Fact check: Video shared on social media appears to have been filmed in Pakistan

The video appears to have been filmed in Pakistan, not in the UK.
It is unclear what might have made the social media user claim that the people in the video were in the UK.
There are immediate signs which suggest the video might not be filmed in the UK, chiefly the style of indoor architecture and the style of doors as well as the room having an air conditioner – something which is less common in the UK.
The video contains a TikTok watermark indicating the name of a TikTok user that it was uploaded by.
Looking at this user's profile reveals several videos which appear to have been taken at the same event. The videos also feature a man who appears to be the owner of the TikTok account and who appears in many of the account's videos.
The video which was posted with the caption on X is among those on the TikTok channel. On TikTok it is tagged as having been filmed in Peshawar, Pakistan.
The video was uploaded to TikTok on August 14 2024. Days earlier on August 8 the same TikTok profile uploaded a video taken outside in the street.
The PA news agency could not definitively find the location where the outside video was filmed, however the video includes a white car with a green number plate which bears a resemblance to government number plates used in Pakistan.
The PA news agency was able to clearly geolocate other videos posted by the same TikTok account to various places in Pakistan.
A reverse image search for a building seen in one of the videos shows that it is Gurdwara Rori Sahib, which is in Pakistan.
Another reverse image search reveals that the Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib – also in Pakistan – features in another one of the videos.

Sana had more than one million TikTok followers, reports the Mirror US. She used the platform to share comedy clips, lip-sync performances, skincare tips, and to promote beauty products. Her final post on both Instagram and TikTok, dated Monday June 2, captured her birthday celebrations in a montage featuring cake-cutting, time with friends, the venue, and the food enjoyed on her special day. The tragic passing of Sana has captured the hearts of her followers and netizens alike, prompting an outpouring of grief on her social media accounts. On her Instagram profile, Waliya Najib, a renowned Pakistani actress and social media influencer, penned a heartfelt message: "This doesn't feel real. You were glowing, just being 17. I'm so sorry this world didn't protect you. Rest in peace, sweetheart [broken-heart emoji]." Over on TikTok, legions of fans are inundating Sana's final post with calls for "justice" following her untimely demise. As reported by Human Rights Watch, the pervasive issue of violence against women and girls remains rampant across Pakistan, with activists estimating nearly 1,000 victims falling prey to heinous "honor killings" annually. In their declaration from December 2018, part of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan condemned patriarchal norms stating: "Patriarchy and the practices it gives rise to, in terms of seeing women's bodies and minds as property or as easy targets of violence, exploitation and abuse, has no place in any society that wishes to call itself civilised."

Searches for Madeleine McCann to continue in Portugal
On Tuesday, fresh searches for Madeleine began, as teams drained a well and cleared areas of dense vegetation near abandoned buildings in countryside a few miles from Praia da Luz.
