Dutch actor Bart Harder (This City Is A Battlefield, Arcadia) and Spanish actor Carles Pulido, who has worked mainly in theater until now, play two old friends who attempt to reconnect over a 400-mile (600-km) hike on Scotland's West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail.
Set against the pace and demands of long-distance hiking, The North depicts the intricacies and challenges of both friendship and internal human struggles against the backdrop of the beautifully stark Highlands' wilderness.
It is Dutch director Bart Schrijver's second fiction feature after Human Nature, starring as Jamie Bouwmeester as woman Sophie decides to hike 500 kilometers through the Arctic region of Norway.
The feature is produced by Amsterdam-based company Tuesday Studio, which is specialized in making film set around the outdoors and hiking and incorporates this into its production process. The company has also made the film available in select territories through it dedicated tsdy streaming app.
'We are delighted to have The North join Incredible Film's selection of features,' said CEO Daniëlle Raaphorst.
'It's rare to come across a film with such exceptional cinematography paired with nuanced storytelling. Bart, the Tuesday Studio team and the entire cast and crew worked tirelessly (surviving in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands for 30 days) to create this film, and we look forward to sharing it around the world.'

Lerner on the Lawn returns

ELKHART — The free Lerner on the Lawn concert series is back this summer at Central Green with new energy and flare, Lerner Theatre officials said. It will also be on a different day of the week from the downtown ArtWalk this year. This is the fourth year The Lerner has hosted the free monthly concert series. The first Lerner on the Lawn will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 28, featuring EatDrinkBeHappy, a music project from Nashville-based songwriter and artist John Allan Miller. 'If you can imagine the kind of music that you'd like to hang out on the lake and listen to on a boat, maybe a yacht, I don't know, and come together with your friends, maybe have a little drink, and just relax,' said Jenna Brouillette, marketing and communications manager. 'And really enjoy the summer feeling that comes with the warm weather and the clear skies. That's the kind of event that we're looking forward to.' Like in previous years, the Lerner on the Lawn event will have food trucks along High Street, Brouillette said. The events will be sponsored by the city and the Elkhart County Convention and Visitor's Bureau. The events will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Lerner Theatre and will be free to the public. In years past, the ArtWalk has occurred alongside the Lerner on the Lawn events, but this year the events will be separate. 'ArtWalk is being a little bit reimagined,' Brouillette said. 'It's being taken on by Elkhart Parks and Recreation, which we are super excited for them to continue Elkhart ArtWalk on Wednesdays this year.' ArtWalk will be held the last Wednesday each month through September starting June 25. By separating the events, Brouillette said, people have more opportunities to head downtown to see, eat and play. The vision was to bring ArtWalk back down to Main Street and showcase the businesses in downtown, Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jamison Czarnecki said. 'The goal is to take it back to its roots to where it was when it was first created,' Czarnecki said. 'Put it in around Main Street and then try to put as many artists as we can on Main Street, in and out the businesses, diversify the types of art that are out there that we're showcasing, and then have music throughout Main Street. It should be a fun event.' ArtWalk will also feature a large kids zone on the plaza led by the Tolson Center, Czarnecki said. The hope is to continue to make downtown vibrant with something to do for everyone, he said. More information about Lerner on the Lawn is available at or from The Lerner Theatre's Facebook page.

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on June 14, 2025, 19:17 IST With its unique blend of fantasy, comedy, and culinary creativity. Following the success of its first season, Studio Trigger announced a second season, leaving fans eager for more adventures with Laios and his party. In this article, we'll dive into everything we know about Delicious in Dungeon Season 2. Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 Release Date Speculation As of June 2025, no official release date for Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 has been confirmed. However, several clues point to a potential timeline: Production Status : Studio Trigger confirmed that Season 2 is in production as of August 2024, announced via the anime's official X account. Industry Trends : Anime sequels typically take 1–2 years after the first season's finale. Since Season 1 ended on June 13, 2024, fans can expect Season 2 to premiere between summer 2025 and winter 2026 . Studio Trigger's Schedule: The studio is also working on New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt , which may impact the timeline. A late 2025 or early 2026 release seems likely. While some reports speculate a 2026 release, the rapid announcement post-Season 1 suggests Studio Trigger may prioritize Delicious in Dungeon due to its popularity. Fans should watch for updates from Studio Trigger, Kadokawa, or Netflix for an official date. Who's Returning for Season 2? The main voice actors from Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles, given the quick renewal and no reports of scheduling conflicts. The confirmed cast includes: Laios Touden : Kentarō Kumagai (Japanese), Damien Haas (English) Marcille Donato : Sayaka Senbongi (Japanese), Emily Rudd (English) Chilchuck Tims : Asuna Tomari (Japanese), Casey Mongillo (English) Senshi : Hiroshi Naka (Japanese), SungWon Cho (English) Izutsumi : Mitsuho Kambe (Japanese), Laura Stahl (English) Falin Touden : Saori Hayami (Japanese), Lisa Reimold (English) Kabru: Wataru Katō (Japanese), Cedric Williams (English) Plot Details: What to Expect in Season 2 Delicious in Dungeon Season 1 adapted the first 52 chapters of Ryoko Kui's manga, covering seven of its 14 story arcs. Season 2 will pick up from Chapter 53, starting with the First Floor Interlude Arc, and is expected to explore the remaining arcs, potentially concluding the series. Season 1's 24 episodes adapted roughly two chapters per episode. With 45 chapters remaining (Chapters 53–97), a 24-episode Season 2 could adapt the entire manga. However, if Season 2 has only 12 episodes, a third season may be needed. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . 7 of the best wild swimming spots in the UK

This article was produced by National Geographic Traveller (UK). There's no better way to immerse yourself in nature than by going wild swimming. Every spot tells its own story: tidal pools fed by Scottish mountains leave your skin humming; river estuaries in Cornwall carry the scent of salt and oak; and in London, ponds are hangouts for locals looking to escape the city streets. Here, we round up seven of the most scenic, whether you're looking for somewhere to go with your family or a wild adventure. They're as beautiful as they are grounding, so take your time. And don't forget to bring a flask; one of the best things about cold water is warming up again. Set at the foot of the Black Cuillin mountains, a 20-minute walk from the Glenbrittle car park, these tumbling pools look almost too perfect to be real. The glacial water is crystal clear, revealing smooth stones, darting fish and glinting shells, and bell heather and buttercups bloom at the edges. It can get busy, but go early or in soft rain and you might ride the chutes carved by centuries of flow by yourself. Stay a 40-minute drive away at The Bracken Hide, a design-led bothy hotel with Estonian sauna pods and a plunge pool. It's an ideal base for exploring more of Skye, from the hidden coves of Loch Bracadale to Loch Coruisk, reached only by boat or a challenging hike. This tidal island off the southwest coast of Anglesey is one of Wales's most evocative swimming spots. It was once home to St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, and her ruined chapel is now a place of pilgrimage for couples. Park at Newborough National Nature Reserve, then stroll to Llanddwyn's sand dunes and lighthouse, with views sweeping to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and the Llŷn Peninsula. The long stretches of sand, rockpools and sheltered coves on both its east and west sides mean you'll find calm waters even when the wind picks up. And nearby Halen Môn offers wild seaweed baths in whisky barrels overlooking the Menai Strait — a soothing end to a day in the elements. Brackish water (where fresh rivers meet salty coasts) clings to the skin like green silk. Experience it in this hamlet in south Cornwall, set by the estuary of the Helford River, which has an emerald tint from the reflection of the ancient woods that line the banks. Its coves are steeped in stories; English novelist Daphne du Maurier set her piratical romance Frenchman's Creek here, and the hidden inlets, shifting tides and overhanging oaks still feel ripe for smuggling tales. Spend the night in a local National Trust cottage to explore the South West Coast Path, which runs through Durgan and links a string of secret swim spots. For a longer escape, women could consider The Salt Sisterhood – a week-long retreat offering daily guided swims. If you want children to fall in love with wild waters, bring them to this semi-natural tidal pool in north Cornwall, set on a long ripple of sand between the beaches of Summerleaze and Crooklets. At low tide, it becomes a gentle playground — a place to bodyboard, learn to swim or simply splash about while safe from the Atlantic swells, then grab a cone from an ice cream van. Beyond the sea wall, the real waves begin, with big, rolling surf drawing wetsuit-clad regulars and enthusiasts from all over. After your dip, step into Bude beach's Ocean Soul Sauna, with a glass front for watching the surfers play. Tucked deep in the Langstrath Valley, this gorge is a wild swimmer's dream: deep enough to dive, clear enough to see your toes when the sun is out and remote enough to feel truly earned. Park in the village of Stonethwaite and follow the footpath beside Langstrath Beck — a two-mile walk that gets the blood pumping. If you're brave, you can then leap in from a natural ledge, or scramble in from the smooth rocks. The water is fed by mountain streams and stays bracingly cold even in summer, and a strong current at one end creates a kind of wild swimming treadmill. Bring a jumper to stay warm post-swim, then head back to Stonethwaite for sticky toffee pudding and a fireside warm-up at the Langstrath Country Inn. You might not expect wildness in the middle of a capital city, but that's what makes the ponds in this north London heath special. There are three pools — women's, men's and mixed, often shared with moorhens, dragonflies and the occasional heron. Each has its own loyal community, with strangers passing around flasks and offering tips for warming fingers, and long-held rituals, from New Year's Day dips to solstice plunges. In summer, the grassy banks are lined with readers, nappers and sun-bathers. But autumn is when the location really shines, when the water turns amber with fallen leaves and the cold quietens the crowd. Afterwards, climb Parliament Hill and look out over the skyline to gently re-enter city life. Come to this tidal pool on the east coast of Scotland at golden hour, when the water blushes pink and the stone edges catch the evening warmth, making it a sunset swim to remember. Built into the sea wall in the 1930s, Cellardyke is now lovingly maintained by the local community, who've spent the last five years ensuring it remains safe and easily accessible. Afterwards, warm up in the wood-fired Cellardyke sauna, where the view stretches out across the Firth of Forth and Isle of May. The surrounding East Neuk of Fife area is dotted with tidal pools, from St Monans to Pittenweem, all linked by the Fife Coastal Path. Bring a towel, flask and friend and you can spend a whole weekend hopping from one the next. To subscribe to National Geographic Traveller (UK) magazine click here.
