With Le'Veon Moss leaving after the 2025 season, bringing Hatton into the backfield lineup will provide immediate depth in 2026. Expectations remain high for an Aggie roster filled with talent and experience at every level, and while half of the fan base is still skeptical of the team's progress, Elko is supremely confident that his team is on the right track, as he continued to praise several offensive and defensive leaders, including starting quarterback Marcel Reed and junior linebacker Taurean York. 2026 4-star Texas A&M TE commit has shut down his recruitment
Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is one of the hottest growing cycles in the country, already locking down two of the highest-ranked prospects in the class as four-star WR Aaron Gregory and four-star running back Jonathan Hatton have shut down their recruitment and future official visits, and will more than likely sign with the Aggies during Early Signing Day on December 4. Tafua has continued to garner attention from several programs, primarily due to his elite athletic profile as a standout basketball and volleyball player, which has enhanced his ability as a receiver, with impressive quickness evident in his route running.
