The Bellbrook Police Department said many residents have been recently contacted by either 'the Court' or 'Bellbrook Police,' according to a social media post.

The caller claims it is regarding unpaid fines or court costs.
'If you receive a phone call demanding payment, hang up! It is a scam!' the Bellbrook Police said on its Facebook page.
They stated that the department and Greene County courts will never call regarding unpaid fines or fees.
Bellbrook Police said you should never discuss bank information or personal data when unknown callers.

Prosecutors set to present evidence against man charged with hate crime in Boulder attack
DENVER (AP) — Federal prosecutors are expected to lay out their evidence on Wednesday against a man who told investigators he was driven by a desire 'to kill all Zionist people' when he threw Molotov cocktails at demonstrators raising awareness of Israeli hostages. Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, is scheduled to appear in federal court in Denver for a preliminary hearing on a hate crime charge stemming from the June 1 attack in Boulder. Investigators say he planned it for a year. He has also been charged in state court in Boulder with attempted murder and assault counts as well as crimes related to the 18 other Molotov cocktails police say he did not use. Soliman is represented by public defenders in both federal and state court who do not comment on their cases to the media. Federal authorities say Soliman, an Egyptian national, has been living in the U.S. illegally. Investigators say Soliman told them he had intended to kill all of the roughly 20 participants at the weekly demonstration on Boulder's popular Pearl Street pedestrian mall, but he threw just two of his 18 Molotov cocktails while yelling 'Free Palestine.' Soliman told investigators he tried to buy a gun but was not able to because he was not a 'legal citizen.' Cops are searching for an elderly cane-wielding goon who bashed a helpless woman wearing traditional Jewish garb at a Brooklyn subway station in an apparent antisemitic attack. 'Stupid b–tch. Go back to your country,' the cowardly thug snapped at the woman at the Kings Highway and East 16 Street subway station shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, according to the NYPD. Man arrested on suspicion of antisemitic attack in S.F.'s Marina charged with hate crime
A man suspected of punching and kicking another man in San Francisco's Marina District in an antisemitic attack was charged Tuesday with assault and hate crime allegations, the District Attorney's Office said. Juan Diaz-Rivas, 36, faces two counts of assault, with allegations that the attack was a hate crime and caused serious injuries to the victim. Diaz-Rivas remained jailed Tuesday afternoon. He was arrested after the attack, which occurred on Fillmore Street near Moulton Street around 2:20 a.m. Friday. The victim and friend were sitting on a curb waiting for an Uber after a night out when a man started shouting, 'F— Jews, free Palestine,' the friend, Alana Gans, 28, told the Chronicle in an interview Sunday. When Gans told the man she was Jewish and asked him to leave, the man walked over and said, 'F— you,' Gans recounted. When she stood up, so did her friend, who got in between her and the man, Gan said. The other men recorded on their cellphones, laughed and shouted, 'F— Jews,' too, Gans said. As she tried to pull her friend's arm to walk away, the group sucker-punched and kicked her friend on the ground. The men also pushed to the ground and kicked an employee from the nearby Balboa Cafe who tried to intervene, Gans said, adding that the attack lasted about 30 seconds. According to prosecutors, the victim fell to the ground, hit his head and lost consciousness. Gans said her friend suffered a swollen lip, as well as two bumps on the front of his head and a third on the back of his head. The assailants ran away, only to return and yell, 'F— those Jews,' Gans said. When officers showed up, she pointed them out. Police said a second suspect was cited for battery and released. It was unclear Tuesday whether he was charged in connection with the attack.
