A GROUP of Rangers legends reunited this weekend to celebrate the anniversary of one of the most famous moment's in the club's history.
And among them was a certain cult hero who fans have rarely heard from - or even seen - since he left Ibrox.

The year 2025 marks 20 years since Helicopter Sunday, when the Light Blues pulled off a miracle to snatch the Premiership title from Celtic's grasp on the final day of the season.
Heading into the last game of the campaign, Celtic were ahead on points by 92 to 90.
Gers beat Hibs 1-0 in Edinburgh thanks to a goal from Nacho Novo but with the Hoops winning by the same scoreline at Motherwell it looked like they would retain their league crown.
But two stunning late strikes from Scott McDonald tipped the race in the favour of Rangers, as Celtic went down 2-1 at Fir Park.
The famous line in commentary - 'The helicopter is changing direction' - was immediately etched in Scottish football folklore, as the aircraft carrying the league trophy was forced to about turn from Lanarkshire and head to the capital.
That day ranks as one of the most iconic in the history of Rangers and the players involved almost immediately gained hero status.
Five Stars Limited organised a tribute night and invited six players from the squad to the event, held at the Hilton DoubleTree in Glasgow.
The former stars appeared on stage alongside former boss Alex McLeish, each of them answering questions and talking about their own experiences of that odds-defying day.
Novo and McLeish were joined by Marvin Andrews, Thomas Buffel, Alex Rae and current interim boss Barry Ferguson, who had only just rejoined Gers in the second half of the Helicopter Sunday season.
And the final member of the group was ex-goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus.

The Dutchman has scarcely been seen in Scotland since his departure from Rangers a year after Helicopter Sunday.
He initially joined Gers in the 2005 January transfer window from Manchester City due to an injury to Stefan Klos.
A member of PSV Eindhoven's Eredivisie-winning teams of the late nineties and early noughties, Waterreus eventually took over the No.1 jersey from German international Klos.
He left with a rising Allan McGregor ready to step in between the sticks and would go on to play for AZ Alkmaar and New York Red Bulls before retiring.
Now 54, he has kept a relatively low profile since hanging up his gloves, save for the odd media appearance and briefly venturing into the world of business with his own goalie glove company.
Waterreus also played in the testimonial for Rangers legend Fernando Ricksen, who was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
He looked barely recognisable from his time at Gers at the Five Stars event, his trademark messy and curly locks now ditched for a slick, wavy look.
Five Stars thanked the fans who attended and described the do as a "great evening".
The company said in a social media post: "A great evening spent with some legends of the club commemorating the 20th Anniversary of 'Helicopter Sunday'.
"Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you had a good time."

The response to Rangers choosing Russell Martin to lead them into their new future has been underwhelming, and I get it in a way. It was between him and Ancelotti. When I first saw the latter linked, I thought, 'Jesus! Carlo?' But, no, it was his son, Davide, who's never managed before. Maybe there was a fantasist element among the Rangers fanbase who worked themselves up into a frenzy over that surname, therefore, and now they're disappointed that they've been left with Martin. But he deserves a fair crack at showing what he can do with this opportunity. There was a similar reaction when Celtic appointed Ange Postecoglou, remember. The jibes started as soon as he was announced. 'They've brought in an Australian bloke who's just been working in Japan,' and all that. But Postecoglou didn't turn out to be too bad, did he? Martin has a similar philosophy to him, too. Rangers might actually try to play football for the first time in goodness knows how many years, and the fans might grow to like his purist style if they give it a chance after the direct approach they witnessed under Philippe Clement. Martin deserves that leeway at the very least. Yes, we all know how badly it went with Southampton in the Premier League last season, but then he got them out of the Championship before that and did it in style. Rangers fans may see his win record in charge of MK Dons and Swansea and reckon they should be aiming for a higher calibre of manager. I say judge him on what he does next, not what he did before. Recruitment will be key for him. Making sure Nicolas Raskin stays would help, too. Last season, Rangers did well in their head-to-heads with Celtic. Yet they still ended up 17 points behind their great rivals in the Premiership. That wasn't where they threw away any chance at the title. It was in their other games. Now Martin needs to find that consistency which will hopefully get the fans on his side. I suspect they would have had an issue with whoever was appointed. That's the nature of football fandom. But let's judge Martin on how he does, not before he's even been shown where his office is at the training ground.

Robertson excited by potential of 'excellent' youngsters in Scotland squad
Scotland captain Andy Robertson is excited by the potential of the new crop of youngsters in the national team squad. The Liverpool defender, who won his second Premier League title last month, is preparing for Friday's clash with Iceland at Hampden. He has been joined in Steve Clarke's squad by the likes of teenage Premiership stars Lennon Miller and James Wilson, and has been impressed by what he has seen. Sturm Graz right back Max Johnston, 21, is another who has caught Robertson's eye, and he has high hopes that he will be watching them qualify for major tournaments long after he has hung up his boots. Speaking to the media on Thursday, the skipper said: 'I've seen them in training this week and they've been excellent. 'Max Johnson's come on, I can talk about fullbacks, he's come on so much in the time since his first camp here, and then to now he looks a hell of a lot more composed. 'He's filled out a bit defensively and looks excellent in training. Obviously, games are different from training, but that's what we can base it on just now. 'Lennon Miller was good in March, but he's been excellent this week in training, and now he looks comfortable, he looks happy, and James Wilson as well has been here a couple of times now, and I think he just keeps on growing. 'Then, understanding the standards and training and how difficult international football is is crucial, and I know from my experience that the younger I experienced it, the better it was. 'And then I just kind of grew into it, and so did John [McGinn], and we kind of did it together. And hopefully these lads can do it together. And maybe in ten years I can be watching them at a World Cup.'
