Less than two weeks after trading away four draft picks to land Bane, the Magic once again moved a package of selections to snag another target. Orlando traded their two second-round selections (No. 46 and No. 57) to the Boston Celtics for the No. 32 pick.
The Celtics also landed two additional future second-round selections (2026, 2027) in the deal, per ESPN's Shams Charania.

During the ESPN broadcast, Brian Windhorst labeled the trade as a "big price" for the Magic to pay in order to move up in the second round. The NBA insider pondered if the Celtics had another team interested in the pick as well which prompted the hefty package.
As for the Magic, the team snagged French forward Noah Penda to add to the strong defensive prowess already on the roster. ESPN's Jonathan Givony reported than Penda plans to play in the NBA this season while adding this will not be a draft and stash move for Orlando.

"Noah Penda needs to prove himself as a shooter, but he has literally everything else you'd hope for in a role player," Yahoo Sports' Kevin O'Connor detailed on X. "Elite high feel player for the Magic. If shots fall, he's gonna be in the NBA for well over a decade."
