vincent de Paul charity on Friday.
Channel 2 Actionn News was at St. Vincent's on Friday, where police said Jeremiah Clanton was accused of killing a man.
The 31-year-old was said to have killed the victim after a physical altercation at the charity.

On Friday, Clanton was on the run, with police warning the public to proceed with caution and saying that he was known to be a MARTA rider.
Chamblee police said Clanton was caught on Saturday morning in Atlanta.
Clanton was charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of the crime. He is in custody at the DeKalb County Jail, according to police.
Officers have not identified the victim yet, pending notification to his family.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Three men inside the home, all of whom are from Metro Detroit, were arrested and booked at the Knox County Jail. They are facing a list of charges that include possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver controlled substances, along with maintaining a dwelling for drug use. Three juveniles were also inside the residence. The Department of Children's Services responded to the scene and took custody of the children, the report said.

2 Killed in Shooting on Las Vegas Strip
A gunman shot and killed two people on a busy Sunday night on the Las Vegas Strip near the fountains outside the Bellagio hotel, the Las Vegas Police said. The police said in a statement early Monday that they had identified the shooter but were still seeking to arrest him. The shooting was an isolated episode, the police added. The gunman and the victims knew each other and 'had previously engaged in conflict over social media,' the police said. The shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. Pacific on the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, close to the Bellagio Resort & Casino, the police said. Officers were patrolling the area, the police said, when they heard gunshots. When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found two people 'suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,' the police said. Medical personnel arrived shortly afterward and the two victims died at the scene, the police said. Footage that was circulating online Monday, verified by Storyful, shows a man firing a gun and people running for cover. The police did not immediately identify the victims. The Clark County Coroner's office did not immediately respond to a request to provide details about the victims.

Woman who fled troopers, crashed near West St. Paul home had revoked license, charges say
A 31-year-old woman is accused of driving under the influence when she led troopers on a chase early Thursday morning and crashed just feet away from a West St. Paul home. According to the criminal complaint, a trooper noticed a 2011 BMW speeding at 97 mph on Interstate 94 near Pascal Street around 1:30 a.m. When the trooper activated their emergency lights, the BMW slowed to 60 mph and nearly struck a concrete median. The BMW then exited onto Butler Avenue, and the trooper decided to stop the pursuit, court documents say. Eventually the driver sideswiped a parked car and came to a halt in the front yard of a home on the 800 block of Cherokee Avenue. The driver was arrested at the scene, and kept saying she was "running from the cartel," documents say. Officials also found a half-empty bottle of Hennessy on the passenger floorboard of the BMW. WCCO At the hospital, the woman's preliminary breath test sample registered a 0.18. She said "I'm under the influence regardless, but I'll blow it," according to the charges. She is charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and driving under the influence. The woman had a history of driving under the influence, documents say. Her license had been revoked because of two previous charges: refusing to take a DWI test in September of 2023 and allegedly driving with a 0.223 BAC in November of 2023.
