NYT ‘Strands' Hints, Spangram And Answers For June 26
Strands Looking for Wednesday's Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: How To Play Strands The New York Times' Strands puzzle is a play on the classic word search. It's in beta for now, which means it'll only stick around if enough people play it every day. There's a new game of Strands to play every day. The game will present you with a six by eight grid of letters. The aim is to find a group of words that have something in common, and you'll get a clue as to what that theme is. When you find a theme word, it will remain highlighted in blue. You'll also need to find a special word called a spangram. This tells you what the words have in common. The spangram links two opposite sides of the board. While the theme words will not be a proper name, the spangram can be a proper name. When you find the spangram, it will remain highlighted in yellow. Be warned: You'll need to be on your toes. 'Some themes are fill-in-the-blank phrases. They may also be steps in a process, items that all belong to the same category, synonyms or homophones,' The New York Times notes. But it's more specific than just any bird, it's game birds that you hunt. I thought 'business' may imply that these are birds you eat that are sold at the grocery store, but that's not the case. It's also why I couldn't find 'chicken" anywhere in here, as I don't imagine those would be terribly difficult to hunt. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Squid Game's American Spin-off Cast Possibly Adds Thor: Ragnarok Actor
A new rumor suggests that a Thor: Ragnarok actor may join the cast of Netflix's upcoming Squid Game American spin-off. Director David Fincher is reportedly developing the project. It could mark the latest expansion of the Squid Game universe following the Season 3 finale. The update was first posted by industry insider @MyTimeToShineHello on X (formerly Twitter), stating, 'Cate Blanchett has been cast in the American spinoff to Squid Game.' However, Netflix has not officially confirmed her involvement or the series itself. David Fincher, known for Mindhunter and Fight Club, is reportedly developing the American spin-off. On June 22, 2025, the same industry insider claimed that Squid Game Season 3 would '[set] up the American spinoff that David Fincher is developing.' Netflix has not released casting details or production dates, but the streamer plans to expand the franchise after Season 3 concludes. Season 3 of Squid Game, created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, premieres June 27, 2025. The finale could reportedly include a setup for the spin-off, focusing on an evolving version of the deadly games. The story continues Seong Gi-hun's arc as he re-enters the games. Trailers show the Front Man's return and Gi-hun in a tuxedo, hinting at major plot developments. Hwang Dong-hyuk has stated in past interviews that he had ideas for a separate spin-off set between Seasons 1 and 2. 'If I make [a] spin off, it will be a story happening between Season 1 and 2,' he told IndieWire earlier this month. However, he seems to have no involvement in the Fincher-led project. Netflix has not formally announced the show's title, release date, or additional cast members. Notably, Blanchett stars alongside Squid Game's Hoyeon in Apple TV+'s upcoming thriller Disclaimer, directed by Alfonso Cuarón. In the series, Blanchett portrays a journalist whose past resurfaces through a mysterious novel, while Hoyeon plays her ambitious assistant. Originally reported by Anubhav Chaudhary on SuperHeroHype. Float on fettuccine: Olive Garden unveils line of pasta-themed pool noodles
If you've ever wanted to float on pasta noodles while relaxing in a pool, now is your time to shine. Olive Garden announced on June 23 it is debuting first-ever line of pasta-themed pool noodles. The collection features items such as Floatin' Fettuccine, Takin' It Easy Tortelloni and Relaxin' Rigatoni, according to the Italian restaurant chain, making them the "perfect accessory for any summer pool party." To celebrate the chain's never-ending breadsticks and soup or salad that accompany every meal, each pool noodle purchase comes with a free "first course" inspired summer item. Customers can choose between a Breadsticks Bucket Hat, Soup-er Summer Vibes Tote Bag or Lettuce Chill Floating Drink Holder, according to a news release. The pool noodles will be available for purchase online at starting Monday, June 30 at 2 p.m. ET, with a limited amount available for eClub members beginning Thursday, June 26 at 10 a.m. ET. According to Olive Garden, each pool noodle and its accompanying "first course" item will be sold for $40 each with free shipping while supplies last. "Olive Garden has always been known for going big — big portions, big value, and never-ending first courses," said Jaime Bunker, Senior Vice President of Marketing, in a news release. "This summer, we're bringing that same spirit of abundance to the pool. Our pasta-inspired floats are a larger-than-life way to celebrate the dishes our guests love, and just like in our restaurants, every order starts with a first course." Olive Garden now has a Spicy Three-Meat Sauce on its Create Your Own Pasta menu, in addition to a newly-added Bucatini, which the company describes as a "thick spaghetti with a hollow center" that allows the pasta to soak up sauce. Starting July 7, customers can get Calabrian Steak and Shrimp Bucatini featuring grilled sirloin tips, shrimp and bucatini pasta tossed in a spicy Calabrian cream sauce with spinach and tomatoes. According to the chain, the sauce blends spicy Calabrian chilis with butter, garlic, white wine, cream and Olive Garden's marinara sauce. The new items will be available until Aug. 25 in-restaurant, to-go and via delivery, the company said. Gabe Hauari is a national trending news reporter at USA TODAY.
