Princess Catherine was an absolute vision in red this morning as she made her way to Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration.
The Princess of Wales rewore a favorite dress of hers for the occasion, a stunning candy apple-red coat dress by Catherine Walker with a big, pretty bow adorning the collar and large buttons running down the front. It was the same piece that she wore to the carol service at Westminster Abbey in December of 2021.
Kate made the sophisticated look monochrome with her accessories, which included bright-red suede Gianvito Rossi pumps, a matching silky, rectangular clutch, and a circular fascinator with a rose detail.
She also gave a nod to the late Queen Elizabeth II by way of her jewelry: a four-strand pearl necklace with a diamond-embellished clasp at the center, and pearl drop earrings.
Next to her, William was his dapper self in a navy suit, white shirt, and navy-and-burgundy patterned tie, to coordinate with his wife's ensemble. He finished his look with black dress shoes, and brought back his scruff.
In photos from inside the church service, Kate and William look so in love as they share smiles and laughs.
As Harper's Bazaar has reported, Kate is slowly returning to her royal duties after getting confirmation that she is now in remission from cancer. The princess spent much of last year being treated for a form of cancer, and therefore stepped away from the spotlight as she recovered. 'It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support,' she said in a statement this January.

William to address Monaco forum in bid to help world's oceans

The Prince of Wales will travel to the South of France this weekend to call for more to be done to protect the world's oceans. In what his team describes as a "landmark speech" in Monaco on Sunday - World Oceans Day - he will address environmentalists and, crucially, investors, to urge them to work together to protect our oceans Prince William will attend the Blue Economy and Finance Forum as founder of the Earthshot environmental prize which looks for solutions to the world's climate challenges. The forum is the curtain-raiser to the UN Oceans Conference in Nice next week. "The Prince of Wales feels passionately about action being taken to protect and restore our oceans," a Kensington Palace spokesperson told the BBC. "Tomorrow, he's going to be calling for swift, immediate global action. The time is now." Rising temperatures, pollution and overfishing are causing huge damage to the world's oceans and the communities that rely on them. Events this weekend will look at the role oceans play in global trade, food security and sustainable energy. The meeting will be held at the Grimaldi Forum, an eye-catching steel and glass venue, named after Monaco's own royal family. Prince Albert II of Monaco is a supporter of many oceans projects and is a key player at the forum. "This event will be more than a forum. It will provide an unique opportunity to bring together decision makers, finance professionals, philanthropists, NGOs and players from the private sector to turn ambition into action," he says. William announces Earthshot winners in Cape Town William returns to 'special place' Africa for prize awards 'Smaller R in royal' - Prince William wants to do things differently Last month, Sir David Attenborough's new film, Oceans, was released in cinemas. It gave his lifelong perspective on the value of oceans. "After living for nearly 100 years on this planet," he says "I now understand that the most important place on earth is not on land but at sea and today we are living in the greatest age of ocean discovery." The film places the oceans as being at a crossroads, needing more action to help them continue as the "planet's support system". Prince William shares that view. He has made his admiration for Sir David, who was an inspiration for the creation of the Earthshot Prize, clear. Sir David's storytelling around the environment is a powerful asset in getting public attention and buy in – something the prince is acutely aware of. The visit to France is an insight into how Prince William sees his role in the environmental space and part of his development as a global statesman. Also attending the forum in Monaco will be France's President Emmanuel Macron and President Rodrigo Roblez of Costa Rica. Why Monaco? Because, over the coming days, gathered in this wealthy, tax haven, amid the super yachts and holidaying multi-millionaires, is some serious cash and investors willing to spend it on protecting marine life and the oceans they live in. The prince's speech and meetings will largely be in public on Sunday. But he will also hold a closed, private session with experts and the investor community. It's a pragmatic approach to using his royal soft power to draw in people who have the resources to help generate change. Throughout his life, the King has used his platform to bring the conversation about the environment into the mainstream. His son is now building on that, in his own way, to try to show that environmental solutions are worth the investment. And the oceans can be a difficult sell. The sheer scale of the work that needs to be done can make it less attractive to investors. "I have a job that should not exist" is how Sam Teicher, the co-founder and chief reef officer of CoralVita often begins his pitches. His business was the first winner of the million-pound Earthshot prize in 2021 for solutions to repair and protect oceans. CoralVita grows corals to restore dying reefs. Of this year's Earthshot nominations, only 9% have entered the "Revive Our Oceans" category. "We are land creatures, it is out of sight and out of mind for a lot of people," says Sam Teicher. He will be in Monaco this weekend and describes his approach to raising money for his business as "trying to harness capitalism for good", stressing that "you need to be genuine and maintain integrity, you don't want to blue wash or green wash". And that strategy is working. The BBC has learnt that CoralVita has just won funding of about £6m ($8.1m) with investors led by Builders Vision – a philanthropic organisation created by Lukas Walton, whose grandparents founded the Walmart chain in the United States. It is one of the biggest funding offers for oceans work and will mean CoralVita can scale up and accelerate its restoration projects to help preserve the ocean's biodiversity. The investment power of Builders Vision will now also support the Earthshot Prize in a newly announced partnership. It again highlights the impact Prince William can have in linking up environmental solutions with investors. The Prince William factor has been a huge benefit to CoralVita as it works to scale up its business. "He helps getting in front of people who would normally not think it was investible or that it mattered," says Mr Teicher. "We need to expand out to bankers, government leaders, tech specialists. He gets more people around the table." And ultimately this is an event where money matters. For Mr Teicher the target is always the right type of investor. "We aren't looking for people wanting a traditional five to seven year return," he says. "This is a long-haul problem. We need people in it for the long haul." Does 'John Wick 5' Come Next After 'Ballerina'?

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." THE franchise is going strong. Now spanning five movies and a TV series (and counting), it's clear that this is not only a violent, unique, and action-packed world, but one with just about endless possibilities. In fact, the latest film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (or, as we'll refer to it to avoid that clunky title, Ballerina) is proof that the franchise can explore new ground and succeed even without the titular Mr. Wick himself. Sure, Keanu Reeves is in the movie, but the main character is Ana de Armas's Eve—and watching her kick ass in a Wick-esque manner should fill any Keanu-size holes in your heart in the meantime. It's clear that the Wick franchise will continue from here—it's just unknown in what direction. This is a series and brand that's now been making Lionsgate lots of money for over a decade, and with multiple recognizable stars in the fold, there are a bunch of ways things could go. For example, we know that we could do another John Wick movie, and now it seems more than possible that we could do another Ballerina movie. But there's also a spinoff film coming on the John Wick: Chapter 4 character Caine, played by Donnie Yen, which will also star Rina Sawayama's Akira (Yen will also direct). We've already gone down the road of a prequel; the little-watched limited series The Continental focused on the exploits of a younger Winston (Ian McShane). So that's probably not a road that will particularly be gone down, though Wick director Chad Stahelski and McShane don't think particularly highly of it. So maybe don't rule out some kind of re-do. Again: the possibilities do feel kind of endless. But we know the primary question that everyone is going to be asking after Ballerina—will we be getting John Wick 5? And at this time we do seem to have a pretty definitive answer. From the World of John Wick: Ballerina is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. It picks up the character of "The Director," played by Angelica Huston, who was introduced in Chapter 3, and, perhaps most notably, includes Keanu Reeves as played by John Wick. This is the key part of the equation, considering John Wick dies at the end of Chapter 4. That would seem to signify a closed book, right? But as we've established, the possibilities in this world are pretty endless. Most likely. Despite the titular character's death at the end of John Wick: Chapter 4, Lionsgate officially announced that John Wick 5 was in the works at this year's CinemaCon back in April. That being said, director Chad Stahelski is still a little apprehensive that the film will actually get made—because he wants to make sure it's as good as it can possibly be. "Look, everybody seems to want it," he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "It's a matter of whether we crack it. We're actively working on it. It's just … is it going to be satisfying?" Throughout the conversation Stahelski repeatedly suggested that while they're early in the process on John Wick 5, it's still just that—early in the process. And that he hasn't even officially brought the idea to Reeves yet. Stahelski is meticulous, and holds himself to a high standard. And so he doesn't want to proceed with something until it's actually ready to proceed. "If we go down the road of John Wick 5 and build this story and decide this isn't right, there are probably going to be 10 other things we'll discover that we'll use for other things," he says. Which implies it still could not happen. But, he says, sooner or later, it probably will. "The studio would very much will it into existence, I'm sure, at some point," he says. "Look, they've been great and they've asked us to really try and we have a really good couple of ideas and we're going to try." But still, they are very early on. And it seems like for now the Caine spinoff, which has Donnie Yen attached to star and direct, Rina Sawayama attached to reprise her Akira character, and Mattson Tomlin attached to write, is much further along in production, and will certainly come first. Now that much truly remains to be seen. But it would feel like kind of a missed opportunity if it didn't, right? Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas are both bona fide movie stars, and scenes between the two of them are action magic. Let's say Wick 5 opens up with John Wick fighting his way up from hell. Might be a little tricky for him to meet up with Eve down there, but once he gets back to the surface, it feels like a pretty good bet that we'll see these two together (and with guns at each other's throats) again.
