We're not completely heartless when it comes to General Hospital's Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Don't get us wrong, we were happy to see the judge in her custody battle with Michael (Rory Gibson) side with the Corinthos/Quartermaine heir. Heck, she's been infuriating as she continues to follow the deplorable Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) down every wrong turn. But her complete breakdown in court was still gut-wrenching to watch.
As General Hospital viewers know, in the episode that aired on June 12, things got so bad that Willow wound up fainting and being taken to the hospital. There, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) told Willow she'd be getting a psych evaluation.
Speaking of the hospital, it's believed that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), along with baby Daisy, are still there. That makes complete sense, considering Sasha just recently gave birth, and both mother and daughter are likely recovering.
With all that being said, we can't help but feel as if the powers that be at General Hospital are laying the groundwork for history repeating itself. Years ago, Willow's mother, Nina (Cynthia Watros), suffered from a mental breakdown of her own and stole Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Ava's (Maura West) daughter, Avery. Is it possible that so completely distraught after losing custody of her children, Willow takes a page out of Nina's book and kidnaps baby Daisy? Sure it is.
If our theory proves true, Willow would cause a widespread panic throughout Port Charles, and she'd have every powerful family in town hunting her down. Literally, the Scorpios, the Spencers, the Quartermaines and the Corinthos clans are all connected to the newborn. And if Willow commits the kidnapping, we have to think about how this would all come to an end. Would Nina find her daughter first to talk some sense into her? Would the voice of reason somehow become Drew?
Should Willow turn to a life of crime due to this custody outcome, we suspect her criminal tenure will ultimately end with her spending a stint at Shadybrook Sanitarium or Ferncliff Asylum. But that may be for the best. Not for nothing, Willow probably should get to the bottom of how she became so susceptible to Drew's callous manipulation in the first place.
On a final note, we hate to disparage anyone's skills as a mother (even in the soap world), but Nina should feel guilty here. She could have helped stop this Drew trainwreck if she had just been honest about him with her daughter. So it bears asking: 'Was Carly (Laura Wright) right, and is Nina a bad mother?'
New episodes of General Hospital air on weekdays on ABC. If you miss an episode, you can catch up on Hulu.

Stephen A. Smith fires back at ‘flaming hypocrite' Charles Barkley after overexposure critique

ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith always finds a way to make headlines, and his latest came after he called out Charles Barkley for being a 'flaming hypocrite' over the former NBA star's critique of Smith's oversaturation in the media as of late. Smith has been a hard man to miss with appearances on various political talk shows, a guest spot on daytime soap opera 'General Hospital,' and a cameo on 'Law & Order.' Advertisement But Smith didn't take too kindly to Barkley's advice that essentially less is more and used the recent edition of his self-titled show, 'The Stephen A. Smith Show,' to respond to Barkley, who he described as a 'brother' and a person who is 'as real and as authentic as it gets.' Stephen A. Smith called out Charles Barkley for being a 'flaming hypocrite.' Stephen A. Smith Show/YouTube 'That's my guy, but that doesn't mean I always agree with him. And it doesn't mean that I'm devoid of the right to call him a flaming hypocrite when it's called upon,' Smith said. 'Do y'all know how many commercials Charles Barkley does a year? He'll tell us two. Have you seen Charles Barkley in two commercials? Are you kidding me? Oh, by the way, the cat that you work with at least twice a week during the NBA season is Shaquille O'Neal. Advertisement 'Can we count the amount of endorsements he has? How often he's seen everywhere? What new product he's pitching? Did you say that about him? No, you didn't. But when it comes to me, I need to be 'careful.'' There is certainly a case to be made that Smith is on people's television screens too much, and that's without making mention of the buzz, some of which has been hyped by Smith himself, about the ESPN talker running for president. Charles Barkley has been critiquing Smith's oversaturation in the media as of late, critics claim. Boston Globe via Getty Images Though Smith took aim at Barkley and his criticism, he had a simple message for his soon-to-be ESPN colleague as 'Inside the NBA' will move to the network next season. 'Charles Barkley, you continue to do the great job that you've been doing at TNT, and next year, it'll start at ESPN,' Smirh said. 'And let Shaq market the hell out of himself the way that he does significantly better than anybody on this planet. And let me do what I do.'

General Hospital Recap: Lulu Refuses to Apologize to Brook Lynn

General Hospital Recap: Lulu Refuses to Apologize to Brook Lynn originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's General Hospital recap: Jason and Sonny discuss what happened at the custody hearing. Sonny brings up the issue with Natalia and how she's becoming a problem. Sonny says some of the money he invested in Deception wasn't clean. He tells Jason about Natalia's DUI and how ADA Turner will use it and and involve the Feds. Sonny says he can't let Natalia make that deal but says she's been good to him. He's grateful Natalia came to him and doesn't want her hurt. Drew talks to Martin, asking if they can appeal. He's desperate for Willow to get her children back. He says an appeal won't change the outcome and reminds Drew that Willow took Wylie to DC without Michael's permission. Martin points out Michael going for treatment did not mean he abandoned his kids. He says trying to appeal will only cause Willow more pain. Martin is still surprised because these cases tend to end in joint and not full custody with no visitation. He's certain Michael will be fair and make some arrangements with Willow, but Drew says Michael won't give in with him still around. Drew says if he ends things with Willow, it means Michael will give her access to the kids. He asks if Willow could be better off without him. Afterwards, Drew summons Jason to deliver a proposal to Michael. Tracy tells Brook Lynn to give up her vendetta on Lulu. Brook Lynn says Lulu hurt her and if it was anyone else, Tracy would be at war. Tracy says she wants Brook Lynn to heal. Anna and Molly discuss Natalia's DUI case and Anna wonders why ADA Turner took it, which surprises Molly. Marco thanks Alexis for helping his mother with her case. When Natalia arrives, she's upset with Marco for summoning her and says the ADA offered her a deal. Alexis says it's best if she has legal representation and Natalia tells her Turner wants everything she knows about Sonny. Alexis says she has to recuse herself since Sonny is Kristina's father. After she leaves, Marco tells Natalia to divulge everything she knows. Natalia says she has everything on a hard drive and is supposed to give it to Turner. Marco says he's more concerned about Natalia's safety and doesn't want to see her hurt. Natalia says Sonny would never hurt her. Dante is cold to Chase when he gets into work and Chase wonders if they'll be able to work together. Chase says he has a case that Dante can't work on, and he's to report to ADA Turner. Dante realizes it has to do with Sonny and asks Anna about it. Anna says Turner assigned it to Chase and she can't do anything about it. She is surprised Dante is being so hostile with Chase. Dante says his whole life changed the night of the ball, but Anna says he can't bring that negativity to work. Dante says Chase knew for months and didn't tell him or convince Brook Lynn. He says he doesn't know if he can trust Chase now. Anna says she understands Brook Lynn's position having kept Robin from Robert. She says it's not that clear cut and says Robert did his best not to focus on what he couldn't change. Anna says Dante needs to keep things professional. Dante tells Chase that he should have told him about the baby. Chase says he was honoring his wife's wishes. The two argue until Anna breaks it up. Tracy summons Alexis and says she has the solution to their Drew problem. She says as Scout's grandmother she can sue Drew for custody. Alexis says Scout loves her father and Sam believed him to be a good father. She doesn't want to mess with Scout's life any more than it already is. Alexis tells Tracy to find another way because she won't let her use Scout. Tracy brings up the Ketamine charges, so Alexis tells her to apologize to Drew. Natalia tells Sonny what she told Marco and promises they're in this together. Sonny offers to send her to Belize, with a new identity but she's hesitant. He says he'll make sure she's protected and will have a great life. Molly stops by to see Alexis but finds Marco who wants to discuss Natalia's case. She says ADA Turner is in charge. Marco asks for advice on how to deal with Justine. Lulu stops by Maxie's who brings up the Gio mess, but Lulu doesn't think she did anything wrong. Maxie says Lulu messed with Gio's memories of his mother and hurt him in the process. Lulu says she isn't the one who lied all these years but Maxie says it wasn't her secret to tell. Lulu says she knows what it's like to miss a part of her child's life. Maxie says in order for everyone to move forward, Lulu needs to take accountability. Lulu puts the blame on Lois and Gladys. Brook Lynn shows up and gets angry to see Lulu and the two argue until Maxie tells them to both shut their pie holes. Maxie says they needed to be in the same room to hash it out. She says it's affecting everyone they love. Maxie tells them to put their anger aside so everyone can heal. Brook Lynn says she'll accept Lulu's apology, but Lulu says she only owes Gio one. She says she's not sorry for what she did to Brook Lynn. Keep checking back for the latest General Hospital recaps!
