A group of Tesla owners in France are suing Tesla. These owners say they don't want their leased cars anymore because Tesla now feels like a symbol of extreme-right politics. Around 10 people are part of this lawsuit, according to the reports. They say Tesla is linked with Elon Musk's political views and actions, which makes them uncomfortable driving the cars. The customers are asking the Paris commercial court to end their lease contracts early and pay back their legal costs. They say they suffered "real and serious damage" because of this, according to the report by FRANCE 24.Elon Musk has been supporting Donald Trump and European far-right parties. He also made a gesture many people saw as a Nazi-like salute, which caused more criticism. Because of all this, the law firm says Tesla cars have become political symbols, not just eco-friendly cars like buyers expected, as per reports. The Tesla drivers feel embarrassed and say they can't enjoy using the car like before. Most of them have 4-year lease contracts, with an option to buy the car later. In Europe and other places, Tesla cars are being vandalized, and some drivers have been insulted just for owning one, as per the report by FRANCE 24.Some Tesla owners have put stickers on their cars that say things like "I bought this before Elon went crazy". Lawyer Patrick Klugman said this situation is totally unexpected for French Tesla buyers. He also said Musk's political opinions have spoiled the car experience for many people.Klugman added that Musk should make sure buyers get peaceful use of the cars they bought. Tesla has not responded to the media about this lawsuit yet, as per the reports. They say the cars now feel linked to far-right politics and they no longer feel comfortable driving them. They want to cancel their lease contracts and get legal costs paid back.

Temasek joins Microsoft, BlackRock and MGX to develop AI infrastructure
Temasek has joined a consortium backed by Microsoft , BlackRock and tech investment company MGX to invest and expand artificial intelligence infrastructure, according to BlackRock's investor day presentation slides on Thursday. The Singapore state investment company has joined AI Infrastructure Partnership , a group that also includes BlackRock's Global Infrastructure Partners, the slides showed. AIP, formed in September with a goal to initially invest more than $30 billion in AI-related projects, is one of the world's largest efforts to invest in data centres and energy facilities needed to power AI applications such as ChatGPT. It aims to mobilise up to $100 billion including debt financing for such investments, which will focus on the United States. Temasek's participation comes after the Kuwait Investment Authority joined AIP earlier in June. The sovereign wealth fund of Kuwait was the first non-founder financial anchor investor to join the consortium, which also counts partners including Nvidia and billionaire Elon Musk's xAI. "Temasek's investment in the AI Infrastructure Partnership reflects our focus on the big shifts and trends of the future," Ravi Lambah, Temasek's head of strategic initiatives, said in an email to Reuters. "AI is potentially the most transformative and impactful technology for all sectors and businesses," he added. Temasek did not disclose financial details of the investment. The global investment company had a net portfolio value of S$389 billion ($304 billion) as of March 31, 2024, according to its website.

'Everybody hates Russia but loves Germany and Japan': Donald Trump reflects on World War II in talks with Macron and Putin; calls it 'a strange world'
US President Donald Trump took a reflective turn on Thursday, steering a conversation back in time to the days of World War II. In remarks that blended history with surprise, Trump recounted recent conversations with French President and Russian President Vladimir Putin—both of which circled back to one of history's greatest conflicts. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now "Macron is a good man," Trump began, before describing how the French leader told him, 'We are celebrating World War II and our victory.' Trump said he responded with a smirk: "Your victory?"—a remark that seemed to play down France's role in the Allied win, despite being one of the key members of the coalition. He then shifted to Russia. Recalling a conversation with Putin, Trump said the Russian president emphasised the Soviet Union's immense sacrifice in the war. "Russia fought with us in WWII and everybody hates them," Trump quoted Putin as saying, mentioning that the USSR lost around 51 million people during the conflict. "And Germany and Japan, they're fine — someday somebody will explain that," Trump continued. "But I like Germany and Japan too. Everybody hates Russia and they love Germany and Japan… It's a strange world." Trump went on to express confusion and disappointment over what he sees as America's lack of commemoration for its role in the war. "We won World War II and World War I, right? We won them. And yet, we are the only country that doesn't celebrate. Everybody's celebrating and we should celebrate too," he said. During World War II, the United States was a major force within the Allied powers, which included the UK, the Soviet Union (successor - modern day Russia), and France. Together, they defeated the Axis powers -- Germany, Italy, and Japan.
