Mallya first posted about the franchise immediately after they beat Punjab Kings by six runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He lauded their 'balanced team' and even praised the support staff, concluding the message with the popular Kannada phrase ' Ee sala cup namde' (this year, the cup will be ours).
'RCB are IPL Champions finally after 18 years. Superb campaign right through the 2025 tournament. A well balanced team Playing Bold with outstanding coaching and support staff. Many congratulations ! Ee sala cup namde !!" he wrote.
The next post was more about himself and the dream he saw for the franchise. He took a bit of credit for picking 'King' Virat Kohli, Chris Gaye and AB de Villiers in the team.
'When I founded RCB it was my dream that the IPL trophy should come to Bengaluru. I had the privilege of picking the legendary King Kohli as a youngster and it is remarkable that he has stayed with RCB for 18 years. Sidhu Moosewala's father writes to Mumbai Police to stop the proposed screening of a documentary about his son on June 11

Bathinda: The father of slain Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala has called on Mumbai Police to block the public screening of a BBC documentary about his son's murder, alleging it could compromise the ongoing trial and infringe upon the family's rights. Balkaur Singh, father of the late artist — whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu — has filed formal complaints with the Mumbai Police commissioner and Juhu police station, urging authorities to stop the screening scheduled for June 11 at Soho House, Juhu. The event, organised by the BBC World Service, is being advertised as an "investigative documentary" that claims to reveal hidden details about Moosewala's killing. Moosewala's father has also expressed concern that the film includes "unauthorised and unpublished" material, including private testimonies and sensitive information related to his son's life and death. He writes in his complaint that the documentary uses Moosewala's name, image and personal history without family consent, and could prejudice the ongoing murder trial. "The screening could misrepresent and exploit my son's story, interfere with judicial proceedings, and provoke public unrest due to the sensitive subject matter," Balkaur Singh wrote, warning the public that the film might violate Indian legal protections on privacy, defamation, and posthumous dignity. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Discover Effortless Glucose Monitoring: Request a Free Trial Dexcom Click Here Undo Enclosing a copy of the invitation, Balkaur Singh said the screening was set to run from 3 to 6 pm on June 11, and called for police intervention, including the deployment of officers at the venue and the issuance of prohibitory orders under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) or other applicable laws. He also claimed to be preparing civil and legal action against the film's producers and organisers. However, he emphasised that immediate steps were needed to "safeguard the dignity and legacy" of his late son and prevent the circulation of "unlawful or defamatory content." Sidhu Moosewala was shot during May 2022 in Punjab's Mansa district. His killing triggered public outrage and remains the subject of a high-profile criminal investigation. MSID:: 121696740 413 |

"It's extremely challenging tour to crack" - Stephen Curry Eyes New Career Options After NBA; Golden State Warriors Star Plans Next Move

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry (Image credit: Ayesha Curry/Instagram) Stephen Curry still has plenty left to give in the NBA, but the Golden State Warriors star already has his sights set on a potential second career once his basketball days are over. Stephen Curry continues to dominate the NBA despite playoff exit At 37 years old, Curry continues to perform at an elite level. This season, he averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game while shooting 44.8% from the field and 39.7% from three-point range. Despite his strong individual play, the Golden State Warriors fell short of their ultimate goal—winning an eighth franchise championship—after Curry missed most of their second-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Retirement isn't on the table yet, but Curry has already hinted at what might come next. Stephen Curry eyes professional golf after NBA career In a recent interview with CNBC's Alex Sherman, Stephen Curry revealed that he may attempt a professional golf career once he steps away from basketball. "That would be a fun goal to go after for sure," Curry said. "It's an extremely challenging tour to crack if you're not one of the champion ex-PGA guys that are making that jump after you turn 50. So to do all the qualifying journey and all that—I'm pretty sure I'll try it. I've seen guys who are preparing themselves to do the same thing." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Forget Furosemide, Use This Household Item To Help Drain Edema Fluid WellnessGuide Learn more Undo Though Curry is best known for his basketball prowess, he has already made a name for himself in golf. He has competed in the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament, securing two top-five finishes—including a win in 2023. Stephen Curry's basketball IQ could translate to golf success Given Curry's ability to perform under pressure and his tactical approach to the game, a transition to professional golf isn't far-fetched. His precision and mental discipline on the basketball court could serve him well on the greens. But before he considers a career change, Curry remains focused on adding a fifth NBA championship to his resume. Golden State Warriors may need another star to contend next season The midseason addition of Jimmy Butler gave the Warriors a major boost, but the team might still need one more impact player in free agency to maximize Curry's championship window. If Golden State can secure another game-changing talent, Curry could have the support he needs to make another deep playoff run in 2025-26. Netherlands Secure Comeback Win Over India In European Leg Of FIH Pro League

The Netherlands secured the winning goal two minutes before the final whistle through Van Dam Thijs (58th minute), who also scored the equalizing goal in the 25th minute. Captain Harmanpreet Singh converted the first penalty corner of the match in the 19th minute to give India the lead. India began the match strongly, dominating possession with crisp passing despite the Netherlands' high press. While the first eight minutes didn't pose any real threats to goal from either side, India got an opportunity soon after, as they won the ball in the Dutch circle. Dilpreet Singh's reverse hit was blocked at close range by Dutch goalkeeper Maurits Visser. At the other end, the Netherlands threatened late in the first quarter as Thierry Brinkman approached the right flank, but the Indian defense stood firm to avert the danger. The Netherlands came out with intent in the second quarter, with Steijn van Heijningen testing Suraj Karkera in the 17th minute, but the Indian goalkeeper blocked the effort. India responded with purpose and earned a penalty corner after Dilpreet was impeded by a stick challenge inside the circle. Captain Harmanpreet stepped up and fired a powerful, low shot to give India the lead. As the second quarter progressed, India exhibited a tight defensive formation, but the home team managed to get the breakthrough in the 25th minute with Thijs van Dam finding the equalizer, leaving the scores at 1-1 before halftime. As the second half began, India's strong passing game was central to proceedings, but the visitors struggled with a lack of clear scoring opportunities and shots on goal. To break the deadlock, India attempted to bypass the midfield with long aerial balls, but the Dutch defense was up to the task. At the other end, the Netherlands grew increasingly assertive, posing more challenges for the Indian backline, though the scores remained 1-1 after a tepid third quarter. The Netherlands had the lion's share of possession in the final quarter, and the hosts made it count. Thijs van Dam struck again in the 58th minute, making the most of a well-placed pass into the circle. With a deft first touch to control, he followed up with a fierce strike, ensuring victory for the Netherlands. India will face the Netherlands again on Monday in the second match of the European leg. India played the home leg of the ongoing Pro League in Bhubaneswar earlier this year, where they amassed 15 points with five wins in eight games.
