Hundreds celebrate life of 19-year-old Jack Constable from Norton Fitzwarren

Yahooa day ago

HUNDREDS of people celebrated the life of 19-year-old Jack Constable at a "beautiful" funeral last month, with his parents announcing a memorial fund in his honour.
Over 425 people turned out to pay their respects to Jack, from Norton Fitzwarren, who died on April 10 after an 18-month fight with extremely rare Ewing Sarcoma cancer.
The service was held at Taunton Crematorium on May 9, with Silk Mills Road temporarily closed as a funeral procession led by 16 supercars travelled through Taunton, marking Jack's "passion for cars" — including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, and McLarens.
Katie Constable, Jack's mother, said: "It was such an amazing funeral, it was just lovely that everyone was there who should have been. On arrival at the crematorium, it was truly overwhelming as so many people had travelled from every direction to support us and, more importantly, to show their respect for Jack and the battle he endured with dignity and grace — including my best friend from Oz. Jack loved our family and his friends and everyone that supported us, he made everyone laugh with his quirky way, and constantly checked in on all around him."
She added: "Jack's four best friends and two cousins were pallbearers and carried him into his favourite drum and bass tune, Sweet Carolina. His other besties walked Jack in, and his beautiful girlfriend Poppy walked behind."
There were "no dry eyes" at Jack's final goodbye, which included a rendition of All Things Bright And Beautiful and readings from his girlfriend, Poppy Charles, 19, and friends Kira, Dave, and Fin. Katie wishes to share a "special thank you" to trumpeter Elliott Coles, who performed a "wonderful solo of Amazing Grace".
The service was then shown "35 pics of Jack's wonderful fulfilled life with everyone that mattered". Jack's adored dogs, two Blue Staffies, Ivy and Olive, attended the ceremony.
In his honour, Jack's parents are launching The Jack Constable Memory Fund, which will be the only UK charity dedicated to raising funds for the fight against Ewing Sarcoma cancer. Jack's charity will become his "legacy for eternity", Katie said. Donations can be made at www.gofundme.com/f/for-young-jacks-alternative-medical-support, with fundraising events planned.
Jack's parents, Katie and Jeremy Constable, said: "As the days and weeks pass, our hearts still in pieces with an emptiness never to be filled, we realise that keeping busy is the wisest option and still with so many wonderful friends holding fundraising events which will now go into The Jack Constable Memory Fund once up and running.
"This charity is super important as it will be the only Ewing sarcoma charity in the UK. Jem, myself and the incredible people we have surrounding us will forever more raise money to help other families not feel the pain from broken hearts as we are having to. So please help us with any ideas, and let's together continue to help others as this would be what our super kind-hearted son would want.
"We are grateful for all the money raised that helped Jack beyond words during his 18-month battle, and let's pull together and help as many others as possible."

What is Bop House on TikTok? Florida OnlyFans content creators make millions. What to know

A group of seven women who live in one Fort Lauderdale mansion are pulling in about $250 million a year by posting on OnlyFans and making lifestyle videos, to the tune of a collective 90 million people watching across social media platforms. They call themselves 'bops' and their content creation house the 'Bop House.' 'In a May 14 TikTok that's since racked up 4 million views, the house's residents dance in barely-there bodycon dresses in front of brightly lit signs spelling out 'BOPS,'' USA TODAY reported this week. 'They fly on private jets to the Super Bowl, own Porsches and Lamborghinis and rack up $4,000 dinner bills on a night out.' Here's what a 'bop' is, who lives in the Bop House and how much it costs to rent the waterfront home. Is it problematic? Online, young female OnlyFans stars make their lives look aspirational. A 'bop' is 'a term for a person who has had many sexual partners, or who presents themself online in a way that is thought of as immodest (such as posting pictures or video with revealing clothing),' according to Merriam-Webster's slang definition of the word. To some social media users, 'bop' also means 'baddie on point,' and to many TikTok users and creators, the slang word is nearly synonymous with 'sex worker.' The Bop House is 'your new favorite girls only influencer house,' according to the Bop House official TikTok account. The account is currently made up of seven women (at one point, eight women) who are all OnlyFans content creators and social media influencers. While their OnlyFans content is explicit and pornographic, their other social media accounts, like their shared TikTok account, focus on their general lifestyle and all the perks that come with making millions online. They've posted house tours of their ritzy Fort Lauderdale waterfront rental, participate in trending TikTok sounds and challenges and clear up drama surrounding their livelihoods and living situation. 'The name 'Bop House' nods to the Gen Z slang term 'bop,' meaning a woman who has had many sexual partners,' USA TODAY reported. 'Many of their videos poke fun at the term, and they respond to commenters saying they should 'get a real job.'' Alina Rose, one of the Bop House members, told USA TODAY that her critics partly inspired her to move into a house with other content creators. 'They're going to call us bops no matter what,' she told USA TODAY. So she decided to lean into it with like-minded women. And the venture has been profitable, helping the women find financial freedom. But it also comes with drawbacks, like the danger of glamorizing the adult content creating lifestyle to young girls who may be watching their videos. Sophie Rain, the 20-year-old who co-founded the Bop House in December 2024, told USA TODAY that she grew up in a big family that relied on food stamps and is now their primary breadwinner, earning $43 million in her first year. 'She paid off her parents' mortgage and $15,000 in property taxes and gifted her older brother his dream car, a BMW M2, with her salary,' USA TODAY reported. 'Rain considers herself a feminist, and hopes the Bop House will help de-stigmatize adult entertainment creators. Still, every now and then, she hesitates to press 'post' knowing how young girls might interpret her videos.' The residents of the Bop House have come and gone, at one point having eight members and now having seven. Sophie Rain founded the house with Aishah Sofey. Camilla Araujo, Alina Rose, Summer Iris, Ava Reyes and Julia Filippo also currently live in the house. They use the high-end home as the backdrop to their OnlyFans and social media content. The Bop House has changed locations a few times, due to the address being leaked and endangering the women that live there. One of the women's most recent houses is in an Intracoastal neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. According to the Broward County Property Appraiser, the Fort Lauderdale home is worth around $6 million. The women have also recently lived in a multi-million dollar home overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami. Whichever home they're in now, it has a steep rent, at $75,000 a month – not as huge a sum as it seems when split between seven women who each make a few million a year. The content creators told USA TODAY that they make around $250 million a year collectively. Days of Our Lives Recap: How Does Cat Know Sami?

Days of Our Lives Recap: How Does Cat Know Sami? originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: The Spectator: Chad arrives as Leo works on John Black's obituary. Leo suddenly remembers today is the day of Chad's skydiving date with Cat. He is terrified which sends Leo into one of his stories, which does Chad no good. They discuss the feelings Cat had for Chad and Leo wonders if she's still holding on to hope. He suggests Chad cancel the date for both their sakes. Leo is on the phone with the copy editor talking about the integrity of his work when Jack walks in and gets snarky. Leo says a lot has changed since Jack has been gone. He is now a legitimate journalist. Jack knows and says Leo is doing a good job with his work. Leo is thrilled by the compliment and Jack notes he is quite the asset to the paper. The mood changes when Jack says Leo's mother must be proud. Jack knows Diana has changed so much since she sold him The Spectator. Leo stops him as he remembers Jack blackmailed his mother into the 'sale.' Jack smiles as he knows Leo speaks the truth. He wonders if Diana knows her son is a reporter at the paper which was once hers. Leo thought about going by the prison to tell his mother about John but can't deal with the drama and abuse. Jack recalls Diana making him think John was his father. Leo says he should have known a man like John couldn't have been his father. Jack says they are not defined by their parents. It takes courage to change, and Jack says he has it in droves. Leo thanks Jack for his kind words. Before he leaves, he asks if Jack has heard from Gwen. They both admit they haven't, and Jack seems genuinely pained she is still in the wind. Leo leaves a message for Marlena to say how sorry he is about John's passing. Just then, young Douglas arrives. Leo says he's had no time to track down Julie's necklace. Doug says he's had no luck with Melinda. That being said, the necklace is the least of his problems as his life is imploding. Hernandez House: Gabi finds a distraught Arianna Grace not eating her food. She just can't get over the death of her Grandpa John. She just saw her dad who is not thrilled with her living under the same roof as Leo Stark. Arianna goes on to say how strange and kind of sweet it is that Leo keeps giving her Celine Dion cds, as if she ever owned a cd player. Gabi just thinks he is trying to make an effort. Gabi brings up her daughter's disappearing act and the two begin to fight. Just then, Rafe returns and embraces his niece. Rafe has returned early from FBI training to attend John's funeral. Arianna Grace leaves and Gabi fills Rafe in on her daughter's shenanigans. He thinks she's making a mountain out of a mole hill. Gabi worries she no longer knows her own daughter. With that, Rafe embraces his sister. They switch to talking about Rafe's new job which leads him to mention the stolen memory stick. He reminds his sister that the memory stick would most likely reveal EJ's shooter. Gabi thinks it's obvious Leo is the culprit. Rafe wonders what Leo has to gain from stealing the memory stick. Gabi thinks it's obviously a tool for blackmail. Rafe gets it but wonders why he isn't using it and is still pointing the finger at her. He thinks Leo is actually telling the truth, especially since he now fancies himself an investigative reporter. Gabi admits he probably couldn't pass up revealing the shooter in print. Rafe thinks it's time for him to tell Jada about the memory stick. Gabi worries he's not ready for that confrontation. He says this evidence is way more important than their relationship issues. He asks Gabi if she is 100% certain there is nothing that would incriminate her on the memory stick. Brady Pub: Young Douglas is on the phone with the loan shark goons because he has missed two payments. Just then, Holly arrives followed by Arianna Grace. Doug freaks out and heads back behind the bar. Arianna heads to the bar to get flirty with Doug when Holly approaches and hugs Arianna. Doug freaks out a bit as he realizes the two women in his life are very familiar with one another. Arianna Grace explains she returned home recently which turned out to be good timing as her grandfather just passed away. Holly freaks out when she realizes she's talking about John. Very quickly, she excuses herself and makes her exit. Young Douglas makes the connection in Holly and Arianna Grace's ages and questions how they met in a bar. She says she has a fake idea and then he nervously makes sure she is actually of legal age. He heaves a sigh of relief when he learns they slept together the night of her birthday. She says she would really like to see him again and Doug is totally on board. Outside, someone takes a picture of their encounter. With that, she makes her exit and Doug takes a 30-minute break. Marlena and John's Penthouse: Tate answers the door and doesn't recognize Cat. She introduces herself as Marlena's assistant. He knows all about her as Aaron is his bestie. She tries to explain but Tate says it's water under the bridge. Cat says how wonderful Marlena has been to her and wants to show her support. Just then, she sees a picture of Samantha Gene and notes just how familiar she seems. Cat crosses to the photograph and Tate says she is his Aunt Sami. Cat says maybe she just reminds her of someone else. She then sees a picture of John and she says they were in Poplar Bluff at the same time. She always wanted to thank him for helping with their mother and grandmother's escape. Tate notes he was a hero to a lot of people. Tate gets choked up and excuses himself. Left alone, Cat pulls the picture of John off the mantle and says how sorry she is. Tate is looking at a picture of his grandfather when Holly arrives. She says she just heard and embraces him. Holly wanted to make certain he was ok as she still cares about him. Tate is confused as he thought she was pretty cozy with young Douglas. Holly says they are just friends. He apologizes for what he did to Doug and says he misses her. Holly says his father sort of told her the same. The truth is she really missed him, too. Just then, Tate gets a text from Sophia who is on her way over. Horton House: Julie is ordering flowers or Marlea when Jack and Jennifer Rose arrive home. She embraces them both but wishes they hadn't returned for another sad occasion. Jack notes they have some good news to celebrate, and they discuss Bo's recovery. Jack decides to run over to The Spectator and heads out. Julie and Jennifer Rose take a seat. JRo asks how she's doing. Julie says her grief counseling with Marlena was going well until her wedding anniversary rolled around and Bo was dying and now, they've lost John. She has now begun to feel the grief all over again. JRo wants to support her, and Julie says how grateful she is for their arrival. Julie and JRo catch up on young Douglas and how she kicked him out. Julie says Doug was no angel himself, but he never lied to her. They chat about the necklace and JRo says she is using all of her contacts to try and locate the necklace. Just then, Julie gets a notification and says she promised Marlena she would pick up her dry cleaning before the funeral. She hates to leave JRo and says Chad will be home soon if he survived his skydiving date with Cat. JRo is rightfully surprised and annoyed by this turn of events. Horton Square: Cat and Chad meet up. She doesn't want him to do anything with which he is uncomfortable and is cool if he wants to back out. Chad says he is totally in as he thinks they should do something every day that scares them. They get all kinds of adorably cute with one another as they prepare to make the jump. Kat says after her accident she was in a deep depression and going skydiving made her feel alive again (I had totally forgotten about the accident. I wonder if that's the connection to Sami). Endings Tate apologizes saying they have a labor and delivery tour at the hospital. He asks Holly if they could continue their conversation another time. She agrees and they exchange kind words before she exits. Young Douglas tells Leo everything about Arianna Grace and Holly, as well as the loan shark who continues to harass him. Leo gets real and says he can pursue two women at the same time as long as they don't find out. Further, he needs to find a way to make some quick money as loan sharks are no joke. A photographer watches Arianna Grace and continues to take pictures. Gabi admits to going to the DiMera estate the night of the shooting but promises she didn't even see EJ that night. She only heard him arguing with someone. She wonders if the shooter actually broke into their home and took the evidence. Cat says they should head over to the airfield but Chad is stuck, until she pulls him away. Jennier Rose is furious about the Cat and Chad situation when Jack returns. Coronation Street legend accidentally reveals Emmerdale crossover spoiler

A Coronation Street legend seems to have accidentally revealed a major Emmerdale crossover episode spoiler, which is set to air next year. Jack P Shepherd who has played the iconic character of mischievous David Platt since 2000 has teased he could be taking part in the Corrie and Emmerdale special. The Celebrity Big Brother winner appears to be the first soap star to "confirm" their involvement in the one-hour segment, announced by ITV last month. When catching up with Digital Spy at the British Soap Awards recently, Jack let slip the exciting news on the red carpet. When the actor was asked if he will be involved in the 'unprecedented' episode, which will see characters from both soaps come together in a celebration of the soap genre, he 'confidently' replied: "Yes!" But Jack's Weatherfield co-star Ben Price (David's brother Nick Tilsley), interrupted: "Are you meant to say that?" Jack responded: "I don't know!" Ben then advised his on-screen sibling not to give any details away, to which Jack continued: "I don't know if I am. Not for a fact, I don't. 'The big key hitters, I think they might have been told. There's rumours – and I'm sniffing that I might be in the periphery." He then joked: "With my Yorkshire accent. I think I'm in it, talking Yorkshire and they're like: 'Where are you from? Are you from Bradford?'" Jack's soap tease might be the news some viewers have been wanting for, as one posted on X: "corrie and emmerdale crossover episode. I need david platt & ross barton , charity & tracy , mandy & carla oh the possibilities." The "mash-up" of two of the nation's most beloved soaps is set to air on ITV next year and will be the first of its kind in British soap history. It will mark the broadcaster's new 'power hour' of soap which begins on ITV1 and STV in January 2026. ITV said the producers, scriptwriters and production teams have 'conceived an ingenious way of linking the two universes, but with characters then returning to the soaps they are renowned for inhabiting in Manchester and Yorkshire'. This month, Corrie and Emmerdale fans will be given the chance to vote for two characters (one from each soap) that they would like to see interact in a scene. Details will be launched in June via Coronation Street and Emmerdale's Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts, so keep an eye out if you want to get involved.
