Nothing Bundt Cakes brings back fan favorite — but not for long. Here's what to know

Miami Herald18-03-2025

A Nothing Bundt Cakes fan favorite is back on the menu — for now.
Churro dulce de leche returned to bakery cases Monday, March 17, alongside the new churro de chocolate flavor, the Texas-based bakery chain said in a news release.
Made with cinnamon spice cake, the personal-size bundtlet is topped with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with a dulce de leche sauce, according to Nothing Bundt Cake's website.
'Our Churro Dulce de Leche has a special place in our guests' hearts, and when it returns, it sells out fast,' vice president of culinary innovation Claire Jessen said in the release.
The dessert is 'a nod to the classic Mexican' treat and has become one of the chain's most popular seasonal flavors since its 2023 debut, according to Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The new churro de chocolate cake is a twist on the original and is instead 'drizzled and filled' with chocolate sauce, a product description says.
Both flavors are available until April 6, while supplies last, per the bakery's website.

Museum in Seymour opens new wing with annual festival

SEYMOUR (KFDX/KJTL)— The Whiteside Museum of Natural History is celebrating the opening of a new museum expansion through their annual Permian Fest. This year's Permian Fest kicked off with the grand opening of the museum's new wing, which doubles the size of the original building. So, while families and prehistory enthusiasts could come and check out guest lectures and shop outside the museum, the views inside the building's new wing were another sight to behold. While Permian Fest is usually a big driver for fundraising on its own, the new wing is generating a lot of enthusiasm for the museum's future from the guests and museum staff, like assistant director Holly Simon. 'Locals here don't get to experience going to big museums, and our museum was definitely very popular with the local community,' Simon said. 'But now that we have a giant Ceratosaurus skeleton and a big mammoth skeleton, it's really cool that we get to bring that big city museum experience to the locals.' The expansion adds a total of 9,000 square feet to the museum's footprint, and the new space allows for reorganizations of old exhibits and the expansion of others. The new Bakker Dinosaur Hall and the Sundell Mammal Hall are two such examples. The fossil preparation lab also got a major expansion. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Food Truck Championship returns to Graham for the 10th year

GRAHAM (KFDX/KJTL)— The Food Truck Championship in Graham is all wrapped up after its 10th year in the city. The event has come a long way over its ten-year history with the city of Graham, and it's grown each year. For this year, trucks came from as far away as Lubbock and Oklahoma City while also saving some space for a few local favorites. As the festival grew each year, the town square it occupies was built up to accommodate the growing number of competing trucks. Now, Zach Balch, with Visit Graham, believes the city and the food truck industry are practically tied at the hip. 'We can now do miniature food truck festivals whenever we want to,' Balch said. 'We have a little stage over there that was gifted to us by some folks in our community and so the food truck has really become part of our culture and, dare I say, even the heritage now that it's ten years into it.' On top of all the fun with the food trucks, the championships were capped off with a free concert by musical artist John Weathers. After the dust settled from the competition, only one food truck was crowned as this year's champion, and that honor belongs to local favorite, Razzle's Italian Ice. Shaquille O'Neal hilariously crashes NBA Countdown set before Game 1

Sep 15, 2024; Arlington, Texas, USA; Former NBA player Shaquille O'Neal stands on the sidelines before a game between the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Tim Heitman-Imagn Images The post Shaquille O'Neal hilariously crashes NBA Countdown set before Game 1 appeared first on ClutchPoints. Shaquille O'Neal stole the spotlight before Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals with a surprise appearance on ESPN's NBA Countdown set, adding his signature humor ahead of the highly anticipated matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. Advertisement The unexpected moment comes just months before the full Inside the NBA ESPN move, where the big man and co-hosts Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith will join ESPN after decades on TNT. O'Neal's brief walk-on during NBA Countdown gave fans a preview of what's coming—a blend of unscripted comedy, chemistry, and unmatched charisma. As he entered the studio, O'Neal towered over analysts Stephen A. Smith, Malika Andrews, and Bob Myers. He leaned over desks, playfully jabbed at panelists, and even mocked a wrestling move on Kendrick Perkins. At one point, he turned to the camera with theatrical flair before signing off, leaving the entire panel—and the internet—buzzing. When posted, the video quickly went viral across social media. Fans praised the big man's timing and personality, saying it reminded them why Inside the NBA has been such a beloved show. This wasn't just a comedy bit—it was a teaser for how ESPN plans to inject new life into its studio programming. Advertisement The scene also followed a fiery sendoff during TNT's final Inside the NBA show, which aired after Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals—the show's last scheduled broadcast before the network transition. During the segment, O'Neal addressed the audience with a message of defiance and unity. 'The show is still here, baby. You can never kill the four horsemen.' The energy O'Neal brought to ESPN's set is exactly what fans can expect when the Inside crew makes its official debut next season. The move marks the end of an era, as TNT's relationship with the NBA dates back to 1989. Over the decades, the show became not just a show, but a cultural touchstone. Its relocation to ESPN reflects a massive shift in the league's media landscape—and expectations for what studio shows can be.
