Dhanush, along with the primary team of Kuberaa, were present in Mumbai on Tuesday to promote their film, as well as unveil the new single, titled 'Pippi Pippi Dum Dum'. On the occasion, Dhanush spoke about Kuberaa director Sekhar Kammula and his major takeaway from the working experience on the film.
Reflecting his preparation for the role in Kuberaa, where he plays a beggar, Dhanush stated, 'Unlike popular opinion, I did not do any research for this role. Nor did I do any special homework or spend hours out in the sun. All I did was follow Sekhar Kammula — he taught me the nuances, the slang, making life very easy for me.'

His camera angles and lighting are all designed to make you look larger than life.' Nagarjuna, thanking the director, shared a few details about his role: 'I have a very important character in the film. I must thank Loki for the way he has presented me. 'Coolie' is a full-on whistle film.'Apart from Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna, 'Coolie' also stars Aamir Khan, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan in crucial roles. Taking to their X handle on Thursday, the 'Kuberaa' makers announced their decision to postpone the film's pre-release event to 'stand in solidarity' with the bereaved families of the Ahmedabad flight crash victims. They wrote, 'The pre-release event of Kuberaa, scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed in light of the tragic Ahmedabad flight crash. We stand in solidarity with the grieving families.' Earlier, the makers of 'Kuberaa' expressed their condolences to the families and friends of the plane crash victims. Taking to their X handle, the makers wrote, 'Our hearts go out to all affected by the devastating plane crash in Ahmedabad. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. May you find strength in this difficult time.' The film stars Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna in the lead roles. It is directed by Shekhar K. The film recently launched its third single track from the film 'Pippi Pippi'. The audio launch was held in Mumbai and attended by the movie's lead cast and crew. After learning about the tragic Air India flight crash victims, many members of the Indian film fraternity took to their respective social media handles to offer condolences to the victims and their families. Actor Salman Khan expressed grief over the incident, sending his heartfelt prayers to the affected people. The AI-171 bound for London's Gatwick had crashed shortly after it took off from the Ahmedabad International Airport on Thursday. The airlines said only one out of the 242 people on board the aircraft survived the crash. There were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian national on board the crashed plane. Miraculously, one person, a British national of Indian origin, survived the crash, airline authorities said. The aircraft was piloted by Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, a Line Training Captain with 8,200 hours of flying experience, assisted by First Officer Clive Kundar, who had logged 1,100 flying hours. According to Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 1339 IST (0809 UTC) from runway 23. It made a Mayday call to ATC, but thereafter, the aircraft did not respond to the calls made by ATC. Immediately after departing Runway 23, the aircraft crashed outside the airport perimeter. An official said heavy black smoke was coming from the accident site. (ANI)

Condolences continued to pour in from the Indian film industry following the horrifying Air India plane crash. The Air India flight 171 from Ahmedabad to the Gatwick airport in London crashed around 1.30 pm on Thursday, shortly after taking off. There were 230 passengers, 10 crew members and two pilots on the flight that was headed to London. One person -- the passenger of seat No. 11A -- survived the crash, officials said. Bollywood star Salman Khan, who cancelled his event with the Indian Supercross Racing League hours after the crash, later shared a message of condolence on social media. "Deeply saddened to hear about the Ahmedabad plane crash... heartfelt prayers for the families of all the passengers, crew and all those affected," he wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday night. On Friday, global star Priyanka Chopra in her Instagram Story wrote, "So so sad. Praying for everyone affected, and the families facing unimaginable loss in the Air India tragedy." Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh said he is "heartbroken" after hearing about the tragedy. "Prayers and strength to all victims, their families, and loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time. AUM," he wrote on his Instagram Story. On her Instagram Story, actor Swara Bhasker said a tragedy of such scale shakes one to the core. "Can't imagine what the affected families are going through. Prayers and strength to everyone who has lost someone and is affected by this terrible accident. Peace to the souls departed. #ahmedabadplanecrash," she wrote. "So shocked, anguished, and terrified by the plane crash in Ahmedabad... my thoughts and prayers with all affected," wrote Dia Mirza on her Instagram Story. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who was onboard the Air India flight as one of the 230 passengers, was also killed in the crash. Actor Vivek Oberoi paid condolences to the senior BJP leader in a post on X. "Deeply saddened to hear the tragic loss of my dear friend, former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani Ji, in the Air India plane crash. His contributions to Gujarat were immense, and his dedication to public service touched countless lives. "My heart goes out to his wife and children who anticipated his return in London. His absence will be profoundly felt by me and by everyone across the country. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti," he wrote. The makers of Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna, also called off a promotional event set to be held on Friday in wake of the Ahmedabad plane crash.
