'Amazon beauty must-haves I use to stay cool in heatwave and perfect for commute'
Commuting in hot weather can end up in a sticky condition and beauty writer Tiffany Lo found a body wipe that cools down skin temperature by 3°C with a cooling sensation
As much as we love the sunshine in this lovely weather, it is almost impossible to commute and arrive your destination without drenching in sweat. Taking a bottle of water with you is good to stay hydrated but when it comes to sticky conditions that could ruin your outfit, I have found a solution to keep dry and cool.
Japan beauty brands have been selling these Cooling Body Wipes that delivers an instant cooling relief to the skin and they claim to cool body temperature by 3°C - and brands like Biore and Gatsby are selling fragrance-free and menthol scented cooling wipes, which UK shoppers can get it on Amazon for £21.84.
I got a pack of Biore's Cooling Body Wipes during my travel and it has been a life saver for me, especially when I had to get to central London through central line or northern line where the trains are not equipped with air conditioning.
Most trains are installed with a ventilation system as well as windows at the end of the carriage, but these features are made redundant when the carriage is crammed with commuters. A handheld electric fan like this Kensuka Rechargeable Portable Hand Held Fan works to improve air flow but it is heavy and big to carry it in the bag.
Gatsby Cooling Body Wipes
Product Description
The disposable Body Wipes are infused with hyaluronic acid to replenish hydration and a quick wipe can get rid of the sweat and delivers a cold relief to skin. I always put a pack (of 30 pieces) in my bag and use it the second I got out of the tube. The cooling sensation stayed on my skin for at least half an hour and it feels better than taking a shower.
Body mists also work such as this Susanne Kaufmann Cooling Body Mist, priced £30 at SpaceNK, and it's infused with menthol, citronella oil, horse chestnut extract and eucalyptus oil - perfect to soothe the skin after too much time in the hot sun. Charlotte Tilbury's Hydrator Mist is specifically designed for the face and the £35 bottle is packed with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and pollution defence for a dewy glow on-the-go.
Back to my picked cooling wipes, there are 30 in total, and given the UK's short-lived hot weather, it's rare that I get to finish the whole pack. Once it's opened, and from my experience, the wipes dry out over time, so I would suggest using it for a single holiday at a time.
Amazon sells the Gatsby Cooling Body Wipes at £21.84, and shoppers are paying 72p per wipe. While it stated 'for men', the citrus scent is quite universal. Alternatively, I would suggest the Disposable Towels, which can be found on Amazon at £6.65 for a pack of 100. Simply douse the compressible towel with cold water, and it can be used as a face wipe or body wipe.
At Boots, there is a Luna Daily The Everywhere Spray-to-Wipe, £8, a cleansing spray formulated thermal water, prebiotic lactic acid and inulin and Vitamins C, E and F, to strengthen, nourish and protect skin microbiome.

5 happiest places to live in America
Reno, Nevada, has been named the happiest place to live in America, chosen as a reformative and affordable 'modern boomtown' with fair weather and creative outlets year round. The city was chosen by Outside , based on factors including overall well-being, public land and affordability, and climate change and inclusivity. Millions of surveys were scoured to assess the best urban areas in the US for well-being, before the researchers looked at house and rental prices and general walkability. Reno was ultimately judged the best in class, undertaking massive transformations to become more inclusive and accessible, attracting major companies like Amazon and Tesla without losing sight of its local arts and crafts culture. Reno, Nevada: With a population of 273,448 and a media house price of $550,000, Reno tops the list of the happiest places to live in America. Outside described Reno as a 'modern boomtown', bustling with green, open spaces, climbing gyms and a summer arts festival as part of a local revival. The outlet noted 'ample public land and mountain vibe' in its decision to award the city the top spot in the rankings. It is a far cry from the city's historic reputation as a hub of casinos and gambling - and part of a steady transformation to a more rounded economy. Reno was once the gambling capital of the United States - before nearby Las Vegas outgrew it. The 'biggest little city in the world' has long struck a chord with artists around the globe, featuring in everything from Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues' to Springsteen's 'Reno', The Grateful Dead's 'Friend of the Devil' and REM's 'All the Way to Reno'. Now, the city is home to 18 ski resorts, popular spots for whitewater events, winding cycle trails, a host of music venues and several significant sports stadia. Reno today has enough adventure for locals and tourists year-round, making it a go-to destination inclusive of all. Wilmington, Delaware: Well-connected Wilmington neighbors Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore and Washington D.C., offering walkability and community to residents. Its population is 71,569 and Delaware's largest city is built at the meeting point of the Christina River and Brandywine Creek, and has had its riverfront revitalized in recent years. Wilmington boasts nearly 70 parks, including the 178-acre Brandywine Park and the Alapocas Run, a 415-acre space filled with hiking and biking trails. Outside reports that the city has an inclusive local culture, with LGBTQ+ community leader Dinea Elliott Collins saying: 'When I travel to other parts of the country, I realize how safe and comfortable I feel in Wilmington.' The median house price is $255,000. New Orleans, Louisiana: Population: 369,749. With a median house price of $360,000, some 80 per cent of residents in New Orleans live within a ten-minute walk of a park, making the city one of the most attractive for residents who enjoy outdoor spaces. Culturally, the city has many attractions bringing visitors each year - from the colonial-era French Quarter to St Charles Avenue and Magazine Street's rows of antique shops. New Orleans remains one of the country's most-visited cities for its deep and complex history, preserving its past in a number of significant museums. In 2016, the city was also ranked the best in the US for live music, cocktail hour and cheap eats - but last for safety. Outside references the city's culture and cuisine, friendliness towards LQBTQ+ people and 'underrated' green spaces in awarding it third place. Cincinnati, Ohio: In the late 1800s, Cincy was dubbed the 'Paris of America', due to ambitious architectural projects that still line the streets of its urban center. Developed as a river town for shipping, the city remains an industralized hub with a large economy attractive to large employers and a quaint market pavilion for merchants to sell local produce. It also remains one of the greenest, with 88 per cent of residents living ten-minutes from a park - and a temperate climate ensuring beautiful year-round vistas to be found in the city's 365 parks and recreation areas. Benefitting from large-scale immigration from Germany in the 1840s, the city also benefits from a rich brewing tradition and has more than 80 organizations still making local beer - surely pushing it up the rankings for happiest places to live. Today, Cincinnati's population is 309,513and the median house price is $272,750. Charlottesville, Virginia: The independent city of Charlottesville is much smaller than most of its competitors (population: 45,373) but boasts the same balance of work opportunities and scenic getaways shared by the country's happiest. Outside notes the city's local University of Virginia has given Charlottesville a 'vibrant startup culture', with high rates of graduates and low unemployment. The city's commercial district, The Corner, also provides Charlottesville with a number of college bars and restaurants, as well as a considerable nightlife scene. Around the city, a 20-mile trail offers hikers and bikers a picturesque loop lined with places beautiful riverside spaces, and a number of breweries are 'scattered throughout the surrounding countryside', according to Outside. The median house price is $456,000.

EXCLUSIVE Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's luxury wedding venue REVEALED
The historical Italian venue billionaire Jeff Bezos, 61, has booked for his 'wedding of the year' to , 55, later this month can be revealed by the MailOnline. The Amazon boss has booked the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, one of the largest and grandest buildings in the historical centre of Venice and its walls are decorated by the city's greatest Renaissance artists. When built in 1310 it represented the 'Seven Scuole Grandi' whose members were high society dignitaries in Venice, who reached a level of such wealth and influence they were given leading roles in the state. The Lonely Planet travel guides says of the large venue: 'One of Venice's seven grand confraternities, the Misericordia was the seat of the wealthy silk weavers guild that commissioned this enormous classical hall.' 'In 1532 Jacopo Sansovino was brought on board, brainstorming the idea of a Roman basilica within a traditional Venetian frame. No expense was spared on the interiors either, which were frescoed by Veronese, Zanchi, Pellegrini and Tintoretto. In 1914 it was taken over by the Reyer Sports Club, providing a beautiful backdrop to their basketball competitions.' The couple's highly-anticipated nuptials are set to take place the weekend of June 24 in the Floating City, much to the frustration of Venetians who have accused the billionaire of turning their home into a 'playground' for the ultra-wealthy - and are now planning protests to push back. A-list celebrities, politicians, and business leaders are expected to attend, which will mean beefed-up security, closed streets and airspace, and a strong police presence, just as Venice's peak tourist season gets underway. With an eye-popping price tag of $10million and a star-studded guest list that includes the Kardashians, actress Eva Longoria, and pop star Katy Perry - who all attended Sanchez's bachelorette party in Paris earlier this month - the wedding promises to opulence on overdrive. While President Donald Trump isn't expected to make an appearance, his children Ivanka and Don Jr are set to attend with their respective partners, husband Jared Kushner and new girlfriend Bettina Anderson. Guests are likely to land at nearby airports in gas-guzzling private planes - Bezos owns four Gulfstream jets - although the 61-year-old can't dock his $500million superyacht Koru as it's too big to anchor anywhere close to Venice. The massive carbon footprint of Bezos and his loaded guests will irk locals further, as Venice is blighted with polluted canals and mass tourism is destroying the fragile lagoon the city sits in. The Laboratorio Occupato Morion - a self-described 'anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, anti-racist and trans-feminist political space' - is already planning on hosting a protest event in the city on Friday at its social center, a short walk from the historic St. Mark's Square. The group has already begun advertising the protest online - sharing a flyer with an image of Bezos' head atop a rocket alongside the slogan: 'No space for Bezos, No space for oligarchs!' 'Jeff Bezos thinks he can buy the entire city - let's throw him a party!', the flyer reads, alongside details of Friday's demonstration. A lengthy adjoining caption reads : 'Venice is transformed into yet another playground for billionaires, while those who live it every day are left with discomfort, exclusion and precariousness.'
