Salman Khan shares his deeper concern when asked about marriage: 'Phir divorce toh chalo hogaya, woh aadhe paise bhi toh le jaati hai'
Even at 59,
Salman Khan
continues to be quizzed about his bachelor status, a tag he has carried for nearly four decades. During a recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, the superstar was once again teased about his refusal to marry, and as expected, he responded with his trademark humour and honesty.
Host
Kapil Sharma
jokingly asked
Salman
if he plans to follow in Aamir Khan's footsteps and find a new girlfriend. Without missing a beat, Salman replied, 'No such plans.' Archana Puran Singh, who was also present, chimed in, asking if he wasn't tired of the same question after all these years. Salman's reply had everyone in splits.
'Main humesha kehta hu ki mere shaadi kar lene mein aapka kya faeda hai? Kya aapko maza aa raha hai ki main aapke liye suhagrat mana raha hu? Main kya kar raha hu jisme aapko itni khushi ho rahi hai ki main barbad ho jau?' (I always say—how does it benefit you if I get married? Are you enjoying the fact that I'm spending my wedding night for you? What am I doing that brings you so much joy in seeing me ruined?)'
'Divorce happens over snoring now'
Delving into why marriage doesn't appeal to him, Salman pointed out the changing dynamics of relationships.
'Couples today split over minor issues like snoring or sleeping positions,' he said, adding that the level of patience and willingness to compromise has dropped drastically.
He also shared his deeper concern: 'Phir divorce toh chalo hogaya, woh aadhe paise bhi toh le jaati hai,' he said bluntly, talking about the financial and emotional toll of modern-day divorces. 'At this age, I don't think I have the energy to start over again.'

SALMAN KHAN SAYS AAMIR KHAN 'STOLE' HIS FILM, LEAVES PREMIERE CROWD IN SPLITS
When love almost turned to marriage
Over the years, Salman Khan has been linked with several women in the industry, including Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai, and Katrina Kaif. Of all his relationships, it was with Sangeeta that he came closest to getting married. In fact, wedding cards had reportedly been printed, but the actor got cold feet at the last minute, leading to their split.
Today, Aishwarya is married to Abhishek Bachchan, and Katrina to Vicky Kaushal, while Salman remains steadfastly single, still dodging questions about marriage, one witty comeback at a time.

Indian-origin Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis faces backlash for dressing as Goddess Kali: 'Deliberately chose to mock Hinduism'
Indian-origin Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis slammed for mocking Hinduism and Christianity in her latest album. Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis's Indian-origin was dragged as she received a massive backlash for her music video True Blue in which she dressed as Goddess Kali. Both Hindus and Christians slammed the music video as dressed as Goddess Kali, the singer provocatively posed with a Christian cross. Indian rapper Raftaar publicly condemned the video on Instagram, calling it a 'mockery of my religion' and urging fans to report it on YouTube. Tommy Genesis, also known as Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj, was born in Canada to a Malayali-Tamil-Swedish family. Her father, Mohanraj, is a Tamil-Malayali Christian who emigrated from India to Canada when he was young. His parents, Tommy Genesis's grandparents, were a scientist and a nurse who moved to Canada in response to a newspaper ad seeking professionals in their fields. Tommy Genesis' mother is of Swedish descent. Tommy is known for her provocative, genre-defying music that explores themes of gender, identity, and sexuality, often describing herself as a 'fetish rapper.' She gained prominence in the underground rap scene, with Dazed magazine labeling her 'the internet's most rebellious underground rap queen' in 2016 "Tommy Genesis, from a Tamil-Malayali Christian background, mocks Hindu symbols in her 'True Blue' video for shock value. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Run Your Business Like a Pro - Top Trending Accounting Software (Check Now) Accounting ERP Click Here Undo This isn't art, it's cultural insult, plain and shameless," a social media comment said. "bro i'm not even a hindu or a christian but this was so uncomfortable to watch like it just feels so off. what's with the mindset of mocking other religions culture and beliefs for clout? the insane part is that tommy genesis is an indian plus the song and music is just AWFUL," another wrote. "Her character in the latest track TRUE BLUE is described as 'Freak Of India' on the posters as you can see on the top of the poster below. Her ancestors were priests. Her father is a converted Christian. So she is apparently angry on hindus for the way they treated her father and then she is also angry on christians as they did not allower her in the church because she is a queer. And she made this video mocking both the religion," one wrote.

Exclusive - Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actress Shubhangi Atre: The industry will continue to change, it's a bit scary
Actress Shubhangi Atre, who is known for her show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, says that the industry has grown by leaps and bounds, and the modes of entertainment are going to continue to evolve. She adds that this can get a little overwhelming at times. 'The industry has already changed a lot, especially after COVID. The work culture and budgeting have changed. And in the next five years, with artificial intelligence growing, I feel things will change even more. It's a bit scary honestly. But I still believe that content is king. If you create good content, it will always work. Today people are very stressed in life, and entertainment gives them a little break from that. Music and entertainment offer relief, so we should focus on creating good content,' she says. Ask her what changes she wants to see, and she says, 'The content on TV is still a bit regressive, and that bothers me. We can definitely make more progressive shows. Second, I feel TV actors don't get the respect they deserve. People often don't take TV actors seriously. There's a perception that TV actors are overexposed or not as good. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? The mindset towards TV actors needs to change.' Meanwhile, she says that the cut-throat nature of the industry is one thing that will not change. 'Competition is very real. Sometimes people don't want to do certain roles, or they leave projects. That's their personal choice, and I respect that. But if someone is more committed, more disciplined, or more eager to work, then yes, they will get opportunities. That's what we call survival of the fittest. I just believe don't snatch work from someone, but if they don't want to do it and you can, there's no harm. Life goes on. Nothing is irreplaceable. And stardom is very temporary. We are just like passing faces on a screen. What truly matters is how well we perform and how much people connect with us,' she says.
