Washington State Patrol issues MIPA alert for Lummi Nation woman missing since January
The Washington State Patrol on Thursday issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert (MIPA) for Besalynn James, 62, of Bellingham, on behalf of the Lummi Nation Police Department.
According to the alert, James was last seen in Bellingham Jan. 21, when she was wearing black pants, a black puffy jacket, white sneakers and a black stocking cap.
James is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding James' location is asked to call 911. The case number is 25100487.

Troopers: Driver arrested for DUI after smashing into barrier in Burien
Troopers with Washington State Patrol arrested a driver Sunday morning accused of driving under the influence. It happened around 6 a.m. on SR 518 near Burien. Moses Lake man dies in rollover crash near Vantage Bridge
May 31—A 29-year-old Moses Lake man died after losing control on a turn on Interstate 90 and State Route 26, rolling the car Saturday near the Vantage Bridge on the Columbia River, according to the Washington State Patrol. At about 9:10 a.m., Dakota A. Lazier was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry east on I-90 on the ramp from westbound State Route 26, according to a WSP news release. He failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and went off the road, rolled and came to rest down an embankment. Lazier, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

Three girls missing in Wenatchee
The Wenatchee Police Department is asking for help locating three missing girls, last seen with their father during a planned visitation. Their father, Travis Decker has been homeless and living in his vehicle, various hotels and motels, or at campgrounds in the area. The visitation was part of Decker's parenting plan, but he has yet to bring the children back at a time agreed upon in the plan. There is no active Amber Alert for the missing girls, but there is an Endangered Missing Person Alert (EMPA) with Washington State Patrol.
