'Won't equate perpetrators of evil with victims': Jaishankar reiterates stance on terrorism; thanks UK for condemning Pahalgam attack

on Saturday reiterated India's stance against
terrorism
and said that the nation would never equate the perpetrators of
Pahalgam terror attack
with their victims. He also thanked United Kingdom government for condemning the April 22 attack that killed 26.
"We practice a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and expect our partners to understand it," he said, speaking at his meeting with UK foreign secretary David Lammy. "We will never countenance perpetrators of evil being put at par with its victims."
"I thank the Government of the United Kingdom for the strong condemnation of the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam in the Union Territory of
Jammu and Kashmir
and for your solidarity and support to India in the fight against terrorism.
We practice a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and expect our partners to understand it," he added.
Furthermore, Jaishankar hailed the India-UK FTA as a milestone that will boost trade and strengthen bilateral ties.
"The recent conclusion of the India-UK FTA and the Double Contribution Convention is truly a milestone. It will not only propel our two-way trade and investment but will also have a positive effect on other strategic aspects of our bilateral ties.

Nagpur: Water supply across several parts of the city will be disrupted on Monday, June 9, due to two major shutdowns planned by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). Though both are technical operations related to power and pipeline systems, the resulting impact will primarily be on the city's water pumping and distribution. MSEDCL has scheduled a five-hour shutdown, from 10am to 3pm, of the 33 kV NMC feeder that powers the Navegaon Khairi raw water pumping station for maintenance work on the 33 kV overhead line running from the 132 kV Manser substation to Parsheoni. The outage will affect water pumping to multiple zones. Water supply could be interrupted or there could low pressure supply in parts of Laxmi Nagar, Dharampeth, Hanuman Nagar, Dhantoli, Nehru Nagar, Gandhibagh, Satranjipura, Ashi Nagar and Mangalwari zones. Major areas likely to be affected include Pratap Nagar, Jaitala, Ram Nagar, Dabha, Seminary Hills, Civil Lines, Hudkeshwar, Reshimbagh, Sakkardara, Sitabuldi Fort, Jaripatka and Raj Nagar.
