Changes at KQRS and 93X, with Brian Zepp among those out
Changes are happening at KQRS and 93X radio stations in the Twin Cities.
Social media posts from KQRS and impacted personalities say departures have taken place at both stations, including Brian Zepp at KQRS and Andrew Wappel from the 93X Half-Assed Morning Show.
Zepp is leaving The KQ Morning Show, which is hosted by Steve Gorman.
KQRS posted about Zepp's departure on its social media accounts. "We want to thank Zepp for his time with 92 KQRS," the post reads. "We had a helluva a ride over the years and want to thank him for every early morning wakeup call, too many late-night parties, and all the laughs in between."
Wappel announced his departure on Facebook.
"By now most of you have heard the news," he wrote of leaving the station where he worked for more than a dozen years. "I'm no longer with 93X and Cumulus Media. I didn't get fired and didn't do anything wrong. I was let go... Thank you to all the listeners. You are the reason why I did what I did, and for so long."
Cumulus Media has not yet responded to request for comment about the reasons for the layoffs and whether any other staff was impacted by the moves.
Kathryn Brandt, co-host of the Tom Bernard Show podcast, suggested on Twitter that others were let go beyond Zepp.
Fans have been sharing memories of Wappel's time at 93X on Reddit and even began a Change.org petition, hoping to bring him back.
"Like so many loyal listeners... my mornings began with the insightful humor and unique personality of Andrew Wappel, fondly known to us as the 'Muppet,'" the petition reads. "His sudden and unexpected departure has left a glaring void on the show, akin to losing a good friend."

There may be some hope left after all in never-ending saga between UFC heavyweight champions Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall. The MMA community at large has seemingly grown tired of the lengthy wait for Jones and Aspinall to have their long-awaited title unification clash, so much so that a online petition to strip Jones of his UFC heavyweight title has been created and signed by nearly 200,000 people, just to finally move on from the teased bout. But speaking Saturday following UFC 316 in Newark, New Jersey, UFC CEO Dana White indicated that he remains hopeful for the current heavyweight situation to work itself out. 'I've been saying [the Aspinall fight will happen] since the beginning, and Jon Jones agreed to do the fight [against Aspinall]," White said. "Jon Jones was offered the deal and accepted the deal. "Unless you hear it come from [my mouth] or we put out a press release, don't believe any of this bulls***. Unless we come out and say something, it's all bulls***. ... But yes, Jon agreed to fight Tom, fact.' Advertisement Jones' absence is becoming so prolonged that he's is closing in on making bizarre history as the longest reigning UFC heavyweight champion of all time, despite only defending the title once since winning it against Ciryl Gane in March 2023. Among his latest social media posts have been comments about not caring if he's stripped of the title and criticizing interim titlist Aspinall. Jones, 37, has even gone so far as to suggest he's more interested in a previously failed fight with PFL's Francis Ngannou than Aspinall. White admitted to having been forwarded the aforementioned petition to strip Jones of the belt by "every human on Earth," but hasn't kept up with Jones' latest ventings. "F***ing crazy," White reacted. "I've been busy, I haven't been keeping up with the gossip. [Jones] comes back either today or came back yesterday — he was in Thailand, so he's home [now]. We'll be home tonight, and Tuesday, we'll figure this out. Tom Aspinall's the guy. Advertisement "Listen, if the guy wants to retire and doesn't want to fight, [there's] nothing you can do. Regarding Ngannou, that's a door White has seemingly slammed shut in the years since Ngannou departed the UFC as its heavyweight champion in 2023. The UFC boss remains unreceptive to even entertaining the concept of Jones vs. Ngannou, stating that it's England's finest or no one at all for Jones. "It's Aspinall's fight. We've been talking to this kid forever about it," White said. "You can't make people fight. If Jon doesn't want to fight, we can't make him fight. We can try to make him fight. We can throw things at him that inspire him to want to fight. But we'll figure it out.'

Someone Started A Petition To Ban Nurburgring YouTuber Misha Charoudin From The Track
Besides appearances in video games and being lionized in more mainstream automotive media, much of the Nürburgring Nordschleife's growing popularity has come from YouTube channels. Multiple channels such as Auto Addiction share clips of cool cars and occasional driver slip-ups on the track. Another channel is that from Misha Charoudin. As he notes in his channel description, he lives near the track and spends an enormous amount of time there while documenting his adventures. He both competes in professional races, and takes a huge variety of interesting street cars out for test drives on the track during public days. He's become a fixture of the track, and has managed to attract 1.77 million subscribers. He even went out on track with Ben Collins, Top Gear 's former Stig, and has driven the Bugatti Bolide at the track. Not everyone is apparently happy with his activities, though, as a petition has surfaced looking to ban Misha temporarily from participating in public driving days. The Aggrieved Parties Think He's Dangerous The petition was posted on which allows just about anyone, anywhere, to create an online petition about anything. While there isn't anything binding or compulsory about petitions on the site, it can be a way to get attention for a cause. That cause is to keep Misha off the track for one year due to what the signed parties deem dangerous driving. The petition cites previous crashes involving Misha. In fact, Misha had a wreck just a couple of weeks ago, which he takes time to talk about on his channel (though without crash footage per Nürburgring operators' rules). It also cites two particular close calls on track with Misha behind the wheel, one with a Tesla, and one with a Porsche Cayman. It goes on to say that the crashes and close calls combined with Misha's popularity with visitors encourages visitors to also drive aggressively and dangerously during public days. So far, the petition has 690 signatures over the course of two weeks. Misha's Not Worried Misha recently went onto the automotive-themed podcast called Road To Success , and he spoke a little bit about the petition. His feelings are summed up well with this quote: 'This petition doesn't scare me at all.' He defends his videos, noting that his videos aren't about trying to set fast times (which are prohibited on public driving days), or trying to achieve certain speeds or overtake a certain number of cars. Basically, his content is more about experiencing the cars, not trying to drive them in a way that would be particularly dangerous on track. He does admit things can go wrong and have occasionally. We would add that there's always a risk of something going wrong either with your vehicle, yourself, or another person on track, no matter how careful everyone is.
